Well, elementary school was prolly the worst it ever was. But maybe girls just prefer the company of other girls. I don't know, I was always the only girl on boy's birthdays growing up, I don't think the elementary aged boys generally "needed" to have girl's in their friendgroups either, they had fun on their own groups. There was always couple odd ones hanging around with the opposite gender groups.

There is a stereotype that girls get along great with gay guys, let it be the truth or not. The reason for women's behaviour change around men is not influenced by Disney movies, but by the fact that there are many men out there who take a basic smile as an invitation to slide into your DM's, unfortunately. Often it can be exhausting trying to be friends with men. I notice this change in me around men I'm not that familiar with, and I have been around a lot of men having male typical hobbies and…

Women would settle for the men they are already settling with, it is not that complicated. "Telling them that only men who already have women are worth it is the worst way to go about it" Telling people your life would be easier and better if XYZ happened, especially when XYZ will most likely never happen to them is cruel. Just look at the men around you with good relationships with women. Become like them, or don't. But don't place your bets on women who'll come dig you out of your home, you'll…

Ofcourse not, but if you have to eorry about pregnancy, you'd be more picky when approaching a potential partner. I think women would continue to be with the men they already are with, do you considere average men to be part of this group? The group who is not succesful now, will not be succesful even if women were approaching, because they'd get left out anyways.

Who knows exactly, look back at our history. Maybe!

Doubtful we'd go extinct, without all the cultural restrinctions we have and say, clothes for example, sex could also be a very spontaneous action. In modern world the population will decline, but this also happens to mice, for example, when their population density rises too high. Makes sense right? And would women share top tier men like a harem? From what I remember from my evolutionary biology courses is that with how taxing pregnancy is, it is more likely for a couple to stick together for …

It depends if you considere ejaculation and 9 months of pregnancy and raising the potential child as the same. Women will always be pickier, which is literally the reason why our species has evolved the way it is and the reason this dynamic came up. You don't have to be picky if you can have infinite amount of offspring, this should be very simple.

Wouldn't the result be the same if women had the burden of making the relationship happen? No, because that wouldn't change the sexual selection that is tied to our biology. Women would continue to ask men out, but they would continue to ask the men out that are already being asked out. What would change this dynamic is if men were the ones getting pregnant, there would be no reason for women to be as picky then, but this is a guess. And although I have been single for the past 6 years, I will n…

Men who approach now have traits in them that most likely make them attractive, they would continue to be so in a different society. A person being 15% attracted to you to the point they are not asking you out, would most likely not do that regardless society's expectations. I doubt even you approach every woman you have found pretty. And like I said, dating apps, full of people with zero luck. Unsuccesful people will remain so, and that is my reality.

Oh well, there is no way for us to agree. All I'm going to say even dating apps are packed with these people, where matching is made relatively simple. I'd not feed people the thought that they'd be more succesful, happy etc. if only XYZ happened, when it comes to anything in life. I considere your view as saying "Our BMI would be lower if we weren't sold shitty food". People whose BMI is low don't need a change in food selection in order to have low BMI, you know?

And if there is no one?
/r/MensRights24/01/25 12:44 PM

But then again what is the likelyhood of anyone approaching a person they are interested in, especially in public? Say you'd only approach 10% of women you find attractive. The average taxi dude would need a pool of women to be approached even once.
/r/MensRights24/01/25 12:37 PM
1

But you are not grasping the point that even these normal guys and the taxi driver are struggling, not because girls are too shy, but because genuinely, there is no one interested in them. Surely, some will get approached, like you did, but majority of them, no. Just imagine the amount of men women skip on dating apps.

One single person trying would make you a volcel, no? I don't know wether you were asking for a moon. But the archetype of an incel, out of shape man covered in cheeto dust, addicted to video games, jobless, low education, no social skills, no friends, no community, no help, no ways to improve himself is asking for a moon. And they will not benefit from women approaching, because they will not get approached. You say you would have not been alone for six years if you were a woman. Surely, becaus…

I'd say it is a statistical fact. Would you want to be the exception? There is a portion of men who haven't left their homes in the past month. No one is going to get them. A huge portion of men, especially men who identify as incels (which was the original group I was talking about, not you. Please don't make this about you) are simply invisible to women, also to the entire society. I am very happy you got yo experience this positive event. But you are not an incel. You are a man who has been a…

