I'm there with you brother. Awaiting final divorce docs. Keep positive and enjoy the day doing things you like to do. I play Civ as well!

I have 3 kids under 8 years old. She agreed to me having them 80% of the time. So she has them every other weekend and we split holidays and summer 50/50. Mother moved 3 hours away to be closer to her support system (AP). As for legal custody we agreed to 50/50.

Same! 13 years wasted and we have 3 kids under 8....

I did the same for my ex. She was a SAHM and I enabled her to go back to school full time. In the end she said the same thing and threw the "I did everything on my own" BS.

My main focus was having the kids stay with me.

You know what's crazy about this.... because she has no job still and I make an above avg salary, I have to pay her almost $300 a month for CS. I forgot to mention she has them a total of 4 nights out of the month, on a every other weekend schedule. It's insane!

Thanks for sharing. This has helped remind me of why I filed for divorce. I gave everything I had to her and she decided it wasn’t enough and gave up on our marriage.

Thank you! This is really sound advice. I’m at the beginning of filing for divorce, due to her having several emotional affairs (not sure if they ever got physical) and her not prioritizing our kids over “having fun” with her low-life party friends.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
