Let's be clear here. You did very well. You enticed interest, and you were close. The problem could be that you were aggressive moving forward. If she's only 6, take your time and try to make her to aggressor.

I believe you perhaps could have done better if you didn't direct all your attention towards her that night. Lead the chase but when you have interest, back off a little.
