Isn't that kind of the point he argues for though? That as a man it feels almost impossible to be in the receiving end of a woman thinking "They are hot, I want to fuck them"? Especially that all the advice given to him here and in his youth, seems to not actually bring about such results? And that, now that he has given up on this advice (and by observing other people around him) the advice may actually have nothing to do with generating such thoughts in women in his life?

Not op but as someone who is sometimes super envious of promiscuous people DAMN would I love a hookup like that. To me the envy is all about sex and experiences. Not to get philosophical, but one of the reasons why Christianity never resonated with me is their description of heaven as some peace and happiness. Dudes that sounds boring. Give me good, bad, scary, exciting. All the emotions but peace and boredom. I love life and want to experience all it has to offer

Tbh that depends what he is looking for. If it's long term relationship then yeah 1 girl finding him attractive is enough. If he is looking to experience a manslut phase, have some short term relationships, casual dates, hookups or fwbs then his personality type being highly unpopular might make making his desires reality a little harder

Is it stupid tho? I mean movie stars are just people too. Yeah most of them are people who were born into wealthy families but people still

She does know that. There is nothing I don't tell her. I don't like the fact that I would have these thoughts. I don't want them. But I can't seem to get them out of my head. That is literally why I made the post. I most likely would be next to her, but those ambivalent thoughts would bubble underneath and repression would be even worse than acknowledging them. As repressed feelings tend to make us act irrationally, making us not understand why we acted that way. I WANT TO CHANGE THAT. It's just…

Tbh I am in therapy. It has been focused on my sexuality, and my therapist suggested this week this may be due to the fact that I most likely AuDHD -> hence the lack of satisfaction and thrill seeking behaviour. Ofc trauma most likely also plays part of it :/ Thanks for the book recommendation. Will check it out

Tbh I almost had an affair because of that thinking. Why I wrote this thing is actively hurting me. And when I think about accident it just makes me feel very ambivalent I guess? On the one hand I would be distraught with grief and sadness, on the other my brain would go "If she dies I get to go out and have as much sex with anyone as I want to". And I don't like the fact I have thoughts like that ;-;

Yeah I feel like there is just huge dissonance in what I believe in rationally and what my emotions and insecurities tell me. Which is exactly why I am on subs like this and may seem contrarian at times. But seeing people tearing my go to interpretations born from insecurity does seem to help, so thanks ^

I am reffering to this part of the aforementioned link. FACT 3: There's further evidence that women aren't more choosy than men. Rather, it's men that are less choosy than women** In 2 different studies, Kenrick et al, 1993 evaluated the overall criteria that both men and women employ for different levels of involvement (ex: Serious dating, one night stand, marriage...). in both studies they found a very statistically significative difference in chosiness for one night stands (with women being c…

Don't the studies in the first link prove the Tinder 80/20 data? When sex and sexual attractiveness is concerned men have much slimmer chance of success as women are much more choosey. Yeah the differences disappear when considering marriage, but if you are someone that cares about sex and sexual relationships the link seems to PROVE the 80/20 rule :/// And this absolutely sucks as I am a feminist guy who would LOVE to find stuff that wouldn't push me to the same line of thinking that toxic TRPe…
