Girl here. My boyfriend has been shamed a lot for the amount of women he slept with (quite a few). It went so far that other women would walk up to me and say: "I don't know how you manage to be with him. I couldn't do it."or "Aren't you afraid he'll cheat" or even patting my back (!). Our community is very narrow minded. If you enjoy sex with various partners, you're being shamed for it. It doesn't matter if you're a man or a woman. I personally think that sexuality, regardless of gender, is so…

I'm sorry for not clarifying it, I am a woman. No I don't believe that my man's sexlife has anything to do with whether or not he will help me raising hypothetical kids. Or if I want to construct something- sexually fulfilled people are happy people and I'd like my hypothetical kids to have a happy dad.

Monogamy- unlike marriage- is a relatively young concept. Just take a brief look at history to figure out for how long it was perfectly normal for men to have wives as well as concubines and see prostitutes at the same time. With the rise of equality the demand that men should be monogamous as well came up. (I personally find it weird that the door got shut for everyone instead of demanding open doors for everyone but yeah, people really do long for security.) Monogamy has never been and will ne…

That's a great thoughtful comment, thanks.

Love is article. It's what I always say as if it were a mantra: if we want to live in a society where men don't abuse others we should make sure that we protect our boys from violence and create shelters for those we fail to protect.

Huh that last bit is really good advice, thanks. I have to admit that I was a bit bewildered in the situation and not half as witty as I would have liked to be in retrospect. We kissed on our way out, though. I felt like showing which man I belong with. I'm not sure how I feel about giving the man money beforehand. I'm pretty certain that if my bf and I went out and he would seemingly pay for my drinks etc. there would be at least thirty stupid women around being reinforced in their idea that th…

A man does change when there is something he wants to change about himself. Even Farrell wrote about how women want to change their men and how they can (after checking on their motifs.) guess what? The easiest way to wind up with a guy who talks about their feelings / goes on hikes with you / does the dishes as well / younameit. is getting together with a person who already does these things. And not finding a random great man and trying to change him according to your standards. If you don't t…

What sort of mentally fried women do you know who share this s**t? His happiness is less important than hers? Sounds like a fun way to spend your whole life! And thanks very much Dad for telling your own son he's selfish for thinking about his life changing decision to marry someone he might not be happy with. What the actual fuck? It doesn't sound like a marriage between two grown ups but more like she is a mentally ill person that needs constant care and sacrifice and he's a co-addict. If ever…

Misandry and misogyny are both real. I want equality and will speak up for men's rights as well as women's rights if I spot injustice. The men's rights subreddit is a great source for articles regarding various gender related topics and if you're willing to acknowledge that some people's experiences have made them bitter and biased you will have a good time reading them.

I guess the only thing that's upsetting me about it is the way, female ranting is pathologised while male ranting is criminalised. If a woman writes she hates men, she must have a record of bad experiences with men and thus her bitterness and anger can be excused. If a man writes he hates women, he's an asshole. I just wish for equality in a sense that when a bitter/hateful or stupid person writes a bitter/hateful or stupid comment, we should regard it as a personal opinion and not throw stones …

I agree with everything you say. I personally don't believe in monogamous relationships and still I like the idea of having a relationship.Trouble is: to live in an open / a poly relationship you need to trust your significant other. Most men here have made series of incredibly fucked up experiences with women and believe them to fuck them over as soon as they get the chance. "Granting" a woman the opportunity to have sex with other men involves the possibility of her coming across an even "bett…

What do you think about concepts like open relationship/marriage?

Society wants me to think that I deserve love and protection because of my sex and you have to become loveable through your actions. My parents brought me up to believe that everyone has intrinsic value and deserves my respect until they treat me like shit. I live in a mutually respectful relationship with a great man whom I love for who he is. I hate the thought that my boyfriend (or any man) should act accordingly to what this messed up misandric society expects him to do. This doesn't make yo…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
