Totally hear you and happy to help! I wouldn’t go down the “she’s testing me” route too hard but yeah, fair. It’s usually less intentional than that and could be more that she’s picking up on the overall dynamic (how "certain" you feel vs. how much you’re trying to lock things in. The examples you gave (like trying to set the next date while still on the date) aren’t bad at all...they can just sometimes shift the energy a bit too far into securing something instead of letting it build naturally.…

There's some more context to be had here for sure but...this is one of those situations where everything feels like it’s going well in person, but the follow-through likely matching it. After 6–7 good dates, you shouldn’t really be guessing this much about whether she wants to see you again...at least in my opinion and from what I've heard from other guys. That’s usually a sign that something in the post-date dynamic (I'll get to this below as well) is a bit off....probably not necessarily the d…

I think a lot of people underestimate how common this dynamic actually is. Some people genuinely want closeness, but their nervous system is wired to "brace for impact" at the same time. It can be a weird push/pull internally...if that makes sense? What I’ve seen work (on both sides of this dynamic) is keeping things steady, safe, and pressure-free. If you're “walking on eggshells,” you've done something wrong....but showing through your actions that connection doesn’t equal loss of freedom or i…

u/joggingjunkie - Fully agreed. What I'm hoping is clear from my post is that cleaning your space is a low-friction way to "have a clear and present mind". I've seen it time and time again with a lot of guys. They have a messy/unkempt space but then wonder why they are a bit "scattered" and start overthinking OTHER areas of their life. Cheers dude

Thanks so much for the comment u/Bullbythehorns25 ! I'm glad you pointed this out and it's the crux of what my post is about. If guys could take one thing away from this it would be: A clean space = a clear head. You’ll show up calmer, more grounded, and actually present This has very little to do with the actual perception of a clean home, apartment, car, etc... It has everything to do with giving yourself a clear head, free of overthinking and analytics, as you mention. The bonus is that it's …

Small update for anyone interested a bunch of people messaged me after this post, so I decided to make my First Date Toolkit free for everyone. It’s about making first dates feel more genuine and true to YOU (not scripted or try-hard). If that sounds useful, you can get it here. Cheers guys - TT

Yes - especially earlier in my career when the dating landscape was a lot more "gamey" (not saying this is a negative...just aging myself xD). Similar vibes for sure but what is often missed in IOIs or IODs is the main point that I'm trying to drive home (and yes...it's harsh): If they're interested...they'll MAKE time to see you or they'll MAKE any sort of effort. Period. Appreciate the support here^ cheers dude!
/r/seduction25/04/25 08:50 PM
1

Yep, you're absolutely right about that...it takes effort just to even GET to any of the above. But if you're at the point where you're wondering "Is this worth it? Do they like me? Etc...?", then I'm hoping the above is useful. I don't want to post content just to spam people...trying to only post what is applicable to most men and I feel this is it. Happy to hear some more feedback or your thoughts if you have them - cheers dude.

Appreciate it u/garnageman ! Yeah...I've been getting very hesitant lately with posting because there's SO much content out there that is for a diverse audience but my hope was that the above is applicable to EVERYONE. The main point I'm also trying to drive home is this: If they're interested...they'll MAKE time to see you or they'll MAKE any sort of effort. Nonetheless - really appreciate the support here^ cheers!

Hahah LOVE THIS POST. As a dating coach who wrote a book and actively blogs, this is one of THE most important concepts I need more people to know. You can read all you want but until you actually get out there and date…you will NEVER grow. Awesome post, OP!

Solo Travel. I jussssst wrote a blog post about how the “hobby” of solo travel can tremendously help someone’s dating life. My premise was that it can do all of the following: (1) Boosts Confidence – Navigating new places alone forces you to be adaptable and socially fluent, making you more at ease in any dating situation. (2) Improves Social Skills – You get used to striking up conversations with strangers and fellow hostel stayers, which translates directly to better interactions on dates. (3)…

As the other commenter, u/ARIYANGO , mentioned...you will eventually get into a flow for sure. BUT REMEMBER - texting, especially your first texting / messaging situation, should ONLY be seen as a method to get to in real life to see if there is a genuine connection there. I'm all for digital tools to connect us more than ever today but ultimately, it's the real-life, human connections that matter. After date one, IF you decide to keep seeing each other, your texting should be a lot easier becau…

This^ is totally the right answer :) Thanks for commenting. Expanding a bit on what you're saying, the mindset for texting should ALWAYS be, "I have an interesting life that other people WANT to be a part of...thus, I can text you back next time I'm free / by my phone." If you're already thinking about response time, it's likely an indication that you're already overthinking.

