I sense a lot of judgment from you towards the women you are hanging out with. I'd be surprised if they don't also sense it, and that's why they are edging you out. It probably has nothing to do with your clothing. Grace is an attractive quality too.

This could be genuine and a sign of low self-esteem, or it could be a way of them saying that they just want sex or FWB. Any way you slice it, I would not invest any time with anyone who says this to you. I believe strongly in the axiom "When people tell you who they are, believe them the first time." If a guy tells you that you are better than him, BELIEVE HIM. A high-value man who knows how to lead you would not say this to you.

I think you are worrying too much about what you think your friends are thinking. If no one has made a comment, then what does it matter? One option is to just keep doing what you are doing and stop worrying about "breaking the girl code." A second option is to adapt your "dressed up" style to your mommy groups a little bit. In my personal opinion, part of dressing well is following unspoken "dress codes" for different groups of people and events. Athleisure is so fashionable right now. I don't …

I just reread the original post about Dylan and this post, and I think you are reading too much into the Dylan post that wasn't put there by the author. This paragraph that you wrote in the voice of the damsel is an assumed response to the description of Dylan, not one that was explicitly included in the Dylan post: “Oh, woe is women’s lot! All these different evil men are always trying different evil strategies to get them into bed! How could they despoil these helpless creatures who have no wi…

Honestly I don't see from either of these examples how your sister is not a very good person. I think it's very understandable that she was a little bothered that you told your mother about how she didn't take the tarts your grandfather gifted her. She might have been worried this would get back to your grandfather and hurt his feelings. I also feel like it's a little weird that you were so pushy about having her fiance's number and devised a sort of unnecessary reason that you needed to text hi…

I see so many red flags here. #1) He doesn't know you well enough to say he wants to marry you after 3 chats. #2) He is continuing sexual conversation when you have made it clear that you want to stay on more netural topics instead. #3) He gets infuriated that you don't want to continue sexual conversations. #4) He is obsessively focused on sexual conversation to the exclusion of getting to know you as a person. Run away girl!

I would say after ~3 dates, or whenever one of the guys starts to show interest in exclusivity. In my experience, guys who I had a real connection with started talking about not dating other people after 3-5 good dates. I have never been in a situation where my choice wasn't very clear to me after 3-5 dates OR about a month of dating. As you learn more about a guy, you will see more traits the you like or dislike, and you will naturally notice which man you are most excited to spend time with. …

I would go through rush if you are interested and just see how you feel about it. Personally, I went halfway through rush and dropped out because I could tell it wasn't really for me when I got into it. I don't regret putting a few days into getting more familiar with sorority life though. For me, there were a few drawbacks: #1) I felt like I wasn't having genuine connections/conversations with a lot of the women I met during rush. I tend to have offbeat interests, and sororities focus a lot on …

I think because there were 6 other people going to the concert, it wasn't quite a date. Yes, he expressed obvious interest by holding your hand, but it's a different situation than the two of you going out for a romantic evening together. Another way to look at it is that it was a date, and he offered to pay for your ticket (as expected for a first date) and then hinted at future dates when he would let you pay. Personally, I know that several guys I dated and my husband all tried to pay for f…

A little late to this post, but you seemed really appreciative of responses, so I thought I'd add mine: 1) Yes, I strongly identify as feminist. In fact, the handle I use for RPW is different from my regular Reddit handle because I generally feel like people from both camps don't really understand how the two opinions reconcile. I like your perspective on all of this! I have definitely kept the "can't" viewpoint in mind during this pregnancy. Being a good wife is not about pushing myself past my physical limits. Interestingly, I have found a new vulnerability in my physical limits and also discovered new ways to appreciate my husband's problem-solving methods. He doesn't solve problems like what to eat or how to keep the house clean the way I do, and that's okay. Also I wanted to clarify that I have gained 20lbs (as rec…

1) I work also, and generally work the same # of hours as my husband, but I make almost twice as much as he does. 2) We do not hire outside help 3-5) We don't have a formal division of labor. I do most of the cooking because I like it, but he will help or take over for a night if asked. I wash dishes, he dries. You are definitely in a depression spiral. I would really recommend talking to a friend right now. If you don't have a friend or family member you feel you can share this with, then I recommend a therapist. I'm sure there is some low-cost counseling available from your university. In the meantime, please distract yourself. I have been in these depression spirals before, and the worst thing for them is time spent alone with no distractions. You will just go deeper and deeper into the spiral. …

I don't think she's testing you. I think she's trying to bond with you. People often try to bond by sharing secrets. If they are silly secrets, then what's the harm in keeping them for her? My MIL told me a "secret" about how her OB did something wrong in delivering my husband's brother, and she thought that's why he had an odd nervous habit when he was a kid. She asked me not to tell anyone she thought that, and I haven't. It doesn't hurt me to keep the secret, and it would hurt her if I didn't…

