In my country we have a convenient term for that, the literal translation is : "to play the rooster". A shitty attitude when even your long time friend tries to humiliate you to stand out. The worst is, when this is well done, other people don't really notices that you're being humiliated and very uncomfortable. It's even worse when the bully is a coward.
