Most gyms will offer some sort of trainer or programs, sometimes with free trials. Also most people are gyms are very friendly and open to discussing techniques, especially with newcomers. Additionally, most lifts aren't super hard to figure out how to do it without hurting yourself. If you are new I'd suggest doing lifts with some lighter weight dumbbells. Seriously, the amount of different muscle groups you can work with them is quite vast.

A similar thing happened to me recently. Me and this girl would go on dates and have fun and be physical with each other and shit. And then all of a sudden she said she just wanted to be friends. No? I'm only 21 so maybe I'm not looking at this right but if you told me by the time I'm 25 I won't be able to make any new friends or lady friends I'd be pretty depressed for what lies ahead of me.

It doesn't take long to learn how to play a few chords. Most songs only they use 6 different chords, so it's pretty easy to fake.
