I disagree about 'You don't want any kind of "tension" ', because that would mean you shouldn't disagree with anything a woman says, wouldn't it? Wouldn't that communicate neediness? Wouldn't it communucate that you need them so bad that you put them above you?

Yes, 1000%. Most of my dates came from my women friends. First, married women LOVE to play matchmaker. Just mention it to them and somehow they will pull someone out of the hat to match with you. Some hobbies have more women than men on average, from my experience: Art, Witchy-spiritual new age religion, Books/Writing (depends on genre), Sewing, Gardening Try it out, share your work. Then ask them about advice or teach them something. The most important thing is to form an actual connection, not just a mask. You have to put effort into it
