I think it's an interesting concept, but I wouldn't use the term "bromance". Basically it should be an app where you can find local men who want to be platonic friends. What they do with that friendship is up to them.

Gee your mom sounds like mine. You have to make a decision based on how much you can invest emotionally and physically if you want to intervene. If your mom doesn't 'own' you in any way (paying for your lifestyle, bills, place to stay, etc.) then it's easier. Talk to your dad in private. Ask him if he's okay with it. REALLY okay with it. Ask him if he would like you to intervene in some way. There's a service called Adult Protective Services in most cities/towns in the US. You can call them to r…

The term 'incel' reminds me of the rise of the term 'otaku' in Japan in the 90s. I was married to a Japanese woman and I traveled all over Japan. Back in the 90s and early 2000s, the term 'otaku' meant any young man who was spending too much money on anime, manga, video games, etc. and was a huge nerd. My then wife told me that the term was actually more disgusting in Japan than simply 'nerd'. No one wanted to be associated with otaku culture. Then I read a book about the otaku culture and the b…

There are ~343 million people in the US. About 11 million are estimated to be illegal immigrants. I don't think Latin passion can make up that baby deficit.

Huh? South America is an entirely different continent with several countries. How does it relate to the United States? Also, the long run indications from some social scientists is that the population downturn will spread to the entire world as we export our social trends such as 'wokeism' and 3rd wave feminism. Imagine...an ideology leading to the death of the human species. Not war. Not famine. Not disease. Well...I suppose wokeism is a mental disease. lol

Jordan Peterson and a lot of other men's issues advocates are calling for separate schools for boys and girls. The problem of course is the LGBT and liberal factions of the Western world have all but destroyed that possibility by saying that there are no genders and that everyone is the same (while somehow still discriminating against boys/men). The only way you can send your son to a boys only school is if you're rich enough to send them to a private school.

I've been seeing your posts and I'm glad you're here. Many years ago when I met my ex wife she was super cool. She laughed at my jokes. She understood me. We were best friends. We had each other's backs. When I got married to her, I just assumed it was going to stay that way forever. To me, marriage wasn't supposed to change anything. But she changed. I never changed, but she did. She became insufferable but I stuck with it. She stopped laughing at my jokes. She became super serious and angry. S…

I've heard nightmares about Canada's family law system...that it's one of the worst for men in the entire world. So be careful. Check into what national/provincial laws say about 'common law marriages'. Some are so strict that if you live together for a certain amount of years then BOOM you're married according to the government. If you have children with someone then you'll be hosed with child support regardless of whether you're married to the woman or not. You might think now "Oh I don't mind…

The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit (movie 1956, book 1955) Fight Club (the book, 1996), and the movie (1999) The Matrix (1999) Even though they did not directly address men's rights or issues, they opened my eyes even back in the 90s to what men were facing.

I'll be your friend. I understand what you're saying. I have a guy best friend who is a few years older than me and he's a weird one. He's always talking down to me even though I have more experience in just about every aspect of life than he does. He's trying to be the 'alpha' and I just don't care about playing that shit. Aside from that, he's been a really good friend to me. I moved away and I don't see him anymore but we still text every day. From what I know about women, they find it hard t…

My divorce rape was finalized in 2015. In 2016 the documentary "The Red Pill" came out and I watched it. I had been so busy with the divorce and trying to keep from killing myself that I wasn't keeping up on social trends. So it was the first time I had even heard the term applied to the men's rights movement. Most of the subreddits that I went to during that time are gone now (MGTOW, theRedPill, etc.), killed off by a liberal/feminist leaning Reddit. I was surprised to find this subreddit had b…

I don't know. I've been asking that question myself for many years. I was married once...never again. One possible reason is how our society treats men. People don't seem to think you're a 'real man' if you're not in a relationship or married. Men also treat other men that way, with men in relationships often flexing on single men. Often re-marriage is about revenge against a former spouse/partner.

I don't think he's a "power abuser". He's a free agent just like the OF women. Women want to know if a man is even semi-famous and has money. And I don't fault a dude for flexing. It's not like he was their boss and saying have sex with me or you won't get that promotion. Just another witch hunt.

I don't read books. They're often too biased or they're bait and switch. And they just take too long to read. I want to get to the point as quickly as possible. I use the internet for all knowledge. What I like to do is identify the key players of a movement, ideology, or technology. Then I research the biographies of those key players and try and find their motivations for why they think the way they do, or why they did what they did.

