My boyfriend used to watch Mr. Red Pill on YouTube, I was interested in the topic, searched it on Reddit and found the female version

Sometimes when a loved one dies, we stop and remind ourselves of how appreciative we are of the loved ones we still have. I think that’s probably why you reached.

So I live in Canada, so a lot of these things do not apply. We are both high earners with room to grow, so there are no tax benefits if anything it would cause us to pay more taxes. Being common law allows me to make medical decisions for him. We don’t have social security in Canada and I’d probably not qualify for spousal support in the event we break up because of our incomes. — ETA: in the event that he dies and I’m not in his will but we do jointly own property, I’d still get my share of the…

If you choose to disclose and make it legal, the rights are the same in regards to children and spousal support should it end. You’d have to put into writing an agreement for property division should it end & you’d need to be drafted into their will should they die. This post was to create a discussion so I could reflect on my choice. A lot of people have given me insight that I’ve never considered before and I’m really open to the information/criticisms/advice that I’ve received. Before it was …

I really appreciate this post. I don’t think it completely describes him, but maybe I do have a fear of long-term commitment because of what I’ve witnessed. It’s not specific to our relationship because I’ve always thought this way. It’s something I need to really reflect on. I will say, with regards to common law relationships, you can “legally” make them as easy or as hard to leave as you can with a marriage. It just depends on whether you have a prenup in place or not. There was a comment abo…

I was the one to initiate this convo years ago and he agreed and gave me his point of view. So based on that, he shouldn’t be having children with me?

I’m not sure if my wording is off in the post, but it’s been me who has initiated the “no marriage” talk and then he agreed and told me his point of view. For me, common law is not as legally binding because you don’t have to disclose that whereas marriage is recorded. If anything, it sounds like I have an issue with commitment.

Lol “outside at some rock” this is so sweet. I like the sentimental value of what they did & it’s private, shared between them which is what I’d also want. This gives me new ideas. Thank you

They got married in a church or just a ceremony? Because we were thinking of that also
/r/RedPillWomen03/09/20 12:15 AM

That’s what I think marriage is also. An event/date/occasion for other people to celebrate your relationship. But I don’t need that: we’re only children, our family unit is small, and our circle of friends is just as small. Everyone that needs to know that I’m committing my life to him will already know that, and if they need me to get married to prove this commitment then too bad lol By costs/benefits, what do you mean? What other options are there? We would look at our union as a marriage, but…

I’ve never been forced to think of my decision so in-depth. I’ve normally just had to say “I don’t want to get married cuz they all fail anyway” and people just leave me alone lol I don’t want to get married because I think it’s a tradition that no longer applies and/or doesn’t apply to me. I’m not religious and I don’t need a day for others to celebrate the love I have for my partner. I happily do it every day. The tradition started to blend two families together primarily for financial gain an…

But you’re protected with children (child support) even if you’re single. And it’s not even about the commitment, it’s just a tradition to me. If I commit to you 50 years married or 50 years without being married, does that document really matter?
/r/RedPillWomen02/09/20 09:37 PM

Before I met him, I didn’t want to get married because (a) not religious and I thought you had to be married in a church, (b) I thought weddings were a waste of money and didn’t know about courthouse marriages, and (c) all the ones I knew about ended in failure. I think the biggest driving factor for me is that it can fail, and when it does, it’s the most stressful thing to deal with. And then I met him, and he also doesn’t want to get married and I thought it was a match made in heaven because …

In Canada, common law share the same rights as marriage with regards to children and spousal support I believe. But property division after a break up, POA/SDM if someone gets sick, and if they die without a will have different rights which need to be on paper.

We’re in Canada and in our province, it doesn’t come with everything so the agreement would lay out what each person is entitled to should it end. Otherwise you’d just take what you brought with you and go

Thank you so much for this post and for sticking to your guns with your friends. Honestly speaking, I have no aspiration for marriage (yes to children though) because I’ve yet to see a successful one in my environment, but this post has just set a different motivation in my relationship. I use powder foundation, and my routine is as follows: Wash, moisturize and prime. I use a mattifying primer because I have very oily skin. Eyebrows. I use ABH Dipbrow and NYX Eyebrow pencil. I am grateful for choosing a career that affords me to be able to take care of myself financially. I've been dealing with a lot of mental anguish from my family over the last year, and being able to move out alone and take care of myself was a huge step in becoming a better me.

I'm a nurse so I do shift work while my SO basically works on-call in a trade. We live about 20 minutes away from each other driving. I work every other weekend and get 2-3 days off during any given week. I don't see him on the days that I work unless he comes over or pops by my job during my break, and I dedicate (at minimum) one of my days off to myself. At my old job, I used to work 4 shifts straight then have 5 days off with 4 of them spent with him. I find this schedule works much better as…

Your needs are just as important as theirs. You shouldn't feel like you're being clingy or unreasonable; it sounds like he puts you down when you try to address your concerns

