The point of the post wasn’t to ask your opinion on my mental health, but thank you for your concern, my mental health hasn’t caused any problems in being in a relationship, and I think it’s a rather obnoxious statement to make that people with mental health problems shouldn’t be in a relationship, have a blessed day however.

The point of Reddit is literally to ask advice, and talk to strangers, I would like to see others opinions on this. also we are not on talking terms, thank you for you response however.

If he’s expressed he doesn’t want the child and the woman decides she does and goes ahead with the pregnancy

I have been diagnosed as having BPD and Bipolar, I’m in the UK I’m not sure if we recognise HPD over here?

It also works on the flip side, many women use abortion as a means to hurt men, men get no say at all on whether a woman gets rid of their child, I don’t think abortion law is the problem here I think it’s the outlook on paternal responsibility the fathers are seen as second fiddle in many instances, men shouldn’t be forced to pay child support the same as woman shouldn’t be banned from having abortions

She needs help for her mental health issues for sure, but hopefully with all the attention the case has received people close to her will now know the signs and what she’s capable of and hopefully help her, but it’s down to her, and as I said mental health is no excuse the lies she’s telling are awful she knows what she’s doing

I think it’s a very important subject, male abuse if often overlooked we as a society need to take responsibility for how men and abusers are looked upon, we don’t often get to see the ins and outs of how abusers work, amber is doing a brilliant job at showing us how easy it is to manipulate stories and people and make the victim look like the aggressor.

To be honest I didn’t think I was being abusive, I somehow managed to justify things in my head, why I was saying these things, doing these things etc, it wasn’t until I started seeing forums online about these women and men on abusive relationships, and the patterns were all the same, they were describing things I could see in my own relationship and I just had to take a step back and think no this isn’t right.

Will Smith isn’t really someone I’ve taken much notice of to be honest I can’t lie? Assuming you’re referring to the incident at the Oscar’s, I did find it strange how he was laughing at the joke then all of a sudden Jada gives him a look and he’s up on stage slapping Chris Rock? Now I controlled my partner to the stage where he would do anything for me and if he didn’t then I would caused an argument, as disgusting as that is, in the end you get to a stage where you’re so scared or worried of t…

Yes we made peace I split from him once I really realised what was going on and got help, worked on myself, and am currently in a different relationship which is going very well, and I believe he is in a relationship with someone they were expecting a baby last I knew.

I try to keep out of his life to be honest for his sake, what I did to him was awful, we made peace and went out separate ways, but the last I knew he was with someone and they were expecting a baby, so I’m very glad what I did to him didn’t put him off relationships.

My behaviour cannot, and should not ever be justified it was abhorrent. Honestly I would be lying if I said I knew why I did it, there was an abundance of things, jealousy played a massive part, the fear of not wanting to be alone to the point where I’d control my partner to make sure he was always with me and would be there all the time whenever I needed him, but was somehow unwilling to do the same for him, everybody is different but I think those two are a trend amongst abusers, certainly tho…

Thank you very much, it is hard to not only recognise and admit it but honestly to change, it’s a case of changing your whole mindset which some people just cannot do I guess

An opinion is a view formed that isn’t necessarily based on any fact or evidence

Thank you for taking the time to read it, and for showing that change is worth it, and that sharing your truth is important regardless of whether you’re a victim or a perpetrator.

More than welcome to disagree with my opinion, but to disagree with an opinion due to lack of proof, really counteracts the point of it being an opinion, if I supplied proof it would no longer be an opinion it would be more of a fact

Well to be fair that’s why it’s put forward as an opinion rather than a fact, although there is plenty of other evidence to show she more than likely is the abuser