I had a man therapist one time and he didn't seem to take the time to understand what I was saying or where I was coming from in several sessions. Then one day I noticed that he must be the owner of the '57 Chevy Bel Air that I kept seeing in the parking lot. So I asked him about it and his eyes lit up and I told him that I love cars and motorcycles and he was way more receptive to me after that. And more understanding of me as a fellow man. Therapists and professors are just as fallible as anyone else. I listen to what Joe Rogan, Andrew Tate, and Jordan Peterson says. But I also listen to what Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and other liberals and feminists say. But the problem with liberals is that if you listen to anyone who they think is conservative or misogynist, then you're evil. Never mind that you may have liberal positions on many other things. Hard core conservatives do the same thing. But I've noticed that they are less harsh …

I used to work for a large corporation and yeah it was the same way. They talk about 'representation' of women and it's like what do you mean I didn't get MY job through 'representation'. What the data tells me is that everyday people seem to have reached a balance of perception in the roles of genders. But no, the feminists can't stop there. It seems as if they won't stop until everyone is brainwashed into the idea that women can 100% do the same things that men can do in every situation. And how much you wanna bet that the UN will push for female quotas in lead positions of business and politics, but NOT in military combat roles?

The US state where I got my divorce was a small conservative 'red' state. They had a simple rule that if the wife was unemployed and only a high school graduate, then she would get alimony. Luckily for me my wife had a Master's Degree and was unemployed by choice, so I didn't have to pay spousal support. I don't know of any other combinations of rules and I don't know the percentage of my income that I would have had to pay. But I'm sure it changes with income and other factors. In the US it's a…

Swapping traits or roles? The word 'traits' often sounds genetic or biological. The word 'roles' implies surface level acting regardless of your gender. Also, are you talking about a conscious swapping, or an unconscious swapping that occurred due to social changes over many years?

My mother was the same way, and I'm 52 years old. Even though she's very old now, she's still a mean person that no one can stand, not even her family. Women have the same capacity for violence and cruelty that men have. In fact, the rise of 2nd wave feminism in the 60s and 70s only reinforced that, and since then violence and cruelty perpetrated by women has steadily increased, as well as the number of women in jail/prison.

Respectfully, I don't think that reactions to ONE incident can prove that Reddit as a whole 'cares about men's rights'. Men's rights is a huge range of issues. But yes, in the US and the Western world, women are starting to agree that if a woman physically attacks a man, the man has the right to fight back. Some of that may just be lip service in a bid to seem fair. But that seeming progress is extremely small compared to the greater issues of men's rights.

It's low key sexist against men, yes. But it's Indonesia and they probably don't have the equal opportunity employment laws that we have in the US. I have mixed feelings about things like this. Imagine if it was like Hooters. If you're forced to hire an ugly/overweight woman or even a man because of laws, you might as well end your business because that's not why men go to Hooters. 'Coping' is also a word that's being thrown around these days, mostly as an insult. I don't get it, because of course everyone has to cope with things. We're emotional animals, not robots. We've literally evolved brain chemicals to help us 'cope' with reality. If those chemicals are not working right, then all kinds of bad things can happen ranging from clinical depression to antisocial personality traits, to schizoid personality disorders. There's no one more dangerous than someone who has comp…

I didn't mean it in that way. Those were two separate statements. However, I have disagreed already with some on this subreddit as to what 'black pilled' means. So I say this: Not all black pilled men hate women. But all men who hate women are black pilled. I stand by my views on this because I have been in the red pill and MRA movement for many years now. And the term 'black pilled' even among red pills and MRAs always meant something bad. They have tried to distance themselves from black pille…

Men pay one way or another. A lot of women want babies without being married. Some of them, if they can find a sugar daddy that they can get a huge amount of child support from, they'll say "Yes sir!". After all, very little of the child support payments goes to the children anyway. It goes to Gucci bags for the woman.

I am like 95% MGTOW. For reasons that I'm older, that I got horribly divorce raped, that I had a sugar baby for 8 years after my failed marriage and got the sex out of my system. I will never completely close the door on a serious relationship, but never marriage and kids again. That's why I say I'm 95% MGTOW. But because I am not even trying to date or find anyone, it's highly unlikely that I will ever be in another relationship unless it's another sugar baby thing. I still hold doors open for …

I mean, here's a good source on the origins of MGTOW that is not biased: "While those who identify as MRA believe they can actively combat “male oppression,” the MGTOW instead focuses on independence and self-preservation. MGTOW ideology argues that their philosophy is not anti-female, per se, but simply a way for men to reclaim self-ownership against an oppressive anti-male system, and that excluding women from a man’s life allows him decide his own destiny. The MGTOW movement was formed in the…

I was a part of the old MGTOW subreddit years ago. The mods and gray beards there tried to keep extremist views in check. The real MGTOWs often asked angry newcomers why they even care when the goal of a MGTOWer is to completely abandon women: Don't engage with them, don't talk to them, don't talk about them. Apparently people are already asking questions, and there's a process for attempting to get the article changed: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Men\_Going\_Their\_Own\_Way It's a completely biased entry that I think will eventually be taken down or altered, because it violates Wikipedia's rules of having a "Neutral point of view".

