Hey, I agree with you, and I appreciate what you're saying and I just wanted to actually say that because I felt like an upvote wasn't enough. It always makes me happy to see someone talking some sense in the midst of stuff like this.

Exactly! I'm glad to see somebody not part of the echo chamber here actually debating and discussing these points. Good on you, man.

Idk why you got downvoted when I got upvoted, maybe I should've marked with /s. I agree with you, I initially had hope when I saw this subreddit that it would focus on things like child custody and false rape claims, but almost everything I've seen here, and every comment section is just complaining about let versions of problems women have too. It's saddening because the few things that are unfair towards men begin to look like jokes because they're surrounded by jokes.

Maybe the same argument that always seems to apply to women complaining about the wage gap applies here; they should go into STEM to make good money

The important thing here is the difference between gender and sex. Sex is the biological part and it should be taught, maybe with a footnote saying some people are trans. Gender is a lot more about the social aspects of masculinity and femininity, and I don't think it should be taught in school or otherwise pushed down anybody's throat or used to help someone play the victim. But I also don't think that it does or should matter to anyone else. Even if there are "only two genders" as people are p…

I don't know how they came up with that statistic and I don't really believe it, but there is a problem with colleges covering things up so their college isn't a ssociated with rape I also believe this isn't a huge problem, most people are going to support and do what they can to help victims, but it was a larger problem and it's a continued fight. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2016/apr/27/oral-sex-rape-ruling-tulsa-oklahoma-alcohol-consent?0p19G=c By Balance point I didn't mean a quota I …

I agree, I think the heads of these groups are the majority of the problem, especially because they push the people in the groups in the wrong direction Rape culture isn't saying all men are rapists or women can't rape (although many individuals unfortunately will claim this) it's just about rape not getting enough attention, and especially in college getting swept under the rug or blaming the victim for what they're wearing or how much they drank. In Oklahoma our (female) governor just passed a…

One group (or several, others seem to have had similar problems) being shitty and making a bad choice like this doesn't account for "modern feminism" As far as I know, that isn't an actual movement because I don't think the goal of feminism has changed much over time, just attempting for equality. The best term I've heard for these kinds of sexist self-proclaimed "feminists" is non intersectional feminism because they care only about one group being treated unfairly. Although occasionally such a…
