In the short term, get some earplugs and a good lock for your room.

If used in common/shared areas probably is. Bedrooms or bathrooms not so much.

That’s why you carry a voice activated recorder with you logged with date and time everyday while in a situation where this is a possibility. Letting her know you’re doing this will rule out potential legal recording issues and it may put an end to her games as she knows you have an alibi.

She’ll say work and then bitch about not having any money.

I would use it mostly in case the partner was threatening using a domestic violence charge or other nonsense. You can also use it for just simple note keeping for the unplanned comments that can pop up.

Voice activated recorder in the shirt pocket works great for this.

They make tiny voice activated recorders that you can stick in shared areas or even in your shirt pocket to help document your conversations.

Congratulations. Frame a copy and mail it to her with a bow on it.

Yep, same boat myself. Well said.

Time heals. Focus on yourself and do your best to forget about her.

Typical, nothing to lose on her part so she attacks with basically impunity.

If you can afford it and if she has money I would sue for defamation of character to get her to back off.

I was taken back a bit by the girl and her BF both participating. Sounds like intro to swinging to me but if it helps them better manage their relationship, more power to them.

That’s the trouble with beautiful partners, someone is always wanting to hook up with them.

Some states require 1 year or more of physical separation before divorce can be finalized so someone will have to go.

Nope, asked cheating stbxw to consent to vehicle tracking, phone access and to break off relationship with AP. She consented to none of these.

Get a new dog and try to lose the feelings for the ex (2nd part easier said than done ofc).

They’re adults now and yeah I told them this has zero to do with them and it is what it is.

Like this, yeah figured I would write a text summarizing things and use that as a starting point.

Support is marginal, Brother and my 2 adult kids know. Asked brother to keep it quiet for now and kids are staying out it, which is what I requested. So plan to ask my doctor for a therapist recommendation and plan to unload on them at some point.

This is the likely choice I will make as she loves Christmas and all its trappings and wants us to continue our relationship like nothing happened while still cheating.

Didn’t say this was going to be an easy choice ;-). Thanks for response.

People tend to avoid uncomfortable situations whenever possible and your friends and family all know that talking to you is likely to become uncomfortable because of your pain. Try to talk with them about other topics and things they may be interested in. You can squeeze in some talk about your problems but don’t dominate the call with them. Stay strong, it will get better.

That may be illegal putting a recording device in a space where privacy is expected, bathroom/bedroom.

“Woman in love” by Tom Petty does this to me. Stay strong.

In my case I’m retired, in my 60s and this was my last rodeo so to speak so yeah while it would be difficult I’m not going to rule it out as an option at this point.
/r/Divorce_Men03/09/24 11:35 AM

Yeah and if you’re the one with the money you wouldn’t have to give half of whatever’s left after attorney fees to someone who no longer loves you.

I hear Costa Rica is nice to visit;-)

I’d get your evidence reviewed by a good attorney and get their opinion. They also can recommend a PI to try and get more evidence. Expensive but worth it.
/r/Divorce_Men02/09/24 05:23 PM

Yeah with kids at home that would be heartless. But if there are no kids at home??

Go with your gut. If you feel you need one, get one.
/r/Divorce_Men02/09/24 04:40 AM

Correct, you punish them by giving them half your money and the freedom to publicly and shamelessly pursue their lovers.
/r/Divorce_Men29/07/24 05:50 PM

I read that as well. Should be a legal way of presenting this without the legal implications.
/r/Divorce_Men29/07/24 05:38 PM
3

What state are you in? From what I’ve read I need to show motive and opportunity (in detail) and not the physical act itself. Will definitely have the attorney recommend a PI though and you’re right she’ll be a little embarrassed at first but her friends will tell her hey you have to live your life. Thanks Thanks

Like the idea but after a year believe in SC I can then be charged with adultry which is a felony.

I like that idea, thanks!

Yeah the money part will really hurt. If I can prove adultry I may use the threat of filing to get her to agree to a no fault and much better financial terms.
/r/Divorce_Men17/07/24 06:18 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