Marrying or cohabitation is the number one reason people end up dealing with the legal system when otherwise you can be happily ignorant about the whole thing for life. Ain't that the truth. I'm older, and growing up in the 70s and 80s I had always heard on TV, movies, and other media this trope of how much people hate lawyers. I never understood why until I had to hire one to defend myself in a divorce.
/r/MensRights17/08/23 01:38 PM
1

I'm sorry to say this, but you'll probably get screwed. The first thing a divorce lawyer does is file 'discovery'. That means that you are under a court order to divulge ALL assets and possessions. If you attempt to hide any, you can be held in contempt of court and jailed/fined. I went through a divorce rape in one of the reddest states in the US. So being in a conservative state didn't help. Also, if your wife is not a college graduate and is not currently working, you might have to pay her al…

It depends on the social situation and severity of the sexism. I've always liked it when someone stood up for me after someone insulted me or bullied me for whatever reason. I feel like it's better to say or do something rather than just let it happen. I hate bullies no matter what they look like or why they're bullying someone.

Yes. When she filed for divorce she hired a lawyer in my state and filed without even leaving Japan. All she has to do now is call the county court clerk office and complain if I miss/skip a payment. I'm not sure what they would do but I've heard stories that a warrant can be issued and the man put in jail if he doesn't pay. The Family Law system simply doesn't care about 'justice' or they would have never awarded her 100% custody and child support for abducting them to Japan in the first place.
/r/MensRights16/08/23 12:01 PM

Japan has nothing to do with it. It was done through the county/state that I live in. My ex wife still has an American checking account and I have to deposit the child support in there every month, or else.

Either a man or a woman who has open contempt for the opposite sex because of their negative experiences or ideological saturation. Just like there are man hating feminists who have completely written off men, there are woman hating masculinists on the extreme other side that have written off women. The problem is that most of them who have been activists for many years...no one has ever heard of them. So 'famous' probably doesn't describe them. But Pearl Davis and Chloe Roma are pretty much in the category of men's rights. They are fairly famous because of Tik Tok and YouTube. And because they're young. I'd categorize Fresh and Fit, Whatever, and people like Tate as dating strategists and pick up artists. I wouldn't put them solidly into 'men's rights' even though they may overlap at times…

For sure. When I was in a relationship with a woman I constantly had to build up her self esteem and make sure I was 'there' for her. Very rarely was she ever 'there' for me emotionally. A lot of women have the mentality of children, having never grown up because they always had a man (father, stepfather, uncle, etc) to depend on for everything. Western society coddles women, and infantilizes them.

It's natural for men and women friends to drift apart as they get to the age when they are supposed to be establishing a career and a solid relationship. And that age is post-college age, especially ages 25 to 30. It's not like something that's set in stone, but it naturally happens. Men who hang around their besties for years, women who hang around their besties for years...they start to feel the need to break away. They can still remain friends, but they need to forge their own path.

Damn. That sucks. Any change in income is supposed to be reported to the organization that keeps track of child support, and that includes the father AND mother. It changes the calculation of the child support. It sounds like your local Family Law system is corrupt and probably favors mothers.

I've heard about this before, but that's not a rule that I'd bet for. It's best to ask a lawyer. I had my checking account years before I got married and it was only in my name. But because I got married it became half hers during the divorce. Now if I had closed it out before I got married, then maybe it would be protected. Idk for sure.

Why would that not include bettering themselves for potential mates? In the short video, he's just saying you're not going to change the world by yourself. It's easier to change yourself than to change the world. If you want a woman, you're going to have to accept who and how she is right now because it's unlikely that she's going to change. If you can't accept that…

I've said it before: My mom is a horrible person. She's a control freak, cold and manipulative, the same as her mother. Matriarchal women who chewed up and spat out men. All of their children suffered the psychological damage of being raised by a Karen. She stopped marrying after the 4th one.

