I agree but this new strain of pseudo-redpillers is the more prevalent nowadays. Like many intellectual movements, its original message has been simplified to the point of becoming a caricature

It's almost as if, 200,000 years ago when humans left Africa, men made a blood pact to establish patriarchal societies and maintain consistent concepts of femininity and masculinity cross-culturally. That seems like the only plausible explanation... Btw I think you’d learn a lot by reading the books I recommended or summaries of them if you don’t have the time. It’s much more than mere personality traits.

They’re not slight and they exist cross-culturally. Social pressure doesn’t have much of an impact either. If you wanna learn more about those differences you can read "The Male Brain" and “The Female Brain” by Dr Louann Brizendine her books are heavily backed by scientific research.

It’s not clear what you mean by lower standards. Lower standards could mean that men are settling for women they don’t find attractive. It could also mean that men have fewer requirements in order to be genuinely attracted to a woman. Also I’m not sure why everyone keeps on saying that men will have sex with anyone who’s willing. Maybe that’s a cultural thing but, at least in my country, men have self-respect and generally don’t do that unless they’re drunk…

There’s many things to say about this. first of all spikes in hormones especially during the first 2-3 months of a person’s life and during puberty do shape the brain circuits and behaviors in meaningful ways (gender identity, sexual orientation, cognitive functions, impulse control, competitiveness, etc…). Secondly exposure to excess testosterone in male and female adults results in an increase in the feelings of dominance and confidence whereas exposure to excess estrogen results in nurturing …

Women and men aren’t interested in the same things because our brains work differently. Women generally show less interest in working long hours or pursuing leadership roles compared to men. Furthermore, men tend to possess personality traits that offer advantages in leadership (assertiveness, competitiveness), while women tend to face challenges due to their personality traits (neuroticism, agreeableness). Which means that for every female applicant to a leadership role you’ll find multiple mal…

North Korea is all bark and no bite. Their army is made up of starving men who have never fought in a war, and their nuclear arsenal is 30 nuclear warheads, most of which wouldn’t even launch if given the order.

The future generations are too small to sustain Korea’s economy and infrastructure. Best case scenario they take in Chinese and South East Asian immigrants en masse to prevent total collapse. However that would change the ethnic makeup of the country and leave it unrecognizable. I’m not to worried about it getting invaded by North Korea

I think it’s fair to say that pushing for more social welfare programs, government intervention and progressive taxation in a mixed economy is socialism but I’m honestly not interested in arguing about it. I’m curious though how do women support capitalism? Is it because they are attracted to high earning men and not to working class men?

Men did not grant rights to women nor did they take them away. Technological advancements enabled women to enter the job market by shifting from labor-intensive to skill-based roles and reducing household chore burdens. Capitalists recognized this potential and actively promoted women's participation in the workforce. If for some reason all technology were to suddenly disappear all over the world people would revert to a patriarchal society structure.

I think women lie about the importance of sexual attraction to not seem shallow, and not because their great-grandma had an arranged marriage; which as far as I’m concerned were pretty rare in the West even a century ago. I'm not disagreeing with you just adding nuance. The attraction gap exists even if you take sex out of the equation. While men are definitely the more competitive gender, women also engage in competitive behaviors such as ostracizing and tarnishing reputations. These tactics help them diminish competition from potential rivals by undermining their perceived attractiveness and status, thereby gaining monopolistic access to desirable men and most importantly their resources

It’s clear that there are external pressures for male actors to appear taller. Short celebrities usually play weak/meek characters (Kevin Hart, Bobby Lee, Devito, Martin Freeman).
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/24 06:50 PM

Maybe I’m misunderstanding but the conversation is about short men. Not men who appear shorter than a tall woman or men who are average height. Height is a sexual dimorphic trait, it’s not surprising that men who are taller are seen as manlier and thus more desirable. I don’t think it’s even enforced by women.

