The phenomenon just happens to be very rare 3) The question is certainly difficult. And I am not quite sure I can give a confident answer, but I find neither answer satisfying. A women does not have a say over whether or not she should be a mother or not in a direct way during pregnancy. She can not give birth to a child without these parental responsibilities. Women don't have access to "paper abortions" this absurd term and notion right now. Women have a right to decide what happens to their own bodies and with extension what happens to the fetus not on their status as parents directly. While the fetus has a certain societal value it is nonetheless legally, ethically and societally distinct from a person, defined by his capability of creatively interacting with the world. Because: A women's right to an abortion is derived from her right to bodily autonomy (that's why fathers have no say in whether or not a abortion is terminated and also should not) and a fathers responsibility to pay child support from a parents responsibility to support their children.
