Whenever the fuck he wants.

I'd change that to when he needs to.

I've visited many places around the world and to this day no sight has made me feel such awe and so small and at one with the universe as that sight. No picture of any kind can do it justice.

Edit: Joe Rogan may be correct but it's part of the same realization.

The death of his mother, or the birth of his first son.

Never in front of a woman you want to continue having sex with, except in very specific circumstances (death of friend, pet, etc.)

No matter how much they'll hamster to the contrary, nothing dries up a woman faster than the sight of a blubbering manchild. Weakness frightens them.

I remember a post somewhere on reddit where a woman confirmed this. She anonymously admitted she looks down on her boyfriend when he would cry. She didn't understand why, and the guys in the thread were livid.

Are you aware that the girl's reaction I am speaking if is involuntary and more subconscious, NOT an intentional chosen decision? It's based on a person's brain and chemical reactions related to sexual attraction.

We, for the most part, can't chose what we are attracted to, it is more about the hard wiring in our brain, and chemicals/hormones in our bodies. So I would not be surprised at ALL if a woman responds chemically in a negative way when she sees a man cry, as if her brain is signalling (very subtly) that he is weak and not a good mating/sperm option.

Nor do I judge her (like the guys in that thread did) because I am more open to the harsh realities of how our lives are dictated largely by neuro and chemical responses we have almost NO control over, aside from drug use and the like.

So, in my comment, reading it again, I can see how I mis-stated what I really wanted to say. "looks down" is probably not the best phrase for me to use. Something along the lines of "she somehow loses some attraction for..."

You can hate it and call it retarded, but if the science shows us that's reality, that's reality I have to accept, like it or not. Maybe there are more studies that show this is NOT true. But TRP hinges a lot of its theory on the science of male/female biological stimuli/responses.

edit: clarity and grammar (I suck at this sometimes-lol)

You may cry a single tear if you are an aboriginal person and you are witnessing the destruction of a forest.

I agree but sometimes we are beyond our power to control a situation. Relationships we can't patch, seemingly hopeless finances, problems we aren't strong enough to deal with yet (eg. Addicition) . We used to have a pack of hunters to bond with but now we are more alone as men than ever. Tears aren't unnatural, they've just always had a place to be shed until now.

I cried when I lost my dad. Mostly when I was alone. Once in public at the funeral when I realized I would never see him again. No regrets.

Once when he finishes where the red fern grows and then again during the scene in Forrest Gump when he asks if his son is smart

That book.

I was roughly ten when I read it. My dad gave it to me "one of my favorites when I was your age."

The only piece of literature to truly hit me right where it hurts.

Any emotional issue as long as you don't overdo it or dwell on it.

Never cry from physical pain.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I covered this before... there are only 3 acceptable times when it's appropriate to cry in front of a woman.

1) When you receive news that someone close to you has died (Parents, Siblings, Best Friend and the like)

2) PAIN! Like if you got shot or stabbed or even kicked in the nuts.

3) When it's a physiological reaction to a stimulus or irritant (ie. chopping onions or dust that causes your eyes to water up).

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

3 I can understand. But 2 is unacceptable. Bottle that shit in and man up.

Anytime he's completely alone with no chance of anyone catching him. Don't believe this modern bullshit about being "vulnerable". No one likes vulnerability except white knights.

Cry in front of your guy friends. I'm serious. That way you never have to do it in front of a woman. If you do do it in front of a woman, realize you have lost major SMV from it. If I cried in front of a girl I would write her off as a prospect or just file her away as just a friend if there was something I really liked about her. Just don't.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Where nobody can see him.

[–]Bobbagwell1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Its okay to cry, yeah when your foot gets stuck in a bear trap.

[–]advice_anaconda1 point 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

It is okay to cry when you realise that you're never gonna get back those two minutes you've just spend reading this ridiculous piece of writing.

Seriously is this what the red pill is about? Congratulating yourself on not crying when you sold your car?

Don't care if I get a million down votes I'll stand by my comment. Every fight you crying like a bitch will be brought up. It's like going to a fist fight and giving her a knife. This bullshit "as long as you're alpha about it" & "fuck her I'll do what I want because I'm outcome independent" is what I hate about this sub. Obviously there's an issue with crying or the question wouldn't have been asked. Even if I was 100% wrong you wouldn't get any problems by following my advice.

[–]TooTurnt 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yea what a crock of shit. This thread is unreal.