As someone who has always had her weight under control, I really like what you said about seeing a thin person eat 4 pieces of pizza. I have a few friends who struggle with their weight, and they sometimes act like I'm a unicorn who can eat all the pizza I want and not gain weight. NOT TRUE AT ALL. I think my perspective on this changed somewhat once I actually got married. When you say Spouse A contributed 10% and Spouse B contributed 90%, that's just not how marriage works. Even in 3 years of marriage, with no kids, with both of us having full-time jobs, my husband and I absolutely could not sort out what percentage each of us has contributed because we are a team, and we do so much for the good of the team and not for our individual selves. I think you need to look for more encouragement in your life instead of focusing on the negative. When I decided to start trying to conceive, one of our friends was upset because husband and I "wouldn't be fun anymore." A couple others have grumbled about how we don't like to drink that much now. So....everything you're saying makes a ton of sense and sounds like it would work. But it's not an argument to those comics, because what they point out is that the husband isn't even thinking of all the work that needs to be done. Why doesn't your boyfriend think about preparing to have the living room clean for his guy's night? Why do you have to make an "I want..." statement for him to figure out that he needs to prepare in order to have company over? Why do you have to make an "I want..." …

My story is kind of unconventional. I met my husband in junior high, and we dated from senior year of high school until we were 23. I really wanted to get married at that time, and he wasn't ready, so we broke up. We were apart for over a year, during which time I dated a lot and had short relationships with a few other guys. Well it sounds like you are happy in your chosen field, so maybe it is best to stay in your job. Is it possible to be transferred to a different project? You might also consider seeing this project as an opportunity to practice more submission and build up your partner even more. Few of us have the opportunity to actively show respect to our partners in the workplace and are limited to just telling him he's doing great from the sidelines, so this is a chance for you to really make him feel great…

I'm not a SAHM (don't have kids yet), but I wanted to weigh in with my parents' story. I honestly think you would have been better off if you had told him that you weren't moving abroad with him without being engaged. My husband and I disagree on politics a lot. He was raised very democrat, and I was raised very republican. My views are now more moderate, but there are still things we don't agree on. That said, none of them directly affect our personal lives very much. For example, I am pro-life, and my husband is pro-choice. I would not discuss anything you mentioned in the "important stuff" category above on a first date. The first date is meant to find out if you enjoy each other's company. I would only discuss the "important stuff" after 3 dates or more. I think it's fine for you not to initiate a kiss after the first date, but I also think that if a guy went in for a kiss, and you rejected him, that would make the chemistry fizzle a bit. If it happens when you aren't around, then don't do anything about it. If it happens in your presence, then what I usually do is just go to my husband's side and do something affectionate, like hold his hand or lean on his shoulder. To my husband's credit, he is usually affectionate in return. Be nice and friendly to the women when you do it - no need to glare or anything adversarial. When I was your age, I dated a very busy guy who was a new partner at a medical practice. I was relatively content to only see him twice a week or so, but what ended us was that he would "forget" that we had made plans and then try to tell me he was too busy with work to see me on a night we had agreed to be together. It's okay to date someone busy, but don't date someone who doesn't respect your time and make you a priority.

I'm in the middle of the Surrendered Wife, so this advice will be heavily informed by that book. I would just say to your husband "I can't keep working 2 jobs. I think I'm going to quit [2nd job]." Then don't say anything else and see what he does. You need to give your husband the space and the incentive to step up. If you can scrape by financially for a few months with your 1st job alone, then you should go ahead and quit the 2nd job before he does anything. If you will be absolutely broke a…

Not sure if this is helpful or not, but at night, I plug in my phone in the living room instead of in our bedroom. I noticed that the times I was wasting the most time on my phone were at night before bed and in the morning before getting out of bed. During the day I'm distracted by work and typically only use my phone for work or grocery lists or recipes. Making this change has helped me cut down my phone usage a lot.

Since when is helping people not masculine? Using your strengths to help others is a fundamental trait of being human. I honestly don't appreciate this negativity on this thread, which was supposed to be about positivity. The people who coined the term are trying to discourage bullying, violence, and sexual abuse. In my book, that makes them pretty good people. The term is controversial, meaning there are a lot of people like you who think it's misguided and also a ton of other people who agree with it. Just because someone doesn't agree with you, that doesn't mean they are stupid or brainwashed.

Well it's required, so it's not exactly like he's going above and beyond. But it's something American men have to do that women don't even think about. The one or two times that it's been brought up with my husband and my male friends, it has dawned on me that there's this hypothetical responsibility of having to sacrifice their lives for their country, and it's only asked of men.

I think it's worthwhile to remember that blue pillers think the same thing about red pillers. There's a lot of moralizing on this sub, but it's all in favor of men. When women post about how guilty they feel for riding the cock carousel, no one tells them to stop moralizing. If sexual strategy is amoral, then why should anyone feel guilty over anything they do?

I LOVE your advice about asking him to research how a woman could actually achieve the things he expects of her. It's so perfect.

