I live in Israel and I had to serve 3 years in the army because I’m a male. Females must serve only 2 years, but, if they choose to be a fighter they have to serve just like males. The point is, our government is slowly taking steps to make male’s and female’s service equal. Males now serve 2 years and 8 months instead of 3 years and females will soon start to serve 2 years and 4 months, and hopefully someday both of us will serve 2 years and a half.
