The fact that only women are allowed to have exclusive groups is kind of infuriating. We've all seen it time and time again, any time men try to make a space just for them the feminists will brigade and hissyfit and harass until they gain entrance.

I actually don't mind each sex having sex-exclusive groups because I think there is benefit and some level of comfort to be had in occasionally being surrounded only by the same sex. For example, say a bunch of guys make a D&D group. They get to be as goofy and crass as they please. Great time, right? But then if you add a girl now every guy feels like he has to act some kind of way around her, whether it's to tone down his sex jokes or try to impress her or whatever. It ruins the group dynamic of a bunch of guys just having guy time.

That said, the man's got breast cancer. There's certainly not a male-only breast cancer group, so where's his support if you don't let him in?

I think the real problem here is that doctor. Of course these groups are wrong in this case, but the ‘doctor part’ really made me upset.