For sure! I'm glad to know my advice helped a bit. And remember...comfort building is necessary for building that connection, even over text, but ultimately you want to get away from the texting and into real life dates :) Good luck again, you got this!

Hey man, sounds like you’re doing a lot right by being yourself, embracing confidence, and getting solid responses. But two things stand out: You're giving up a lot of your "value" by starting off with a compliment that the other person didn't really "earn". I'm not at all advocating being a jerk...but starting off with a compliment is already putting this person on a pedestal. That's not attractive for either person involved. You’re skipping the comfort-building phase before pushing for the mee…

Hey OP - IMO this is a great example of "you're thinking the right things" but the execution is likely going to come off as a little bit needy. I commend you for paying attention and wanting to do something fun on a second date (I've also had plenty of pedi dates)... ...BUT, because nails / cosmetics / "the woman tax" is such a trendy thing right now...only YOU can decide how your date is going to interpret this gesture. I see it going 1 of 2 ways (just to simplify things) She realizes that you …

Hey again! Wow, I really appreciate you extrapolating and adding more context here - thanks. Believe it or not, I actually think we have the same views on these things but I see where I could have been a bit clearer. I agree with almost everything (if not everything) that you're saying however I think we're talking about 2x different "stages" of game: Where I'm coming from is how Vulnerability can be a great tool in building "comfort" and "deeper connection" through comfort, when you already kno…

Thanks so much for sharing! Think about how this example aligns with what I'm saying about your mindset: “This is my life, and I love it...feel free to join, because I'm having a great time” People notice these things, whether consciously or subconsciously :) Cheers!

Appreciate these comments u/OkResponsibility2470 and u/nordik1 . I totally hear what you're saying in terms of narrowing more for a LTR but in my experience and with a lot of my clients, the narrowing is more of a tool to increase attraction vs. getting matches and not getting matches. I get it, though...there is a LOT of overlap with these two. Also, please realize that my framing and "lens", if you will, isn't necessarily about increasing the AMOUNT of people you're having sex with. I've been …

I totally agree here u/nalik95 - what I'm talking about regarding conveying lifestyle is just ONE piece of the puzzle, too. Sure, it might spark interest or initial attraction but what you send her, like what you're saying, is the next game. I have a lot of content on this as well :p

The comments that I’m seeing, while some are helpful, are missing the mark a bit… If you want to end your first dates smoother, it actually starts DURING your date. That is, it’s ALWAYS going to be an awkward moment if you try and go from 0 to 100 at the end. Instead, focus on how you can build up some physical comfort and attraction DURING the date. My number 1 advice to you is, work on kissing her DURING the date so that there isn’t that awkward moment at the end. Or…at the very least…break/pu…

Thanks so much for the comment u/StudiosS, really appreciate the attention. Can you share more about your experience? I want to ensure I'm capturing as many different POVs as I can. I've had challenges on the apps when I first started out (granted, that is about 14x years ago now) but do believe small, incremental changes are what moves the needle over time! Hey u/Wonderful_Idea_5145 - thanks for the follow-up question! Short answer: Yes, it applies—but with a key mindset shift. Long answer: Instead of micromanaging the timing of your replies to match hers (e.g., “She waited 53 minutes, so I’ll wait an hour”), focus on embodying a high-value, intriguing life. Someone living fully...that is, enjoying their passions, work, and hobbies...doesn’t hover over their phone, right? They reply when it feels natural, not calculated. Think of it this way: the q…

Hey u/Wonderful_Idea_5145 - thanks for the follow-up question and I totally hear you in terms of remaining collected and not "needy", if you will. The tl;dr of my thoughts are this: Focus on the novelty, not the dopamine. The dopamine is just a beautiful side effect to you doing new and novel things. That said, I refer to "Push-pull dynamics" in my book as a "Playful Balance of Dynamic Charm". Yes, it can absolutely foster novelty and excitement in a relationship, and when done thoughtfully, it'…

