I don't think it is about "caring" about one's "opinion", per se, it's more about having your kid hear the comments, having some scumbag call police/CPS, etc. A personal opinion is just that...personal. When it is expressed in a vile manner in front of you and your kids then it becomes (in my opinion anyway) harassment.

I agree that it should not "stop" someone from spending time with their kids but many times it makes people feel a bit paranoid. I would not let it stop me, but I know that I would not let something like that go without me confronting the person...which could lead to ME getting arrested. Life is hard enough for some of us to have to fight every ignorant jackass out there.

You would think differently if you had police called and they detained you and had people "questioning" your kids in another room while people stood around taking pictures and videos of you while being questioned.