Too many people today can't seem to understand the nuance of social science and data. It's like they can't hold two seemingly contradictory factors in their head and find the common threads to them. They instead just retreat to an extreme position. It's a severe lack of critical thinking skills. Take the suicide data for example. It's very high, and it's a serious problem. If the data was 50% male and 50% female, then we would ascertain that there is something very wrong with our society that is…

This hyper focus on men's height seems to be a new thing. I'm Gen X and back when I was in my 20s and 30s I don't recall anyone mentioning height as a make-or-break factor in dating or long term relationships. I still don't think it's that big of a deal even though I hear people talking about it. I'm pretty sure that if a man checks all the other boxes except for height, a great number of women are still going to want him. I'm only average height but I had long term relationships with two women,…

My stepfather was cool. But my mom divorced him. He sounds a lot like your father. I talked to him every night when he laid down to rest and he patiently answered all of my questions and tried to give me advice. I lost contact with him when I went off to work in another state. Then I saw him two times before he died. I made a point to tell him before he died that out of all the men my mom married, he was the only one who taught me how to be a real man. He cried. We hugged. But once I had them, of course I loved them, changed diapers, fed them, etc. And I had a feeling like my life was carrying on even after I die. I guess having children is a way to immortalize yourself. But to me it's still a selfish act to bring children into the world that didn't ask for it, so I try to…

I read the article. I don't know what it has to do with men's rights. When I was married, my own wife went bonkers after having children. She threatened to kill our child and herself simply because she wasn't getting what she wanted. I called the police on her and they didn't do anything. She ended up abducting the children to a foreign country and I lost half of everything plus I had to pay child support.
/r/MensRights13/08/23 01:43 PM

Apparently you didn't read the article. It does not matter to the state/court. All they know is that this child was born and he's the father. Had it been done by a medical agency or doctor that specializes in artificial insemination, there would have been proof. This is an old case, but it's a case where the people involved were totally ignorant of the laws. The guy was lucky he found a good lawyer.

/r/MensRights13/08/23 01:14 PM

The article represented his side of the story. It doesn't matter really how he went about donating his sperm to the woman. And signing away your parental rights to a child does not exonerate/protect you from having to pay child support. It just means you have no protected physical custody arrangements and have no legal say in the child's life.

It's possible to maybe create a simple 'cocktail napkin' contract and then have it notarized by a public notary. But these days public notaries are skittish about notarizing anything that is this serious or could get them subpoenaed in a nasty court case. And even if you found one, it doesn't mean that the court/judge would adhere to the contract. The reason that Family Law is so bent on child support is because they don't want the child to become a liability to the state/county. And also becaus…

I've heard of the concept before: Of the original witches being strong, sexual women who were shunned by a patriarchal society. Young girls and women who are even bullied (or feel bullied) by their own tend to cling to such notions. (see astrology, goth, etc.)

I can posit a reason myself: The domestication and control of men by an industrial/consumerist society, coupled with the rise of feminism.

This is why I don't like mixing men's rights issues with dating strats and stats. Hetero men should be masculine. Masculinity is an acceptance that we are providers, protectors, and safety nets for women and children. It is an acceptance that we don't mind being the primary breadwinners and the holder of assets as long as we're respected and as long as the situation is fair. My view of men's rights is to protect and foster masculinity, and show that it is something to be lauded and protected by …

8 out of every 10 suicides in the US are boys/men. Let that sink in. First of all, yes...men in particular need lots of time in solitude. But secondly, Miyamoto Musashi was not the honorable samurai that people tend to make him out to be. Me and my brother were molested by our older half sisters. Happened in the 70s. We were 'forced to penetrate'. And yeah, it's ridiculous that they separate out that category in the NIH article, away from 'rape'. It's like they don't want to recognize that when a male is forced or coerced to penetrate a female, that is RAPE. Feminists and woke liberals cannot even conceive or believe in such a thing as 'men's rights'. They already see ALL men's rights advocates/activists as radical toxic masculinity and 'manosphere' adherents. But yes I agree. Don't let the hate turn you into a black pilled incel.

When I was around 16 years old, I found a women's romance novel. I was curious what the content was like so I read some it. Wow! What vivid written scenes of explicit sex! Lol Even rape fantasy. I was shocked. I had always assumed that the content was just poetic Victorian romance type stuff, especially given the artwork of the book covers. Our school bus driver was an attractive young woman, and she always had a 'romance novel' to read when she had down time. Lol I was like “Gee now I know why”…

I don't see us disagreeing so much as I see you just adding some perspective. There will be a market for sex bots, AI companions, etc. I don't think there's any stopping that. But we as a society need to at least entertain the idea of somewhat radical social and legal experiments. Or else our species will be doomed in a relatively short amount of time due to huge birth declines. One of these radical legal/social experiments might be to make marriage very difficult to enter into, but then also ma…

The only part I'd argue against is you said women are 'socialized' to be caregivers and supporters. Not really. Most women have an innate biological/evolutionary nature to be feminine and nurturing. Social norms and pressures can change that a little, but usually the innate nature still comes through in some way. It's the same for most men who have an innate nature to be masculine protectors and warriors.

