I feel you there. I'm praying for the same thing while trying to be realistic at the same time. We all have our faults and I'm hoping this separation helps us fix those faults.

Sorry bro, that sucks terribly. That's definitely your sign to move on and find someone better.

I've heard mixed reviews from counseling. It didn't work for me either. I was willing to change things, but she was mostly stuck in her ways. I know some couples that has helped them. Like everyone else, it sounds like you might need to rip the band-aid off and get out. It's not going to do your kids much good watching their parents have a toxic relationship. Stay strong, brother!

Have you tried couples counseling?

Thanks, definitely going to read that. Say what you want about him, but listening to Andrew Tate also has been a big help.

From her perspective: 1. We weren't able to emotionally connect even though we tried. 2. I wasn't her "rock." When she got mad or upset, I would often get mad back. There was also a portion of our relationship where I wasn't the best husband when she was going through a rough patch with a job. 3. Our sex life went essentially dead, the last year. She got bored with me I think (she had several other partners before me and she was my first). 4. We kind of "spiraled" at the end. Fights were very co…

I wish it was sooner so I could just move on with my life. This whole process is making me more of a libertarian. If we agree on everything, why does the government need to be so involved with our personal relationships?

Maybe it's a sign of what our exes were/are up to!

Bro, you and I are in very similar situations. I am 27 and have been married 3 years and have pretty much lived together since August 2017. My STBXW sat me down the Sunday after Thanksgiving and told me she wanted a divorce. We've tried counseling and our relationship has been rocky pretty much ever since we've gotten married. I tried to hang on to things as best I could the last year or so, but deep down I know she wasn't happy. I wanted to try more counseling but she didn't. Both of us are civ…

Bro, I'm in a very similar situation. I (27M) have been with my STBXW for 5.5 years and married 3, no kids, very few joint assets. This really sucks, especially around Christmas. We've had issues ever since we got married really. We've tried counseling but that only helped some. I was really holding on for a long time for love and hope and I think she was doing the same. She finally sat me down and wanted to end things right after Thanksgiving. I wanted to try more counseling and keep trying but…

So you just paid the loan off out right? She isn't in the financial position to do that and we need a loan for the outstanding balance. I'm just not sure how she can refinance the loan when it's in both of our names

Yeah I took care of the insurance part, I'm just an additional insured on her insurance now.

Can she refinance the loan in her name only when the car is still in my name?

I wish I'd seen this video years ago. This completely describes by STBXW. Did anyone else get consistently called a narcissist by their female narcissist ex-wife?

I'm in a similar situation currently. I moved to VA from PA where I'm from with my soon to be ex-wife. After we separated, I moved back to PA to be with my family and changed my residency. Similar situation, it's uncontested, no kids, biggest assets are our vehicles. From what I read, I just file in VA after 6 months apart since she's still a resident there and that's the last place we lived together.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
