Im doing my best to pour my energy into my child. But, man, these thoughts pervade everything I do! I've been trying to find ways to distract my mind, but nothing is working! Every day I am with my kid and work from home, I take them out to both get out of the house, but to also explore, have fun, and enjoy the outdoors. Can't always be outside though. The more time I spend in this situation, the more I begin to see it exactly this way. I will continue to stay in my home (I live in my basement now), and I will continue as normal for my kid until we finalize everything.

I really appreciated all the advice I received from this. Thank you, gents. It's been miserable for me. Unfortunately, I have to stay in this mess for a while longer to save up in order to retain a lawyer, and then save up even more for wherever I move to next. Living in a nightmare right now, and I effing hate it here.
