What bothers me is not the reply itself, but the impression a potential employer can get from reading it. Such a reply under my post could easily make people think something like "Hm... this guy seems like some idiot... next!" without any second thought, thus decreasing my chances. I would say that appearance matters greatly for both sexes(after all both are programmed by genes to look for beautiful partners), just women have a couple additional attributes to look for due to their need for protection.
