You do realize that's exactly what he did, except he threw away theoretically hundreds of years worth of man hours spent on a specific topic, right? Also, he never recognized the fact that alcohol has little to no social stigma and is readily available for legal purchase so even if we were to take his anecdotal evidence into account it simply wouldn't be applicable in this discussion. Oh, and don't think I forgot about that last bit "trust me bro" you don't need to trust me, there is tons and to…

Perhaps a bad word choice, given the info available I'd say "can you tell when a girl is mentally feeling you out" is probably more accurate.

He took note of her body language and facial expressions, there isn’t anything subconscious about it.

This skill, picking up on body language and other cues is very much real and you can get very accurate at it. Not sure how you don’t know this because most people can do it on some level.

You read the post wrong, she broke up with bf number one, had a fling and broke it off then went to OP. In that order.

Someone who is trained in jj might not know that the guy who is picking on them is trained in, krav maga as an example. So unless they've already initiated a full on fight, it's better to use your head instead of your fists.

There are more functioning alcoholics than functioning heroin users, see how stats work? Here's another stat for you, 20% of all violent felonies involve drugs. As far as drug war kool aid goes, keep pushing your personal attacks, I'm sure they mean anything in the context of this conversation /s

Can you not read? Do you know what the word comparison means? Are you aware of what a hypothetical situation is? Damn, I have a hard time believing you're a lawyer if you can't even understand the nuances of one little paragraph. Even when I over-explain exactly what I'm saying, you can't even understand. But I'll try one more time: IF: All drugs were used equally - THEN: Alcohol abuse would be the least of anybody's problems. This isn't about the amount of people that use alcohol, but rather ab…

Alcohol poisoning is more of an issue than aggression and alcohol. I'm not sure if that statistics are still accurate, but if memory serves, more people die from alcohol poisoning per year than alcohol related violence/criminal activity. Regardless, the fact remains that out of all the drugs out there, alcohol in comparison, is fairly harmless. That's not to say that it shouldn't be regulated, but that is to say that there is a reason why certain drugs are highly regulated and it isn't just beca…

Studies conducted as part of drug war paranoia. Regardless its a fact that alcohol is the drug most often associated with violence. Except the studies, at least the ones I've seen, are often times done on animals, even spiders as an example that many have seen. To throw away all evidence by saying it's a "war on drugs" is just stupid. You also downright refuse to read: I'm not saying that alcohol isn't a problem, I'm saying it isn't as bad as other drugs if all drugs were unregulated. Just becau…

First, anecdotal evidence just doesn't hold up. Second, it's still a numbers game. How many people drink alcohol? Also, we know what the effects of cocaine and lsd are. Why don't you take a look at even one of the studies before you decide that alcohol has a much higher chance of making people violent instead of it simply being the amount of people drinking alcohol. The fact that you only had 3 new violent alcohol related charges is surprising to me, July 4th and all that could be you're in a sm…

I would argue that some drugs should remain highly regulated (not 100% criminalized). Some drugs increase the chance for violence dramatically. If steps were taken to insure that everyone's (other then the drug taker of course) safety was intact, go for it.

That’s not any real information. But regardless, the result will probably be the same. Tell her exactly what you expect out of the relationship, tell her what your boundaries are and tell her sometimes you have important things to do. Have a discussion and decide for yourself whether the relationship is worth it or not.

Why are you pissing each other off? And to what extent? Also, why do you put up with it. I’m in an ltr and in 5 years I’ve never let that fly.

Take away affection, see how she responds. Should give you enough information to tell you what to do. Different responses will mean different things and to be honest, it'd be impossible to tell you exactly what each response means without knowing everything there is to know about her so your going to have to rely on your own experiences with her.

A restraining order can't prevent someone from attending school, it can only make them try to stay away from you to the best of their ability without getting in the way of their class, job, etc. If you are standing in their way to class, they can get close to you as long as they attempt to go around you.

That would be her decision sure, but the expectation that he should change is a toxic one. Sure, conversation should be had, but the idea that he is an emotional abuser for simply being direct about his opinions is toxic.

