You could say "I am constantly engaging in self-sabotage when it comes to anything sexual. How do I stop?" That's a pretty solid start for therapy, imo.

You can always just remove the div with the message overlay via browser devtools and read the article as normal. That's what I did.

I got cured of this by chance, actually. Once I've been hanging out at my friends' place and ended up with this girl... We were hanging out and chatting until dawn. And after that I decided "never again". She was capitol C Crazy. The day I learned I had standards. So my advice is keep meeting people until you meet someone completely effing awful.

The 3d point really reminded me of this book: http://www.amazon.com/Improve-Your-Conversations-Techniques-Communication-ebook/dp/B0104PWV3E/ref=tmm_kin_swatch_0?_encoding=UTF8&qid=1441627362&sr=8-2 A lot of practical suggestions and examples on how to get conversation fun, engaging and free-flowing.

Good stuff. Only thing that I'd like to add is that your mileage may vary depending on which country you're from. In my country (Estonia) people - and servers - tend to be less outgoing and chatty. To a point that some folks on tripadvisor consider them rude for behavior that is more or less normal in our culture. Doesn't mean OP's advice is not applicable at all, just that you might be going in on hard mode. And if you feel like you're hitting a brick wall, changing the venue might help.

Huh. Interesting. When I first started going out, I actually did it alone, because I don't have much friends. Never realized that being nervous about that is a normal thing. I kinda assumed it was just me and my social ineptitude.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