It turned out to be a hive of liberals and feminists who had banned or run off any red pill advocates. But basically this was their go to argument: Men want to do these things because it's in their (toxic) masculine nature. When I presented the data that men represent 80% of the suicides in the US they were like “so? They chose to do that”. Like WHA…

People generally find a way to do what they want to do despite society's approval. Even though my gut reaction to a future where people are forming relationships with AI and NPCs is slight disgust, I totally understand it. And it's not like it's something really new. People have been getting emotionally attached to many forms of media, even books. In the 80s I had an emotional attachment to the Lord of the Rings books and characters, like they were my friends, and I would literally cry at the en…

Idk. I guess I don't have a lot of sympathy for either a man or a woman who sleeps around a lot. I remember the first time I heard the term 'slut shaming', and thought wow so this is actually a thing now where we sympathize with women who dress like sluts? There's actually been a lot of talk and studies recently about the plight of men, especially younger men. But correlation is not causation, and most of these studies end up blaming porn, video games, and the 'manosphere' for the existential crisis of men. They conveniently leave out statistics that might lead to blaming liberal institutions, liberal media, the woke liberal movement, radical feminism, and the LGBT agenda. This reeks of Big Sports and the corruption/shenanigans it creates. Big Sports makes billions of dollars off of the competitive nature of men without letting most of those dollars filter down to the men themselves, especially in the case of college sports. Just another way in which men and boys are exploited.

The Slate article is very telling. Slate is EXTREMELY liberal and has toed the line on feminism, LGBTQIA+, and MeToo. I'm betting that the gun was just a tie-in that the writer/director didn't think too deeply about. If they retrieved the headless Predator’s body and the gun was nearby, they wouldn’t have taken it probably because it didn’t seem to be the weapon that killed him. I've been in this situation before. The police will watch over any person wanting to leave the house, but they won't stay there long enough to move everything out. When two people are cohabiting, the police at least in my state will not charge or arrest for property damage. They don't know whose stuff is whose and they don't care. So be careful of her destroying your stuff because then your only recourse is small claims court which is often more of a hassle than it's worth. I would do like the o…

You're right about Jack in Fight Club. He's an anal retentive insurance adjuster nerdy type guy. He apparently has a mental breakdown due to stress of his job and life (and probably not getting any pussy) and unknowingly develops a split personality called Tyler who fulfills all of the things he isn't. And I also agree with you that sex *should* be a big deal. But that is my personal morals, it's not reality, The reality is that good looking men and women get as much sex as they want, and it's j…

My point is that sex with another human being may be a big deal to *you*, but not to people who get sex anytime they want. People who get sex anytime they want often live empty lives and want something deeper.

At least the movie...yes. It's a dark comedy romantic movie. The end of the plot was always that Jack and Marla get together having resolved all of the conflicts. And Jack, even though he doesn't say it, realizes that he is actually in love with Marla.

How much sex have you had, and what were the circumstances? (please don't answer the question it's rhetorical) It's all very relative. Think about a Chad who gets any woman he wants in the bed, but inside himself he really wants a woman who will not cave so quickly to him, who he can still respect and see as an equal. And that he could really love that woman and be faithful to her in a long term commitment. It's a common trope in romantic movies: The Chad who settles down with a regular girl. Or…

Well, talking strictly about the movie, the Space Monkeys find her because Jack's alter ego Tyler is always thwarting his attempts to keep Marla safe. It might be that Jack, in his subconscious, knows that Marla is going to be safe and he just wants her near to him. The fact that the Space Monkeys find her and bring her to the building to see Jack/Tyler is evidence that she is very real and they acknowledge her existence. I have skimmed over the book, and I know there are some obvious difference…

I was married to a Japanese woman. They are fascinated by American culture, and that makes them more likely to choose an American man that doesn't look like Ryan Gosling. But that was many years ago. Things might have changed. I used to travel to Japan quite often. The women there may seem quiet and demure, but they have the same tendencies in early adulthood that all girls have, including rebelling against their parents' ideas of marriage and what race they should mingle with.

It has been my experience that women only want to know my emotions or feelings so long as it benefits *them* in some way. And women have this uncanny ability to weaponize it against you. They remember everything that was ever said in an argument when I (and probably most men) just let things go and forget. Shit I can't even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. I really have no interest in manipulating people the way women seem to want to do.

It all depends on what you want. I'd advise all young men not to get married until they know what the divorce and child custody/support laws are. I would like to save them that horror if at all possible. Take it from someone who got the sharp end of a broken broomstick shoved up his poop chute. If you want to just have fun and casual sex, or even have one intimate partner...wrap it up or make damn sure you have a strong pull out game. Or have some other form of birth control.

