I would check out the r/loseit sub it has everything you could need to know, i recently lost 25 pounds following what I learned there! and is a lot of fun to browse through :)

he actually knew on the very first date, I was upfront that i had a friend with benefits and told him I would end that so we could be monogamous. he actually seemed completely fine with it until just recently when we moved in together

I have talked to him about it when he is sober and he doesn't like it, doesn't understand it but says he can overlook it because he wants to be with me. And after last night he said he will stop drinking so he doesn't say hurtful things to me like he did. So I will see if it keeps being an issue he brings up or not :/

I see where you are coming from but he did not have to "work for" it more than the fwb, we actually had sex our first date and then he asked me to be his girlfriend afterwards. He says it is different because of the intention - that he wanted a monogamous relationship with me and knew I was looking to be in a real relationship too. And that its not OK that I had sex with the fwb while knowing we would not end up in a monogamous relationship?

thank you! I think the burrito thing was a different issue on my part - they are microwave burritos, because I can't cook!! so he wanted to cook a breakfast instead that I did not know how to make....I will have to work on that too :) I used to be a girl who was 'proud she couldn't cook' since it seemed feminist in some weird way haha!