3 years is the average over all generations. The dating patterns have changed, sooo many women 22-27 are with men in their mid 30s and early 40s. A few generations ago there were far fewer unmarried men in their thirties and there was a strong stigma around divorce so 20 year old men were for the most part competing with themselves.

Once again it feels like you're replying to someone else. I said I don't want to make people who don't want to have children have children. I already said that we shouldn't make people who don't want children have children (maybe you're confusing me with someone else). Nor do I think the current pension system will keep existing, it was designed (like our current economic system) under the premise that each generation would be bigger than the one that came before which is unsustainable. /r/PurplePillDebate23/01/24 02:20 PM

I’d argue that by fighting the current trend we’re making the world better. My problem with that scenario is that I think most states won’t survive a sudden demographic decline. So if we all decide to live a hedonistic life, the following generations will have to pick up the pieces. Hopefully I’m wrong and you’re right. If South Korea’s economy survives the next 40 years I’ll be pretty optimistic.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/24 01:28 PM
1

I guess I didn’t express myself clearly. The point of having more children is so our working population doesn’t go through a sudden collapse like what South Korea is going to experience this century. It won’t really affect us tho (at least not until we’re retirees and the state can’t afford our pension). So we’re free to live a hedonistic life and leave the world a worse place than we found it
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/24 08:13 PM

There is no point in having children for the sake of having children. That’s not what I’m arguing for.

The last thing I want is people who don't want children raising the next generation. I think we should encourage people who are having children to have more children with reforms and policies. Also we should warn people that their ideology or culture will die out if it causes low birth rates. That way they have a shot at trying to fix whatever the issue is.

I'm not saying we need conservatism, I'm not even conservative or religious. There are ways we can tweak the economic system to survive demographic collapse feudalism comes to mind but the average person will suffer tremendously. the groups that have fertility rates above replacement rate are religious groups and some conservative groups. Social changes happen for a myriad of reasons. Feminism appeared and spread because it made a lot of sense economically. A nation that has more workers is more productive. Parents get 18 years to pitch their culture or ideology to their children. But once an ideology is mainstream enough parents will stop pitching it to their kids. That’s why new ideologies spread so fast in majority cultural groups. Political leaning is also partly genetic but it’s been a while since I read the studies on it…

You say men’s problems are their own and that women’s problems are caused by men. By that logic don’t you think that by brushing aside men’s problems you’re actually creating more problems for women. Poor people commit the vast majority of the crimes in poor neighborhood. They also commit the majority of crimes in well off neighborhoods. We could try and lower crime in poor neighborhoods and as a consequence the crime rates in well off neighborhoods would follow suit. Or we could just blame then…

The average man doesn’t hold more power than the average woman. The most powerful people have always been men that’s true. But most men were oppressed in the past too. They died in wars and when they survived those wars they toiled away in coal mines, farms and factories until their bodies eventually gave in. My point isn’t that women didn’t have it hard but the idea that the top .1% would use their power to improve the average man’s life is ludicrous.

Feminism comes about and gains a lot of traction as it allows capitalist countries to be more productive. Birth rates in feminist groups are extremely low meaning that feminism needs to convert children from other groups to continue existing. Some of the groups feminism is trying to convert eventually develop immunity to conversion. The others get entirely converted. Modern feminism slowly withers away since it can’t find anyone to convert though I’m optimistic it will come back eventually. The …

The reason I think those groups are going to make up the majority in the future is not because I align with them politically or ideologically. No it’s because communities that are feminist have notoriously low birth rates. Sub-replacement level birth rates. The only way the current feminist ideology can continue to exist is by converting children from other groups. And it’s work…

The problem is our economic system is built on the principle that the economy will keep on growing. With an exponentially shrinking population we’re essentially doomed. Not us obviously it won’t affect our generation but we’re the ones who can fix this problem before it’s too late.