I don't know how you got away with that, but good on you. In my case, as in most divorce cases, if your spouse “lawyer's up” during a divorce and you don't hire a lawyer to defend yourself, you will lose by default and lose all assets and all custody rights and have to pay 100% child support. That's how they handle things in my state and in most states in the US.

Women are still coddled in our society (United States). They are also very much a protected class. I have the same experiences as you, probably more so because I'm 51 years old. Women are in a perpetual state of childhood in certain respects. But so are men in other respects. I could spout tons of statistics like the fact that men get sentenced to 63% more prison time for the exact same crime that a woman does. That's obviously not fair. And it shows that we still handle women with kid gloves.

men who aren't homeless and unemployed are still not going to date or marry these women. That's the only part of any of your statements that I find fundamentally flawed. You're the one who specified 'unemployed and homeless'. That narrows down the number tremendously. Especially women because MOST unemployed AND homeless people are MEN. The only time I remember anything remotely like that happening was in 1992 when George H Bush lost to Bill Clinton because 3rd party candidate Ross Perot drained enough votes from the conservatives to actually affect the vote. And still a Democrat won. The only way a 3rd party can win is if they garner more than 33.33% of the vote. That's never gonna happen seeing as how the Ds and the Rs have sewn things up even tighter. Meanwhile, men's rights stagnate day by day, year by year.

I don't agree that we're just 'talking points' to them. Liberals see us as enemies. Conservatives at the very least see us as potential votes. We (the United States) live in a democratic society run by laws that are voted for. Voting is really the only legal method to affect policy outcomes. There are indirect ways, such as funding men's rights lawyers (if they exist) to fight court cases in our favor. Or lobbying. Both of which are 'voting with dollars'.

I agree. But what irks me is that the easy solution for anyone who wants to make a difference seems to be 'vote Republican'. But that means signing up for everything they believe in, which I don't. The term 'divorce rape' usually pertains to men whose lives are ruined by losing their kids, losing their house, and losing half or more of everything they ever worked hard for. If you know the statistics, you know that divorce is worse for men. In my case, the state allowed my wife to abduct our kids to a foreign country and still get more than half of all assets plus child support. I can't even see my kids and I have to pay child support. From what I learned talking to RPs, there are 'stages' that men go through. Some stages are skipped or not in order. When I finally met my wife, she was a virgin too and we got married. She was the only woman I ever had sex with. Then we went through a horrible divorce 18 years later. Genetics are not my friend. I don't look like Ryan Gosling. All I had was a good job and money. So I wanted to experience exciting sex with good looking wo…

I never envied Bill Gates or Steve Jobs. And I never wished to emulate them. I worked in STEM for a Fortune 500 company and retired early. I had plenty of chances to go into management and I didn't do it. Not because I couldn't but because management is about the bottom line and not about people. I always wanted to work with people on teams, and I was team lead several times. But management would have been too far across that ethical line for me. I never sought power over people. I just wanted t…

Well I have some spoilers for “50 Shades of Grey” that kind of explains things better if you want to hear them. !SPOILERS: The main character Anna is sort of plain Jane virgin. Christian Grey is a very attractive and sexually experienced billionaire BDSM. So already the movie is playing into young female fantasies. He's had tons of sex with model level women and yet he starts to fall in love with plain ole Anna. And Christian finds her so special that he's changing for her and becoming more trad…

If a relationship doesn’t fit the noble idea that people have, they down it For sure. And that's the hypocrisy of it all. It's kind of like a homophobic person shitting on a gay couple because they don't understand how it can work.

You hit the nail on the head. And it's really sad that what it boils down to is that most women's only currency is their vagina. So they want to lock in a marriage where they are legally protected so they don't have to supply sex. I learned the sugar baby route too late but I learned that it was on MY terms. And for her it was HER terms too. Most women I know really hate that because it robs them of that one thing they had to control and manipulate me (and men in general). So they try their best…

You might 'get it' to a certain extent, but what you're not getting is that PurplePillDebate specifically states it's a safe space for open debate and downvoting is not allowed. But that's not what happened. Women there devalued my experiences and downvoted me and took a kneejerk reaction to my 8 year relationship with this woman when they don't even know the entire story. And 8 years is not a 'whirlwind romance'. BTW someone is downvoting your comments and it's not me. Just to let you know.