If your bf isn't respecting your needs and at least attempting to compromise than he is not respecting you as a partner A lot of people don't seem to understand how important this is. You shouldn't have to downplay your needs in order to be with someone

for a long time I've suspected I have mild autism Not at all helpful advice here, but I used to feel this way too. I felt different from others, could not seem to form bonds, and sometimes missed a lot of social cues. Although I am thankfully not autistic, there was some childhood trauma that I had to deal with which was affecting me in ways that I didn't recognize prior

I was on a combo pill from 16-22ish and I really enjoyed it, but I enjoyed my feminine SO much more after getting off the pill. I didn’t realize what I was missing. It’s true what all these comments say: - my sex drive increased (or normalized, depending on how you looked at it) - I felt brighter, more radiant, more sexual whilst ovulating - I enjoy going through the cycles every week - my PMS symptoms drastically decreased

I actually just had this discussion with my boyfriend and my line of thinking was situation #2. Situation #1 looks appealing in the beginning to women whose personality traits I’d deem unattractive. Situation #2 is a more wholesome situation and is probably more ideal to a lot more women. I find men think that situation #1 is the better situation, but I don’t think they realize how emotional women are.

He will state his issue. I’m quiet and reserved. If I don’t give it enough attention, he will stew by himself until I say/do something, but if I take too long he feels like I don’t care about his feelings and won’t want to discuss it anymore.

I’ve heard about this technique a lot, oddly enough, on TV shows/movies where a character goes to therapy. In theory it seems to work very, but in practice — well it takes a lot of practice. I find that sometimes (or a lot) I listen to respond instead of to understand. Your response has reminded me that I need to be more understanding. Two ears, one mouth

This really resonates with me. I see that my actions have been very damaging, but I always fall back into the same toxic behaviour, and it truly is toxic even if it seems as innocent as being quiet. Thank you for your advice

This is such great advice. I’ll use this next time I clam up Edit: I would like to add that, in no way, am I trying to be manipulative or give him the cold shoulder. It would be super beneficial to explain why I’m being so quiet and to say what’s on my mind instead of trying to be “safe” and keep it to myself.

My red flag is/was communicating my needs. People take advantage of my kindness because I don’t speak up and stand my ground. It was brought to my attention by my current partner. I use is/was because although I’m actively working on it, it is still a problem for me. Up to last night, it led to a disagreement between us.

I really tried to encourage one guy to step more into an alpha role, he tried but ultimately was unsuccessful. We broke up and tried again once more, but fundamentally we were just different. Values, mindset and his beta nature made me unattractive to him.

From your post and your replies to the comments, it seems that you understand that you are rushing things quite a bit and do need to slow things down. You're both very young and have not really explored life yet. It would not be a good idea to give him a deadline because truthfully, this can push him away and you may lose him because he is just not ready.

My boyfriend (32M) and I (25F) have been together for three years. His personality is that of an alpha male: assertive, responsible and trustworthy. He is able to communicate his wants/needs clearly and respectfully, and he makes no excuses for who he is. He is a leader in every sense of the term. In the past, I have dated betas who were passive, made a lot of excuses for their shortcomings, and were no Captains in my eyes. During these experiences, I felt forced to take on an Alpha personality …

I agree with all the women who've commented thus far. She's not a good friend to you when she's cut you off for months because someone liked you more than her, and if she can't be happy for your blessing (when it happens). As far as what you should do: tell her and see how she responds. If she isn't happy for you, that's her own problem to deal with. Dwell in your happiness for as long as possible. She will come around, and if she doesn't then she isn't your friend. You've also told someone else…

I feel red pill comes naturally to me especially in a relationship with a dominant man. I do believe I’ve had to further cultivate RP theory as I’ve learned more about it since I did not know it existed prior to a few weeks ago. I find that being in a submissive role in my relationship with my partner happens subconsciously. In my previous, short-lived relationship with a beta male, I did find that I took on a more dominant role because I didn’t trust him to be my Captain — to lead me. With an a…

I definitely find it gets better overtime. You definitely want to avoid going around the week of your period as your vagina is super sensitive, and even I would shed a tear. It also doesn’t hurt to try different places to find a really good waxer who has the expertise to make it less painful. A lot of people say sugar waxing is better than hard/soft wax but I think they all hurt the same. Definitely wouldn’t go to an Asian nail salon to get a wax though — I only let them do my eyebrows.
/r/RedPillWomen05/06/20 05:06 AM

Nair and Veet last probably less time than shaving and can result in ingrowns as well. Waxing hurts, but everyone’s pain tolerance is different. My first wax was not nearly as painful as other women made it seem, and I’ve since been getting them for years. My best friend, however, you could hear screaming from down the hall.

One of my goals for June is to become a more active participant in conversations. I have received criticism from SO and friends that I’m “dull”, “lacklustre”, my tone of voice is “dismissive” or seems “disinterested”, etc. It hurts to hear these things about myself. Any advice on how I can improve? TIA.
/r/RedPillWomen04/06/20 03:12 AM

My goals for the month of June: Stick to my diet which includes CICO (1200-1400 calories a day) and IF (eating time: 12-8pm). I slacked off in the last two weeks of May and stopped seeing results. I started at 138lbs in April. My long-term goal is to weigh 120lbs. My goal of June is to hit 125lbs. I currently weigh 127.2lbs and have been “stuck” there for a few weeks.
