Maybe not relevant to the post 100% but completely relevant to my life right now. Thanks!

Well if you learn from it then it's okay. If you let it crush your spirit it's not cool. Just remember next time when you wonder if you should go for it how bad it feels to not go for it.

Kind of. If friend was lying then the end result is that much better.

I'm on my phone so can't check the side bar. What -is- LMR? I thought I knew all the abbreviations but that one eludes me.

I love breaking the fourth wall and find it works well to help escalate pretty quickly but then you have to leave it behind and move on to being fun in another different-but-awesome way. This fr is fantastic, please share more.

"Whatever I want, usually." With a smirk, of course. Edit: Hmm. Takes on new, unintended context with OP's username.

I got this from a webcomic, actually and do the same thing. I miss homeonthestrange.com terribly.

I wasn't raised not to talk about money but over time found that people who do so in a public way are almost always either looking to play some kind of one-upmanship game or gain praise from the group. I realized how cheap it felt and I tend to quickly curb those questions when aimed at me, politely but firmly. One-on-one is a different situation, usually.

Twice. Worked both times. Never again will I try it!

Before I discovered Seddit I had good natural game with bad escalation. My buddies were your random AFCs, talking about what they would do to that girl over there but never introducing themselves or whatever. That stopped after they learned that I would get the girl over one way or another and use this intro (including the walk-away). They ALWAYS had a good conversation, and even got dates once or twice but after would swear at me and tell me to "never pull that shit again." I told them I'd stop…

I'm a reader myself so I tend not to approach a reader unless I find myself quite attracted. That being said, once you obviously distanced yourself I would step back, happy to have your number and let you go back to the reading you're enjoying. I'd probably pull out my own book at that point and not want to be interrupted. I think many guys would probably continue the conversation because they don't"get"it, so I can understand that, but the constant suggestions of dates seems more than just a li…

I can and have done the same thing with sales people though. "oh?" "yup. Bye!" Edit: don't get me wrong though, as I do think this is a great response. "Oh?" is usually a great line though not perfect.

Oh, dude, okay. Didn't realize you short-handed it. You do realize the key was under your pillow case the entire time, right? The anvil and hammer, while hilarious, was unnecessary.

That's much less exciting than the story I made up for you in my head. In my head you went out to a bar and woke up the next morning, one arm handcuffed to the bed and the other arm handcuffed to a stripper who, after some wacky hijinks ensue, it turns out you've married! It wouldn't have been too bad but in the same night, blitzed out of your mind, you somehow convinced the girl of your dreams to go out on a date, and you only have ten minutes to prepare, and you're still hooked to the stripper…

I love how wide-spread brunch has become. It's everywhere now, and places seem to go out of their way to make them awesome. Favorite place for brunch was in Delaware, this little saloon called Klondike Kate's. Great food with a fantastic bloody mary bar that had more hot sauces than I've ever seen in one place.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. I like op's original response but this alternative is good too.

Random thoughts: Bars are not my scene but coffee shops are fantastic spots for me. Day game is definitely more my style. I need to work on escalation. I can open with anyone, anytime, but going anywhere beyond that is where I fail. Biggest thing: I can't always be available, even if I actually am. Best thing to do is to actually BE busy but every now and then I might have to be "unavailable" just so the girl doesn't think I'm there for her every beck and call - only realized this week how many …

Very inspiring and rather awesome. I'm happy for you that you realized you can change just by focusing and working on it. I think the "kiss-less virgin" bit is bound to change rather soon!

Central New York represent! I'm from Sherrill, originally. ...I've never used "represent" before. It felt awkward and I never will again.

"Had anyone ever told you you talk a lot when you're nervous? It's okay though; you have a beautiful voice." While she's figuring out how to respond get back in control of the conversation.

When I'm in a social situation around folks I'd like to hadn't out with again I usually just say to the group "so I'm thinking of doing something like this again. Give me your numbers and I'll make sure you know when that'll be."

Was so scared to click that link. For all others who feel the same: totally sfw and just what it says. Perfect example, too.
