1	I just wanted to thank the guy who posted the handshake trick. It worked well for me I believe the proper reply would be "Thank you for relieving me of my nose, Sir." You laugh, but I'm actually going to do this. If combined with the aforementioned explanation about male-female greetings, then maybe segue into a conversation about gender roles and whatnot, I think it could work well. It just seems like a very masculine greeting, but unless we're gonna revert back to bowing & courtesying or having men exclaiming Enchante! while kissing women's hands, it's all we really have. It seems like we really should have come up with a better male-female greeting by now. I've seen too many instances of guys like that going apeshit if they're confronted with someone questioning their motives in front of the girl and seemingly "revealing" that he's not just being helpful.
