States can't take away from Federal law, but they can add to it. Yes, I agree. But it's when a State isn't adding to, but changing a law that confuses me. However your weed argument is flawed since weed is illegal Federally and some States allow it. Federal law trumps State law when it's more severe (or when a case moves from a State to a Federal court). making the Federal law basically moot Pretty sure 76% of States having one-party consent laws doesn't make the Federal law moot. Also, I've always been under the impression that Federal law trumps State law if pressed hard enough. (e.g. weed & Federal raids).

The limits are places where you have a reasonable expectation of privacy (e.g. anywhere the general public would regularly get naked). Pretty sure hidden cameras in most bathrooms are pretty illegal. Edit: If it's a very obvious camera, not sure if that changes the legality, but you could always throw a towel over it while you pee, etc.

I think it may have just been an oversight of the teacher's. Was the pulling out of fear or play? It said she was running him into poles and such, as children are prone to do while playing. Holding onto your daughter so she doesn't run off is different than detaining a screaming, abducted child. Again, people need to mind their own damn business.