Chill on me. Like I said, in my experience all of the men were already succesful. From what I have learned, this world is for people who are confident, know how to socialize, are extroverted, know how to ask for help, are focused, ambitious, determined, good looking, smart etc. No matter what changes you make in society, people without these qualitites will always, always get stomped on. See, even the girls in your example. If you are prone to the opposite qualities, in the end only you can help…

I considere myself a good example of this. I used to ask the rare men I found interesting for a date, I'm not shy like that. None of them so far have made it past the second date. Wether it was them approaching me, or me approaching them, the outcome would have been the same. It is not like every man has these 5 secret admirers who are just too shy to approach them. If you aren't being approached now, most likely you would not be approached if the roles were reversed. All of the men I dated had …

Standards for partners stay the same, no matter who approaches in my experience. So, would these men make it past the first date anyways? Maybe it would take the weight of approaching from them, but then what? Women do introduce themselves to men, the men who will make it past the first date. Aka the "top men" who meet their standards, as these subs like to frame it.

I'm sorry but your first point about how Neantherdals lived is so outdated and based on bible rather than reality. Also, to imply strict monogamy as a human trait? Even sexual dimorphism is often a direct sign of polygamy. Bigger and stronger males get to mate, in order to mate you'd have to overthrow the last guy who mated, so you'd have to be even more adapted than him. -> Males grow bigger than females. Species that are monogamous rarely have a bigger size difference between genders, imagine …

What makes you say that? I haven't read enough information to realistically criticize it, so what do I know. I just provided you the information you asked for, it is up to you what you do with it, if you want to debate the points, you'd have to first read the study and other studies of the topic to form unbiased opinion. Don't make this about my beliefs, I'm just an internet stranger. Honestly, if you are this curoious about the study and want to criticize it, why don't you start by reading it? …

I wasn't trying to refute your point about there being male dominated and female dominated fields. But I'd still stay we depend on coal miners and doctors, not men or women. It is like saying we depend on people who are 5'9 cause majority of pilots are 5'9 (prolly not). I also find most crucial jobs to be about evenly distributed between genders, tbh. That is all.
/r/MensRights02/01/25 10:24 PM

Surely, but that is like saying we are dependent on women cause majority of teachers and healthcare workers are women, when in reality we are just dependent on teachers and healthcare workers. But I understand your point aswell

We all depend on those jobs as a society, no industrial farming without transportation etc.

Wether you justify it or don't, I still understand their perspective. I believe majority of people have avoided some stranger or a group of strangers because they were concerning for whatever reason. What are you even trying to explain to me at this point? There is nothing you can say to not make me understand their pov, or OP's pov. Do I have to add here that I also symphatize with the men who said they are afraid to hold doors for women? Since they are doing the same as these girls, I do see t…

No I don't see an issue grabbing a friend with you if you are concerned for your own safety. Completely different story had they for example attacked OP's husband or called the cops on him. I said I completely understand OP's point too, it is not a nice thing to hear when you know the person in question was completely chill. But go on, dear internet stranger, we have a different definition of a failure. You are not a failure for not understanding my point of view.
/r/MensRights31/12/24 02:53 PM

That is such an interesting response especially when I completely understand their AND OP's perspective. I'm not a failure when I admit I don't have enough knowledge to judge their behavior, I don't know the reason they reacted the way they did. I don't have the experiences they possibly do.
/r/MensRights31/12/24 02:16 PM

I don't have the power to say when someone should or should not be concerned for their own safety. I have avoided some people in concern of my own safety and I will respect someone else's decision to do so, especially when they are causing no major harm by behaving this way. You can think the way you do, but I doubt you would be angry if your own daughter managed to avoid SA by behaving the way these girls did in this situation (going out as a group).
/r/MensRights31/12/24 02:05 PM

Well yes, that is why I'd hope she also understands their side.

I doubt that there was anything constructive to say, cause in the end they did nothing wrong. They were paranoid for sure, but maybe they did not know it was your husband and that he had no bad intentions. If you yourself have been SA'd before, maybe you understand also their perspective. Like many are saying in the comments they are afraid to open doors for women so they don't get falsely accused, these girls were also afraid to be around your husband alone, surely they also had their reasons.
