I think you ought to do some research on victims mentality in these kinds of relationships. One of the biggest problems facing abused men is a lot of them don't even know they're being abused. Women are more fortunate as there is a plethora of depictions of DV in media, and abusive behavior towards women is more codified and has more discourse around it.

I think you're right. All of my friends who cheer at high levels explain that their coaches have them do stunts that they are not nearly practiced enough in to execute it safely. And like all sports, the bar seems be getting raised higher as time goes on so it has become an increasingly desperate game for marginal wins. Perhaps some safety regulations would help. These women may never be able to cheer again if they get injured, and that's a shame. Play safe.

Look at the BBC, they didn't raise women's pay to "equal it", they lowered men's pays instead.