Men put women in one of two categories: Casual relationship and committed relationship. The standards for those two categories are extremely different. For the former men look to put very little effort and receive regular quality sex. Your being a virgin makes you undesirable for men who put you in that category as a) having sex with a virgin is usually a shitty experience and b) generally takes a lot more effort. Sleeping with a promiscuous woman on the other hand takes very little effort.

That whole thing about wanting a virgin is just genetic. Men who prefered less promiscuous women were slightly more likely to have children that were theirs. Compound that slight reproductive advantage over thousands of generations and you end up with a significant proportion of men who prefer virgins. Of course some men me included don't have that preference. On a side note I wouldn't generally trust people's rationalizations for their preferences as they generally don't hold up to scrutiny

The thing about traditional values is that they worked when our society was traditional. 50 years ago it wasn't uncommon for the husband to make twice as much as the wife (if the wife even worked) but that's not realistic nowadays.

I completely disagree. Everyone should carry their own weight especially at the start of a relationship.

Culturally Canada is America. 90% of Canadians live less than 100 miles from the US and the accent is basically the same except for Canadian raising. Most Canadians I know know more about American politics/culture than their own.

I think women give higher ratings to celebrities. Men don't care they just call it like it is. That's why I often see women arguing that unremarkable looking actors such as Jim Halpert or Adrien Brody are really attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/23 12:49 PM

Why should women improve? What would they get from it? More male attention? A below average woman gets more male attention in a month than an average man does in 10 years.

There are more overweight men than overweight women. But there are more obese women than obese men. You could argue that a lot of these overweight men have a significant amount of muscle mass and would have more of a lumberjack physique but I couldn't find any data on it.

Equal in rights but obviously women and men held different positions for biological reasons. And as you know an egalitarian society doesn’t guarantee equality of outcome/status/ressources to those who live in it.

I think there’s a misunderstanding in that you think I’m only referencing physical attractiveness when talking about attractiveness. Obviously that’s only one facet of attractiveness.

Most people don’t realize how recent civilization is. For 99% of human history we lived in tight knit hunter gatherer communities in which men and women were equals.

I don’t think you should hate a group of people just because you had a bad experience with some individuals from that group. You can dislike people who subscribe to an ideology or who have done reprehensible deeds but why hate a group of people?

That’s not what I meant by it. We were talking about attractiveness. A woman’s knowledge doesn’t make her attractive to most guys. And vice versa it’s a plus but being smart won’t land you a date. At least not with the majority of people. I like smart women and women who are in IT but I only care about it (in a romantic setting) if I’m already attracted to her.

I have been in a relationship with 3 women at once wouldn’t recommend but I was pretty horny in my first year of college. That relationship made me much more red pilled. There was a lot of bickering and jealousy and tbh I don’t fully understand why they agreed to it in the first place. My best guess is that they thought that they could have me all for themselves if they waited long enough… Women don’t want polygyny but their behavior would seem to imply the opposite. We’re still the same animals that were roaming the Great Rift Valley hundreds of thousands of years ago. Our environment has evolved but we haven’t. I don’t think women value intellect or education when choosing partners. At least that hasn’t been my personal experience. They only care about it in men they’re already interested in. Kinda like a guy doesn’t care that a woman can talk at great lengths about philosophy if he doesn’t find her physically attractive. Intellect and education or even be…

9 times out of ten it’s because of their looks. There’s nothing more blackpilling than listening to an extremely ugly woman’s life story. While ugly men can work on their charisma, go to the gym and get a high paying job. There’s nothing an ugly woman can do to become more attractive.

Terrible advice. While most men will have difficulty finding a partner if they’re broke that shouldn’t dissuade them from trying. Having a partner during tough times not only helps you get through these tough times but also brings you and your partner closer.

When women say they want to get approached more. They strictly mean getting approached by men who they find attractive. You can go to any predominantly female subreddit and sort for the words approach and approaching and you’ll find droves of posts from women complaining about getting approached.