I'd say turn this around and say that it'd be emotional abuse if he wasn't allowed to share his feelings. That argument goes both ways. The fact remains that she was aware of these qualities before she was in this situation.

I miss taking someone down to the ground (in a sparring match, lol). Chances are I wont be heading back anytime soon. I enjoy it here. But on the off chance I do I'll probably send you a message to see if you can recommend a good place to learn Krav Maga. Right after I spend a couple weeks relearning some of my old moves that is.

I’ve only had the one krav maga lesson and that was more of a trial class so I can’t really say to much, but in BJJ I did learn how to handle groups different ways depending on the “layout” of the group. We went up to three aggressors in five different layouts. It may be time for me to revisit Krav Maga. Though I’m living in China at the moment so it might not be possible. It’s all Chinese martial arts here. And boxing. They love boxing here. Kick boxing is getting big at the moment too.

Krav maga, you mean the one that literally tells you to do as much damage as possible in order to walk away safely? Learning it will definitely help but the moment he actually uses it, in school, there’s a huge chance he’d be expelled and maybe even thrown in prison depending on where they live and whether or not they decide to charge him as an adult. For me personally, it was more about the fact that you wont put yourself in real debt by going to a trade school. The fact that you can take those skills and make a real living off of it by being self-employed is just the cherry on top.

Not all psychological manipulation is gaslighting and not all forms of psychological manipulation are negative. If you take trp seriously you're going to learn how to manipulate people around you the way you want, instead of just letting it happen naturally.
/r/askTRP23/05/18 03:15 PM

That's not gaslighting. Gaslighting is when you attempt to distort the memory or perception of someone else. Simply lying wouldn't be gaslighting. Changing the time on your phone so that you think your spending more time together, as an example, might be considered gaslighting. Though if your girlfriend went out of her way to make you feel guilty for thinking she was cheating, that's definitely a form of gaslighting, just not an effective form.

Like others have said, this isn’t a soft next, it’s a tactic called “dread” and takes some real know-how to pull off. When you reinitiate contact explain your boundaries and be very clear. Make the text seem like a miscommunication. Past that it’s a roll of the dice.

I’ve been in china ten years as well. The first thing I would do is secure any finances, find a lawyer who specializes in foreigner cases and start documenting everything. You’re wrong about the courts siding with natives a lot of the time by the way, in fact a lot of times it’s the exact opposite in civil cases. Business and criminal not so much.

Yes, I’m a teacher, my girlfriend is Chinese. As far as retiring early, one of my plans is to open up an American style novelty/magic/puzzle/joke shop in China so retiring won’t be for a long while. Recognize that's probably because of one of two things. Either it's cultural (religion, parents, etc) or it's just anxiety in which case it's self induced and you need to really examine the situation. Losing your virginity means absolutely nothing. Keeping it is the same.
/r/askTRP04/04/18 06:09 AM

That's not how logic works, you should be asking "If I lose my virginity, and a length of time goes by, how would it effect me?" the answer is it wont but I'm interested in how you think it would. You can't prove nothing wont happen, but you can disprove something will happen.

A very good question. There are three main things at play here, one of which you've already covered (women don't really know what they want). The second would be that mothers have a tendency to think their sons will grow up to be perfect. If your talking about anything that is effectively a social construct, all of it and none of it will be bullshit. What matters is what you take away. Take trp for example, there are so many ideas in trp that there are contradictions left and right. If you took even one idea from trp and brought it to its logical conclusion you'd end up nowhere. It's taking the idea and applying it to your goals, your ideals and your current situation.

