Hi Friend. I want to offer the best advice I can. Stop looking at your husband as someone who “Doesn’t want to get a job.” You sound like you are both young and you’ve said that he in University. This is an exciting time. Please review any of my post history regarding the book Fascinating Womanhood. I especially recommend chapters 3, 4, and 5. In order to give the best support to your husband you need to accept him, admire him, and appreciate him. This might be difficult right now because you ar…

I am not usually one to go with my gut but I do think that sometimes you know. That’s a tough one. Because I really want to offer sound advice to the women here who have zero or low n-count. But I “thought” I knew many times. But it was a painful process. But when I really knew…it was different. But that’s an emotional explanation. I can’t give advice here: I have a high n-count. And maybe, just maybe, it's as important to decide that you ARE going to be with someone than that they are the "righ…

I am so happy to hear your thoughts. And I think we should do AMA here. Thank you for sharing some of the more private details of your sex life. I haven’t felt “bold enough” to write theory about vetting men. But I share a similar story to “just knowing” and I also relate to being impressed by the sex where “it could have been a problem” if he was a bad guy. I’m coming up on my 10 year anniversary. I’m proud, and it’s totally worth it. Again, thank you for your thoughts, and MODS: let’s do AMA’s…

Aww! Thanks for inspiring me to reread it. I love how it showed what men REALLY VALUE about a woman’s attitude. The wife was so beautiful, singing and playing with flowers. The husband had legitimate, humiliating fears about his role as a provider, when “the misfortune” befell them. I don’t mean the following comments as a way to minimize or simplify unhealthy relationships: But I have faith that the husband maintained his motivation to delight his wife, instead of falling into addiction or abus…

I was actually responding to your thread on my regular username. These strategies don’t fix abuse. You have to be starting from a healthy relationship. The “Things we shouldn’t try to change” section of this post does not cover the behaviors you are experiencing in your relationship. In some ways, you have to leave room to accept non-masculine behavior when he’s relaxing at home. In other ways, feminine behavior and creating a warm space for him at home should minimize these behaviors. These fas…

I just wanted to add that it bothered me so much that Vronsky kicked his horse. He knew that she was probably injured to the point of having to be put down. The horse broke her back and needed to be shot, but Vronsky had no where else to have a temper tantrum. I thought that was quite an awful detail. The horse race was very tense. I could just see Ann’s losing the color in her face and all the tension and releases of her emotions.

I love your take on this. And sorry about Oblonsky. I’ll keep him in mind for next time. Levin immediately gave me blue pill vibes. But I’m looking at him through a different lens and pointing out the foreshadowing of his true red pill potential. As far as giving Kitty grace…well… Kitty is in many of us. Especially the unmarried RPW trying to vet…trying to find a commitment. She’s pure, pleasant, inoffensive, attractive, high society, kind, friendly. There’s really nothing WRONG with her. As som…

Yes, I don’t think Kitty’s mother is exactly wrong for meddling in this arrangement. It’s just that an older woman evaluating a charming young man might be —dare I say— more emotional than Kitty’s father doing the evaluation. Her mother wasn’t meaning to be cruel…she just made an error in judgement and there were consequences.

Most novels, tv, movies, plays, etc…have an element of “tragedy” to them. So… the answer isn’t “no” but it’s not always the happy stories that are compelling.

I’d like to respond to this post constructively, so first I’ll take notes and then I will reply. Takeaway: - women tend to focus and dwell on their education and profession when on a date. They place too much emphasis and confidence in these things, and expect those accomplishments to be the main reason a man decides to pursue them. I agree with this. So I think conversational skills can help you out here. When I feel silence or awkwardness, I fill the time by talking about myself. A solution co…

Everyone says the same advice to younger women…you don’t know who you are!! But man when I was 16 I really thought I did know. But I was wrong. It’s an ego thing, and unfortunately no text or book is gonna tell you how to avoid that thought pattern. I dropped out of school. I got a GED. I swore I would go to college early to make up for it…but I didn’t. I got married when I was 18 and it was a fucking disaster. So, I don’t have the common Red Pill Wife path, and in fact I’m not married, but I wi…

Hi!! So first off, you are over thinking things but I am still going to try to help you. But I love books, so I’m going to recommend a lot of books. I don’t mind that you are getting a GED, or want to be a homemaker. Some people are really judgemental about these topics but you need to have thicker skin. You should continue to educate yourself and follow hobbies, and I don’t mind what you choose, but you do need to be an interesting and educated person. So…for example, I’m very interested in bir…

