I've just made it a point to go out and try new things, plays, and musicals( I just saw Rocky Horror Picture show for the first time) and join meet-up groups and look for things to do. I recently tried a board game group and taking a trip with a friend to a convention in Texas. I've grown immeasurably from having a platonic friend that's a woman over the past 6 years. I've learned a lot about myself and her and navigating disagreements, awkward situations, and conflicts. As well as learning communication skills and how to express my emotions and honestly it's helped me become a better person.