Disney relationships don't exist, it isn't all fun and games, dancing and playing. There are ups and downs in any relationship and recognizing that is an important step in finding a good relationship for you. As far as attraction goes, it's very hard for a guy to find someone who isn't attractive if they are genuinely smiling and are happy. So, with that in mind the only real piece of advice I can give you is stop worrying about guys and focus on your own happiness for awhile, outside of relatio…

I know this wont be very helpful for everybody, but stubborness. I "emulated" stubborness to get over my laziness and it worked. Over time I didn't need to emulate it, it just came. Basically, fake it 'till you make it, with a twist. It's how I quit smoking, how I started waking up earlier, going to the gym, reading books, etc. It doesn't come on its own, you'll never feel like doing it. You have to force yourself to start sometime, so force yourself to do it now.

If you let your step father effect you like that he wins. Wear a dress, enjoy the dress, revel in that dress. Bar game is weird and changes depending on who your gaming. Here in china (where little to no game is necessary) even the lowliest drunk can get laid with flattery, drinking capabilities and knowledge of bar games. Best I can tell you is, don't go for the chicks, go for fun. Show off a few bar skills, be it bar magic, puzzles or other. If that's what you'd like to learn, go look up scam school on YouTube. Great material if you learn to make it your own.

Don't find time, make time. If that means waking up earlier so be it. I wake up at five in the morning, exercise, work, cook, eat, clean, practice a new skill and finally sleep. Every day I work. My off days I work with my hands. Building pretty much anything I can get away with building. Most recent project is a pinball machine. Total cost will probably be around $100 and I'll probably be able to sell it for $200.

have multiple, clear goals. In other words.... figure out what you want. The only reason I can do a daily three hours at the gym is because I have a goal. That goal is to be in good enough shape to climb a nearby mountain. I see it as a challenge, something to overcome. Without that goal I'd probably be in the same boat as you. My first goal related to trp was to be able to workout three hours straight without collapsing, every day. Now it's still a little hard, but I can actually do it. But tha…

Monk mode is always good, just make sure you make a goal and keep to it. Once you reach that goal, assess yourself. As far as replacing fiction, don't. Simply supplement it with nonfiction. Also, it's always good to read about something you enjoy, since you enjoy the guitar, could always read books related to busking and other ways of using this skill.

Masturbation and porn are actually healthy in appropriate doses. It's excessiveness that'll get you. As far as sex and testosterone go, have sex three times a day for the next week and see how long it takes you to get hard. Then, do nothing but lift for the next week and see how long it takes you to get hard. I guarantee the first week you'll be spending some time and the second week you'll go from 0 to 60 in a split second. Testosterone levels are dependent on many factors and a blanket term li…

This hasn't been true for a decade or so. While many organizations use to fire for tattoos, at most they'll ask you to cover it up. May even get a compliment or two. Tattoos aren't bad, if there's some real meaning and thought behind them. I met a girl who had a rose tattoo and when I asked about it she said it was for her deceased mother. My claim is that an adoptive parent, same-sex couples and single parents can raise children just as well as 2 biological parents can and that there is no evidence to support the claim that any situation is better. It's not about affording it, it's about being expected to pay for a woman. If he wanted that he could go out and find a hooker.

You say "Helping keep the apartment tidy" this suggests that you do too. Why then should she pay 1/3 instead of 1/2? She want's an outdated concept like chivalry? Sure, long as she stays in the kitchen. She want's women's rights and equality? Sure, but she can't have it both ways. Sure, if she's the only one doing housework I MAY accept that situation. There are tons of 10/10s in the world so don't let this one push you around.

A quick look through 420's submitted will tell you why 420 thinks thats a good idea.

Lol, guess that's one way to do it.

Well before you do so it'd be a good idea to ask yourself why and spend some time saying "This is what I want to do: 1. whatever 2. whatever" so when that time comes (And it most likely will) your prepared.

There's no way to avoid it. Just remind yourself that this isn't really about fucking as many women as you can, but rather it's about improving yourself. Mind and body.

Rip it off like a band aid and stick to the truth. Men tend to feel great for a couple days, then a pang of regret followed by some philosophical breakthrough. Women are devastated for a couple days then suddenly it's sunshine and rainbows. No matter what you do/say she's going to, at the very least, act hurt. Take the time you need. If you want to keep her hoping you can add in a line about "Look, I love you but..." though I wouldn't recommend it because it gives you an out.