RE: Should Daughters Be Trained for Careers? I have a lot of objections to this part of the book. I have conflicted feelings because I am not a parent and I don't pretend to know the complexities of raising any children, or trying to bestow Red Pill values on them. I think that a lot of the cultural influences on children and young people today are hard to ignore, but it would take some special finesse to relay the message that you should Plan on being dependent. RE: My Thoughts on the Whole Chapter, Motherhood, and Feminine Careers I want to end this Chapter stating that I disagree with most of this advice. I believe that it is aspirational, but I don't know if it is reasonable, or could be considered as a universal truth. I think this is something you have to explore within yourself as you move through life. We all hope that we know ourselves well, but sometimes that takes a deep look within to determine our inner values, our true intentions. One of th…

Oh u/HappilyMrs I would love to discuss more books with you. We should have our own private book club! We should read Anna Karenina together. I discuss it sometimes in my posts. So the 1st season is very similar to the book BUT the book is only from OfFred’s perspective. There is no outside hope. It’s only in her head. The plot lines are the same, going to Jezebel’s, seeing Moira, interacting with Aunt Lydia, falling in love with Nick, but Serena used to tease her with cigarettes. And at one poi…

I think there are so many nuances to the topic of abuse. So I’ll be clear: No manner or magnitude of femininity, patience, kindness, or submission will change an abusive man. And it’s a hard place to be in, to identify as submissive, and yearn for a man to give and give to...without finding yourself with the wrong man. That’s why it breaks my heart to hear women on this subreddit lament about...”well, I’m 22, and I’ve already been with 4 men! My n-count is too high! Should I just buckle down and…

There are chapters later on being childlike and expressing delight. I don’t consider myself to purr...lol. But I say “Mmm” when he hugs me when I come home, smell a nice perfume. Or “Aww” when I see something cute. Or “ohh!” When he suggests a new recipe he wants to try or place he wants to visit. I think this is about really small expressions, instead of just being harsh and going, “damn, that looks cool!!”

There’s another Chapter of this book that addresses this. It talks about how men go out to work and provide. They use their intellect, assertiveness, brilliance, and passion at work... And then they come home and we just see them watching baseball and forgetting their socks on the floor. It asks women to remember that they might only see their husband in his relaxed, or might I even say “lazy” mode, but we shouldn’t forget everything that goes on behind the scenes. I agree with TRP that seeing m…

Question: do you have to get braces? I know that culturally braces can be a sign of wealth, but Invisalign’s is a lot nicer. Can you change courses on this? I got veneers and it was expensive but soo worth it. If you consider the cost as financial, comfort, and aesthetic...it might be a more palatable option? Subs that I would recommend: the glow up, vindicta, curly hair, and also if you are not white many of those subs have other subs for more focused content. This may be controversial: but why…

I have really large breasts...so using the sub “A bra that fits” is important to at least be starting with the right size. I love silky robes. Even if I’m wearing more casual cotton pjs underneath...the silk robe adds to the look. I like to wear stay up thigh high stockings. My trick for these is to buy a larger size. When you are looking at the size chart and you think you are gonna fit into a size based on height and weight...get the next size up. Even if you are slim... having the stocking sq…

Yes I agree. I think if you REALLY want to be a SAHM where you are being provided for...then you need to be introverted and focused enough to completely make him and then your kids #1. Are the beginning Chapters about this Angelic vs Human topic? All I can say is that Chapters 19-22 (I think) really dig into the topic and description of feminine qualities. So maybe it's just out of order. And if the books are really very different, I'm sure it's not a bad thing...maybe you can do some write ups if the differences are interesting :)

I didn’t know that. It’s interesting. I’m sure the author of FW is biased about things. I think if you did look into it you’ll find criticisms about her. It doesn’t make everything she wrote right or wrong. I didn’t mean to bully Sophia and I didn’t do any due diligence in researching her...but I think it’s plain that no one wants their marriage to END like that. Through death or divorce. I think it’s sad when old married couples grump at each other. Both partners need to practice acceptance. Bu…

I disagree that RPW wants you to be perfect for a man. FW might be pushing that idea. RPW is more of a theory and a strategy. Not all men want the same thing in a partner. Intelligence and creativity are valued. I don’t live up to every ideal in this book, and my partner certainly wouldn’t want me to. It’s just about exploring femininity from a more old fashioned view, something that we might not have been exposed to in modern culture.
/r/RedPillWomen12/04/21 05:14 PM

It might be...and this one might be too. You will find that some of the advice is weird, or unimaginable. Or you might think that finally someone is speaking your language. I put a lot of thought into these summaries. I talked about myself, referenced old and new movies, books, and cultural icons. I even disagreed with some of it. I don’t “live” every part of this book. But it is an important reference material on this sub and I treated it with respect. Hope you enjoy!

