I over trained once when I first started lifting a couple years ago. It was a horrible feeling, no gains, no strength. Read online and found I was over training. Started resting more and eating more and problem solved. Now that my diet/rest is dialed I train every day, Strength/Jujitsu, or cardio/strength, or cardio/jujitsu. The only time you should be resting a lot is when you first start out to let your body get acclimated.
