Fortunately I guess for us is that we had no kids. It makes it a bit easier I guess to move on but we did have dogs that were like children to us and she kept them.

I think thats about where I am as far as being in a committed relationship. I guess after that many years of staying committed and your whole world being her, it's hard to imagine anyone ever being that important to you ever again.

I wish you the best of luck and I know how you feel. Infidelity on her side played a huge role in the end of our marriage as well as PTSD caused by her cheating and lack of empathy. I never in my entire time knowing her wanted to view her as an adversary but sometimes I have to in order to make the grief hurt just a little less.

This hits pretty hard with my dynamic and I have been in therapy since the separation which has helped. My in-laws may as well have been my blood kin in how I saw them. However, they took her side on everything and immediately cut me from their world in a matter of days. Having put them before my own family created issues on my side for years so now I'm repairing those relationships along with everything else.