Someone mentioned last time...there’s a chapter about sex in the updated one that seems to be missing from the 1965 one. My opinion is that my write ups were really thorough. I went page by page to summarize and pull quotes. If this version is $30...which it appeared to be when I clicked my old Amazon link...then buy a vintage one just for the novelty of it.

FW: Ch26: Asking For Things Please review my recent summary of asking for things in a “Childlike Way” You can’t be the chill girlfriend who doesn’t need much and gets along well, if you have actual expectations. That’s kind of called a covert contract in the RP world and it leads to miscommunication and disappointment. You need to communicate: I want to celebrate monthly anniversaries. I like food more than flowers. I expect to spend Thanksgiving with my family. My sibling and I have the same bi…

I hate to be rude, your post history is long and vague. Are you the young lady that was mistress to the emotionally abusive married man? Either way, this traumatic past relationship does seems to be haunting you. Do you have hobbies, passions, educational goals or something else to distract you from constantly reliving this relationship? Therapy really would be a more efficient use of your time. You still have the opportunity to be lucky in love someday, you just have to love yourself first. I a…

I don’t understand how you could add a sentence at the end that says “We have shared values.” You don’t. You’ve done a lot of growing since you’ve met him, but it seems to have come from you. Has he been a leader in any aspect of your life? The reason I ask is because if he is not leading, then you will resent following someone that’s going no where. It sounds like a really tough personal situation with your mom being sick, and you leaving work to care for her. But that’s no excuse to prolong th…

I am certain that I am childfree. It doesn’t mean I dislike children. Luckily my brother and his wife are having children and satisfying my parents want for grandchildren. I plan to take my role as an Aunt VERY SERIOUSLY. I’m saving for his education, I’m planning to travel with my nephew, watch him while his parents have brief getaways. It's true that you shouldn't trust and submit to a man who hasn't earned it. But in order to attract a man that could be worth it, you have to lighten up. I wonder if you could date a few people for the purpose of defining what you want in a partnership. Don't sleep around, learn about yourself, and try to have fun. Spend time dressing feminine, and see if getting dressed up helps with your energy. When you are looking for a partner, seek someone out whom you respect. Not someone you feel the …

Are you child free yourself? Or do you have children? I am child free. I like children, but it's not for me. Did/would you consider the age of the child to be a factor, and to what extent? When I met my boyfriend she was 13. I was evil when I was that age, and I didn't know how serious of a relationship we were going to have. I did not end up meeting her for 4 years. It’s been a really long time since I’ve had issues with anger within a relationship, so I can see that I didn’t spend as much time on it as might have been useful for others. A long time ago I read, “Boundaries in Relationships” by Dr. Cloud and Dr. Townsend. There’s a lot of religious themes in that book (though not more than this one) I also read a book called, “You Can’t Make Me Angry,” by Paul O. One of th…

The only advice you are going to receive here on RPW is to not go through with it. And possibly to break up. However, if you open yourself up to the world of polygamous relationship and ethical nonmonogamomy my advice would be—well exactly the same. Don’t do it again. Possibly break up. Having a mild attraction to the female form does not make you bisexual or polyamorous. A desire to be submissive and pleasing to your boyfriend does not make you polyamorous. You need to be DEEPLY interested and …

Definitely not an ideal situation. First of all, the position that the book takes is that there are Masculine Roles and Feminine Roles. The Masculine roles are to be The Guide, The Leader, The Protector, and The Provider. They are all tied together. If he is going to Lead, then he should have some authority to do so. I think men and women in modern society start out equally far from the goal post of a “stable, healthy relationship.” Women are entitled, they don’t understand why they are attracted to certain guys, give it up on the first date to others, and suddenly find their libido tanking once they found Billy Beta. They just don’t get it. Men have a different problem. They try to be nice generous, good listener, open wallet, patiently orbiting so that they are “respectful” and then they find out their fat…

I’m a couple chapters ahead of what I’m posting. I think the content of Chapters 3-6 are beginning to address the “First Secret” There’s no backstory about the different characters that are attending the group sessions. Was “Helen” the name of the group leader in that book? Helen is the author here. “Secrets of Fascinating Womanhood” has a male author. There are several “testimonials” at the end of each chapter. The assignments surrounding the First Secret seem similar so far. So maybe a similar…

I disagree. Sometimes the most powerful men like to be dominated in bed. They spend all day managing people, projects, and corporations. It’s a “fantasy” to “role play” being at someone else’s control.