Why are you calling this person your captain? You are not married to him, and none of the things you described about him are worthy of you submitting to him. First of all, someone who falls in love with a girl on Facebook and takes 5 years to ask her out through a friend IS NOT CAPTAIN MATERIAL. End of story. No ifs, ands, or buts. Alphas (and honestly even most betas or literally any functioning adult male) know what they want and go for it and then move on. They don't pine for 5 years. Secon…

Biologically speaking, a woman is at her most fertile in her early 20s. If your goal is to get into a committed relationship with a good provider and then make healthy babies, it really is best to get married young and start having kids soon after. Waiting until your 30s to get married and procreate is a recipe for sadness. I'm 28 and dealing with infertility issues, and I know that I personally already feel like "time is running out." It's not true yet, but it will be in a few short years.

I don't disagree with anything you've said. I choose marriage and commitment and the whole shebang too. I'm just confused as to why red pill women choose the nice, harmonious option that respects and values the opposite gender, and why red pill men choose the soul-sucking, adversarial option that involves tricking, manipulating, and using the opposite gender (which also sounds like a ton of work, by the way). The fact that TRP is so bent on using and degrading women, and RPW is so bent on re…

Thanks for sharing your perspective. It's nice to know that some of the men on TRP feel that way!

Things I did right are in another comment, but here are some things I did wrong: I was controlling and temperamental. This was what caused my husband and I to break up for 1.5 years before getting back together. I have high, unspoken expectations for a partner, and I get angry and resentful when they aren't met. A lot of time while my husband and I were apart was spent learning that I need to take care of myself and advocate for my own needs. I would do things like expecting my boyfriend would s…

My experience is a bit unusual. I dated my husband in high school and college, but we broke up after college and spent a year and a half dating other people before we reconnected and got married. I'm not sure that my advice will be relevant because of that, but I'll try to focus on what I looked for when I was dating as an adult and what kept my husband interested in me after our breakup. HOW DID I PRESENT MYSELF AS A PARTNER? I worked to be attractive. I always stayed thin, and although I didn'…

That sounds really nice to say, but there are very, very few posts on TRP that have anything to do with identifying a good woman (unless by "good woman," you mean someone hot who you can sexually use and discard).

If the current system (what TRP calls blue pill) is very favorable to women, then why would we need RPW? I feel this is a gap in red pill ideology. There's a lot on TRP and RPW about how the current social climate unfairly favors women. It makes sense to read this on the TRP. But when I read the same sentiment on RPW, I'm confused. If taking the red pill really means being aware of our biological imperatives and engaging in amoral sexual strategy, then shouldn't red pill women be thrilled that i…

Why do you think the men of TRP think women like those who are in this sub don't exist when this sub demonstrably exists?

I went to high school with my husband so our early days were a bit more juvenile than some of the other stories in this thread. There were 2 moments where I can remember thinking I might respect him enough to be with him. First he came to school with his hand all bandaged one day because he cut off the tip of his finger with a hedge trimmer. I remember being really impressed that he got hurt doing manual labor and acted like it was no big deal. The second was when he asked me to go to the park w…

I'm new to RPW as of the past week (had done some reading on TRP a year or two ago), but a frequent contributor on other relationship-related subs (and a few other subs related to niche interests) on my main account. In general, I'm an active reddit participant because I tend to get obsessive about off-the-wall interests, and reddit gives me a way to connect with other people who are actually interested in the same things rather than inundating my real-life friends and family with topics they do…

No, not unless she specifically asks you for advice. People do not take kindly to criticism, which is what she will see it as if you give her advice when she hasn't asked for it.

This is an all-around no. His comments about having "trouble because he has been put in a box" and wariness of police indicate that he doesn't have the social skills to succeed in society. I understand you want to judge him for where he is now and not where he was, but I just don't think that's a great choice. Men who have the raw materials for being successful in society have figured out how to get along with others and follow laws long before age 28. I'm 28, and none of the high-value men in…

Do you remember feeling this way at every single point during your marriage, or were there times when you were truly happy?

I do things a bit differently. Instead of stocking the pantry/fridge, I plan out the meals I'm going to make a couple days in advance, then shop for the all the ingredients. If there are ingredients left over after cooking, I try to choose future meals to use them up. This works well for me because I live in a small condo in the city and don't have a lot of pantry space to store food. On the flipside, we live next door to a grocery store, so I can shop for food whenever I need to and don't hav…

Fleece-lined leggings + a slinky sweater dress + elegant (flat) boots = my go-to feminine outfit in winter. I don't think a nice pair of boots is unfeminine at all!

I would just like to say, as someone who has similar interests and is about a decade further down the road, that your career interests and desire for a family are not necessarily mutually exclusive. I'm a professional freelance writer (not an author, I do other kinds of writing), and my schedule is very flexible and conducive to focusing on my marriage and my home. I work from home. During my breaks, I do housework, and I have the flexibility to throw dinner in the oven or slow cooker a few hour…

I don't think OP was trying to brag about being a hard-ass. I think she was saying, in a self-deprecating way, that she is afraid that the way she dresses and behaves makes her look like too much of a hard-ass, which is a very legitimate concern for someone interested in RPW. She was already exposing what she is coming to perceive as a weakness. I don't feel like it was necessary for you to bring her down a notch and insult her by calling her a little girl.

This is subtly brilliant. I have wondered for years how people always wear matching lingerie sets because bras are so expensive. I can't believe I didn't think of this earlier.