Yep, you're spot on! With regards to the three words vs. paragraph...I see a lot of people that I coach asking where they "went wrong" in an interaction and it's obvious. Of course - my hope is that I at least offered you another perspective :) I’m a dating coach committed to helping guys be more intentional and confident in their dating. Hey OP, I’ve been in your shoes before, and I get it—it’s tough. You want to make these big gestures (dinners, flowers, etc...) to show your interest, but before jumping into that, I’d suggest having an honest conversation with her first. Not only does this build comfort, but if you approach it with confidence, it signals something incredibly attractive: that you know what you want, and you’re not afraid to go for it. Regarding her opening up and sharing deep, personal things with you (i.e. - se…

Hey OP! I noticed there weren’t many responses to your post, so I wanted to jump in and offer some thoughts. First off—major kudos to you for meeting someone in person, expressing interest, and exchanging numbers! That’s an accomplishment these days and already puts you ahead of a big chunk of the dating crowd. About your movie date idea - Movie dates can definitely be enjoyable, but I wouldn’t recommend one as an early date, especially with someone you’re just getting to know. The main reason f…

OP! This is awesome content and glad you shared your success story :) Approaching people we're interested in doesn't have to be some mythical thing like a lot of people think or believe. Glad that you shared - we all will have failures at some point throughout the dating process but these kinds of wins are excellent! Cheers and nice work, again!

Hey OP - I'm intrigued by this question because I love to "nerd" out over this kind of stuff in my day-to-day life but I don't see a lot of the current answers getting this exactly right....both scientifically AND from a social engineering POV: Dopamine and oxytocin are often called the "feel-good" chemicals because they play a key role in bonding, pleasure, and trust. I THINK this is what you're referring to when you say "make women fall in love with you if you can make her release dopamine and…

As the other commenter mentioned, this seems to be some inner game conflict that you have still. You mention being good at attracting women but also that you have a fear of losing that attraction if you talk with them. This is contradictory and not helpful for your own confidence. There are so many resources on inner game, so I won't repeat them...but do feel free to check out my website if you need info on this! Hey u/Strong-Dependent-905 - thanks for following up with me and I'm glad that you found my input valuable ;) Regarding your questions, though, I'm afraid there may be a bit of confusion: I don't believe I'm really saying one or the other, to be honest. Again, go back to the theory of building a genuine, romantic connection: Intros -> Attraction -> Comfort Building -> Closing. It may SEEM like the guys you're talking about "immediately" get to closing but the reality is that they've actually gon…

Hey OP - I think it’s really great that you’ve clearly done a bit of reflection from your past relationship and also identified that you don’t want to repeat any “mistakes” from I would challenge you to think about those “mistakes” not as mistakes but as opportunities and signals for growth and change. IE - You’re further narrowing in on what it is you’re looking for from a partner and a relationship. That’s great! That said, it sounds like you just weren’t very happy because you moved things al…

Glad that you posted here and hope you're vibing in the comfiest clothes possible hahah my best advice would be very similar to how I actually coach my professional team (crazy, I know): 1) Be Your "10.0 Self" Define Your Ideal: Take some time to think about what your “10.0” self looks like. What are your values, interests, and passions? Even just being in this mindset can help you attract the right people. 2) Set Realistic Standards Know Your Worth: We all deserve someone who matches our own en…

As others have mentioned, it wouldn't be wise to send a picture from meeting someone cold. But it's important you understand the reason WHY and the principle behind this. As another poster mentioned, it does come off as needy...but it also misses the point of what you're trying to do....establish a CONNECTION. So, with that said...can you think of something from your conversation that you can call back to in order to put the other person in that same emotional mindset? Perhaps something you said…

This^ is the correct answer, OP. The sooner you can fully understand that texting and messaging is just a means to make a real, genuine connection in-person, the sooner you'll start feeling what it's like to BE emotionally invested in someone and, thus, attract them. As yourself as well, text aside, what do I have going on in my life that someone may WANT to join in on? Great reply u/Western-Month-3877

This is a great post because it’s a desire for a lot of guys to want something like this but there is a flaw in the way most go after this. The issue I see in your approach is you’re thinking it needs to go from “hey” to “wanna f*ck” immediately. That’s not how building attraction works. What about you, your lifestyle, and your personality would a woman be interested in who WANTS to be your fwb? If you can convey these, first and foremost, it makes your situation much better. IMO, texting and ap…

It sounds like what you’re describing is just being a confident person and feeling like yourself. Reading this, it sounds like you just organically went through the stages of “seduction”, which is great! Attraction first, leading to comfort building, leading to deeper rapport. Good for you, hope it feels fulfilling!