I saw this today in Fascinating Womanhood: “Remember, it is not by push or persuasion that you bring out the best in your husband and impel him to a more successful and righteous life, but by an unwavering belief in his better side”

I think it’s valuable to know the love languages. For me, I value shared experiences. Please don’t buy me flowers. My Captain wants gifts. Now that we communicated those things I appreciate the shared experiences we have even more, and I’m not considering those experiences to be a satisfactory demonstration of our love.

A couple of things came to mind reading your post: 1) You sound wonderful and so does he. I hope you can get through this. 2) I thought it was a little odd that you said you set up study time for him. I also thought it was odd that you said he misses class at a prestigious, technical school. Background: I never did this, but I majored in a science (Nursing) and I was generally smart and was at the top of my class in (pre college) school. College science is tough. Missing just one organic chem la…

I had thought they were the same too, so I’m excited to read the original. I relate a lot to what you said about naive love and growing away from it. I never thought I’d feel so deeply affectionate for anyone after being hurt a few times. I thought something similar when I read the introduction. I think my relationship is wonderful, but if it could be even better, then bring it on!

Fellow sarcastic/aggressive person here. First, when you meet the right one, you will be interested in keeping him. You’ll weigh the cost/benefit analysis of keeping him around. You don’t need to change your personality, you’ll just realize what’s really a priority. For me my love of yoga pants vs love of my Captain, well it was no contest. Second, don’t change. Be sarcastic, be aggressive, Just take that hat off when you get home. I’m plenty smart and stubborn, but with my Captain, I’m gentle, …

Hello all, there's not much of a discussion question in this chapter, however next week's chapter is much longer. And much more in depth. I'm still giving some the opportunity to purchase the book and begin reading along with us. But I appreciate all the interest we've gotten so far. I hope everyone is having a Happy Holiday. Next post will be in the New Year!

Typical day for me is a day off. 6:30 Wake up, coffee, sunscreen. My SO wakes up anytime between 5-8 and is his own boss so no deadline for being at the office. 7:15 Stretch 7:30 Run 3-10 miles (depends on how close I am to a race day) 9:30 Shower 10:00 Let my hair air dry. Wear a dress. Go grocery shopping 12:30 Mealprep 4-6 salads, eat one of them. 14:00 Coffee or nap (no longer than 45 minutes) 15:00 Any other errands that need doing. Straighten my hair, makeup 17:00 Start making dinner. 18:0…

I think that’s a really interesting idea and I will do some research into choosing a book. I am NOT someone who struggles with being very hormonal so maybe someone else would be better suited to lead that.

It sounds like a lot of votes for Surrendered Wife. If you want to vote for a different book, please reply to this comment. EDIT: I would much rather do FW, so that’s the plan unless someone changes my mind.

Well, to be honest, I didn't "expect" it. It just developed over many years.

Men can be both monogamous and polygamous in a healthy way. Women can only be monogamous, no matter what she told you she feels like, you should expect her to only be yours. That’s cuckoldry. A woman will resent you for allowing her to do it even if she wants to do it. This answer really bothers me, but in some ways I think you are on to something. This might be the tough pill that I have to swallow. Being polyamorous and agreeing with TRP are often at odds with each other, but the longer I've…

I’ve had threesomes with boyfriend. Three actually. I’ve had threesomes in the past as well, so it wasn’t a major bridge for me to cross. I’m not saying that you “owe” your current partner every sexual act you’ve done with someone else. I’ve heard RP men say not to wife someone who does threesomes. But I’ve also heard them complain about women who’ve done threesomes in the past but won’t do it now. My advice is to carefully consider the consequences of being sexual in that way, but if it’s somet…

I’m definitely on the left! I came to the red pill left, sexually progressive, jaded with my current relationships. It struck me how true it was! Why BP behavior repulsed me. Why RP behavior attracted me. Why I thought no man was good enough for me. I would not be where I am today without: help from my parents, help from previous BP boyfriends, help from government grants, help from financial aid, and help (in the form of inspiration) from my current RP boyfriend. Now that I’m financially stable…