She told me she loved me, and I told her I loved her. And we were both telling the truth in a way even if it wasn't 'forever'. But what the hell is 'forever' anymore? I was in a relationship with a woman for 18 years and married to her for 15 of those years, and it was true love that turned into mutual HATE eventually. So I question anyone who clucks their tongue and talks about 'love'.
/r/MensRights21/06/22 01:56 PM

Yes. She was a 19 year old college student and I was a 42 year old divorcee. But like I said before...there are women who 'date' men and still expect him to pay her way for things, and they don't 'love' them. So what's the difference? Shit, I worked with a guy who made tons of money and he was talking to us guys one day. He had been married for years and said he and his wife were going to go on a cruise. Then he said hopefully she'll have sex with him as a result. I was thinking shit here's a gu…

Not gonna lie I had to spend a lot of time 'interviewing' sugar babies who fit my criteria for girl next door types. But the ones I chose had low body counts compared to strippers/hookers. The one that lasted 8 years...I had unprotected sex with her for all those years. I trusted her and she trusted me. Never had any problems. My best friend keeps trying to drag me to strip clubs and all I can say is 'eww'.

After my divorce one of the women I 'dated' was a stripper and she was the best kisser I had ever kissed. I swear our kissing was almost as good as sex. It's like we knew automatically what each other's tongues were going to do and we both knew how to do that 'dance'. I dated several women after that and never found a kisser like her again.

Go back to my original comment. When did I even use the word 'relationship'? Also, people 'date' each other all the time when one or both don't really *love* the other. So you can't say that mutual love is what makes a 'relationship'. My first comment was simply responding to the OP's blanket assertion that 'Older guys are not dating younger girls'. Yes well women’s liberation especially in the past 10 years says it’s okay and empowering for a woman to sell their body. She got what she wanted and I got what I wanted. And I ended up getting way more sex and being better satisfied, as well as not spending as much money, as with 18 years with my ex wife. We did all the things that normal couples do. It was a relationship and it was real. And it was on MY terms. Post wall women can be all butt hurt about it but whatever.

Not sure what your point is, but I'll say this: Morality and values were born from evolution. The scientific evolution of homo sapiens included the social evolution of human tribes. Morals and values ensured the success and survival of those tribes. I read research in a major science publication that humans are going to reach negative birth rates around the year 2100 all around the world. Seems to me that laws punishing marriage and birth will be quite enough to make people start to go extinct. Maybe sex robots will speed that up, but it won’t be the main reason we go extinct.

I’m introverted myself but also suffer from extreme low self esteem. So I’ve been in situations where a woman is flirting with me and I either didn’t register it or I blocked it out of my mind. Happened just the other day when I was ordering at a sandwich shop the cute girl server said no I couldn’t have anything and I was like what why? She then smiled. The fact that I could not truly have 50% custody of the children because they were abducted to an Asian country with me here in the United States didn't matter to them. They shoehorned …

Men are expected to be strong and independent, so there's really no use in us patting ourselves on the backs. I would just like more respect for being a provider and protector from society in general. As far as what women say about themselves, I don't mind a truly strong and independent woman. It doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when they play both sides of the fence when it suits them. Even then, I won't hate them, but I will call out their hypocrisy. You see to me, the problem of lack of …

A lot of feminists won't even listen to the opinion of a man no matter what the situation. Either they think he's automatically a misogynist, or they think he's patronizing women when he praises them. “Women don't need the praise of a man” they will think and act, and sometimes say. It's all rather silly and childish.

Many years ago when I had just graduated from college we were in a recession and jobs were hard to come by. I considered Buddhism or some other kind of monastic order since I studied it so much. But then I lucked into a good job and went the path of consumerism. 😂

I’ve literally heard some feminists online say that all men…ALL men…should be castrated. Granted, I think they are a small fraction of mainstream feminists. But I heard women say that and they don’t get banned. If a man says anything like that he’d get permabanned. I’m against ALL extremists whether they are feminists, MGTOW, MRA, incels, etc. There’s no place for blanket hate. People should be able to have rational discussions based on reality, science, and statistics.

Yes! It's refreshing to meet someone who understands the classical roots of liberalism! I was just wondering about your use of the term 'values', because it could be used to denote a moralistic tone which belongs to conservatism. But 'values' can also be used in a mathematical list/set type way. I personally would probably use the word 'tenets' when talking about liberalism, because liberalism is rather selfish. Why? Because it focuses more on protecting what the individual wants rather than the…

Not sure you can blame one person for that. Especially Hillary Clinton. The woke liberal movement would have happened if Hillary hadn’t even existed. And it’s the toxic woke liberal movement that is causing otherwise progressive young men to flirt with conservatism. I was a somewhat progressive left leaning centrist, and not young. But now I’m seeing social conservatism in a whole new light.