Who gives a shit? I've recently gained a good 20 pounds and it's all on my stomach. Only time I keep my shirt on is when it's a quickie outside. On another note, if your self conscious about it your just giving the chick ammo. Just say fuck it, before they get the idea to use it against you.

I keep the mindset that I learn a lot more from my fuck ups then my successes. It helps that I haven't been flat-out rejected since I was.... .... .... ... 15? That's about right. Sure I got a few see-me-laters (never did, it's always on my terms) but ever since that almighty burn when I was 15, not one flat out rejection.

Ignore her, don't let her come monday. Wait period applies to exes too. If she begs to come over lay down the law "You finished with that no-fucking bullshit?" Right to the point. If she pulls the same shit while at the house, again, lay down the law "You can leave now" On another note: It's easy enough to find a new play-thing, why get with your ex?

I'd say fuck it I am a superficial asshole and demand that she fixes it.

I keep the "eh, whatever" mindset. I had this particular problem back when I was a teenager but about the time I hit 20 I calmed down quite a bit. I don't get worked up at all. Hell, last time I got into a "physical altercation" I kept my cool the entire time. My buddy who saw it has been calling me Jackie Chan ever since.

Testosterone actually comes in spurts and "saving" it as you say, will actually lower your overall testosterone. Having a healthy outlet can make your testosterone levels rise and your cortisol levels drop. Cortisol, if you didn't know, is responsible for the flight part of the fight or flight instinct.

Doctors actually say that masturbation is incredibly healthy. Before you listen to your father talking about "harmful effects" or me saying that it's healthy, I suggest you actually talk to a doctor about the physical effects of masturbation. As far as psychology goes it depends. But 3 or 4 times a week is, psychologically speaking, perfectly normal. Well, it is a little low. Porn itself is only harmful if your not discreet about it. I made the mistake of leaving up an image after I masturbated …

I disagree with most. Situation totally retrievable. But, why would you? There's more women out there. If I wanted to continue the relationship I'd say something like "I am attracted to you, but if you don't want me screw it. I can go find someone else, goodbye" in a text or something. I'm not going to spend my time to tell her face to face if she's not going to go for it.

Depends on the situation but generally I turn to movies. Without Robin Williams I would be a completely different person. When he committed suicide I got depressed for a couple days but his family's (most notably his daughter's) messages to the public helped me out a lot. And one of his movies, What dreams may come. A movie where he dies, helped me get over his death. A good example was when I was freaking out because of a passport issue. Watched one of the movies out of the dune series. The mom…

Side note here: If you have gotten enough practice in with juggling, I highly recommend practicing with broken beer bottles. It's a hit with the chicks but you'll probably need to build some trust with the employees/owner first. If you do, be careful, that point where the bottle spins is off for each bottle because it's impossible to break 2 bottles the exact same way. I like to use the magician setup when I'm in a new area and this is one of the ways I shutdown other magicians. That and a few o…

To be honest n china the chicks are generally 1-3 or a 9-10 there isn't much between that. But, you make a fair point in saying that I should probably challenge myself. Could try for more threesomes but the 4 times I've had them they didn't exactly hold up to my expectations. Anyways, I've rambled enough. Will look for a worthwhile challenge.

"Here we have Red Pill Discussion for personalized questions about specific situations, people, scenarios." Which basically means that it's about everyone but you... how to handle a situation, why someone thinks/does something and what you should do in a certain social situation. Your logic is flawed. By the way, look up what the word complacent means.

Let me give you some context. I'm white. In China. That by itself is enough. Understanding the cultural and social dynamics here just makes it that much easier.

Rejection? What's that? But in all seriousness, the times I did get rejected usually ended up with me getting their number anyways. I usually say something along the lines of "Well, I'm out of here. Thanks for wasting my time" stand up, glance at my watch then scope the place out looking for my next target. About 7 times out of 10 they stopped me, said something along the lines of "Well if it means that much...." and proceeded to give me their number. As far as social circles are concerned I usu…