Whether you identify as a liberal or not, you're using the same cheese moving redirection tactic that liberals use anytime someone says something critical about CRT. CRT is not just a 'college class' (please stop spelling it as 'collage'). It has been accepted as fact by elite woke liberal educators, the same liberal educators that write and sell grade school textbooks. Until I saw the examples, I had no idea that they were embedding CRT into *math* textbooks. So okay, if you would prefer that I…

Yes that's the typical woke liberal response: "You don't understand CRT" when no one actually has any standards for CRT instruction. But for sake of simplification it is defined as teaching children about systemic racism and white privilege. And peppering it into MATH PROBLEMS is a dirty trick. If liberals want to teach grade schoolers about race, then do it in Social Studies or a dedicated course subject. Make it an elective course at grades 9-12 (high school). STEM should be non-political. And…

I used to work for a major Fortune 500 corporation, and yes it’s true. Most of the women who were in management were hand picked BECAUSE they were women. They were incompetent as managers. They were simply window dressing for a woke liberal dream. And the time that they spent on maternity leave because they suddenly decided to have children when they became managers was just wasted time and money. EDIT I guess I should make it clear that what I think this really proves is that corporations don’t…

Critical Race Theory is being taught in elementary classrooms now. It's basically telling young white children that they're inherently racist. It's only a matter of time before a small jump expands that to cover ALL boys/men claiming that sexism and the patriarchy are also baked into being male. But all you have to do is look at popular culture and media to see how men are treated like villains, deadbeat fathers, etc.

Yes, I saw her TED Talk and you could see how nervous she was telling her story to a bunch of woke liberal types. I don't blame her at all for kind of retiring after that. I didn’t mean that it NEVER happens. And women who seek power are generally more masculine in their personality. And yes I’ve had plenty of jobs. But in the corporate world women are generally chosen to be a manager not based on skill or leadership, but to fill a quota for being ‘inclusive’. It’s good optics in a woke liberal world.

There are real baked in temperamental differences in men and women caused by hormones. It’s not all environment and education. Overall, men seek leadership positions and positions that will garner them more money. Women CAN do that, but usually it has a personal or family connotation. It's controversial because women and the talk show industry that caters to them as they sit on their asses at home already know that marriage is a raw deal to men. And it scares the shit out of them that men could possibly catch on to it. The only thing women can offer is sex, seeing as how actual love and support of husbands has gone out the window with hyper feminism. So marriage today is nothing but legalized prostitution that the woman can end at any time and get a nice retirement package fr…

Exactly. And I divide them into friends, good friends, and best friends. Acquaintance is a good word, but it's too long and unwieldy. You obviously don't understand what I'm saying. Read my words again. No one...NO ONE...can feel what another person is feeling as they die. So while technically if someone is holding your hand as you die, you're not alone in the sense that someone else is there, but you're alone in that YOU and only YOU are experiencing the pain and loss of life. You and only you experience the fear. The pain. The inability to breathe. In the end, you face death ALONE.

Even if you have someone holding your hand when you die...you are still facing the death alone. You might not even be able to express how much pain your are in or if you can't breathe. The fear/pain will be just as bad whether alone or not.

I worked with a Millennial who broke up with his gf. Said they both wanted to break up because they were fighting all the time. He was sounding very MGTOW after that when he talked about women and relationships. I was trying to foster his newfound freedom and happiness. He lost weight and started seeming happier. About 6 months later they got back together. Then they moved in together. *sigh*

Comparing MGTOW to flat earthers was an absurd starter. Then he laughs at the prospect of a wife getting pregnant by another man. What an ass. Yes there is a "way around it", but it often involves spending thousands of dollars on a lawyer to get the woman to have a paternity test to prove it isn't the husband's. He simply deflects it by stating that certain simps accepted the children as their own. That doesn't make it alright. That's all of his bullshit I could watch. Turned it off after that.

You might be right. But I was giving him several ideas/options because I don't know the severity of his situation. He has kids, so he needs to be really sure he knows what's at stake if *he* starts the divorce. He's going to have to pay child support, lose half of everything, and possibly even have to pay alimony. So like me in that situation, I was wiling to go to as many counselors as possible (5 in my case) to at least show that I was trying to hold the marriage together. It bought me some ti…

Maybe take on a "little brother" and pay part of his way through college? I guess it depends on how much you want to get law/lawyers involved too. It's actually hard to give away money if it's a lot. Creating a scholarship for a disadvantaged young man (or men) who is otherwise a good chap...that to me would be the best thing. Personally I don't like the idea of leaving money to a church. It's a very broad topic and if you're going to write a book you need to narrow it down. Is your target audience going to be that one guy who happens upon your book? Then the book might be in the "self help" section. Or is it going to be trying to explain MGTOW to anyone who wants to read about it?
