1	Because Rape doesn't have to be violent. Black out drunk doesn't occur at a low level of blood alcohol. It starts happening to people once they get to about .2. Which is plenty to stop them from being able to think properly. Before you black out you're likely to start stumbling or having trouble standing, lose your ability to logically reason anything, become disoriented, and be very emotional and possibly belligerent. 1	Because Rape doesn't have to be violent. No, regret doesn't mean rape I agree. But having sex with someone who is so drunk that they have no conscious idea what they are doing is. When you're that drunk you are in a state that any legal contact you sign is invalid because you weren't mentally competent when you signed it. What I was trying to say about stopping it was poorly worded, I'm sorry. What I was intending to say was that the correct path to take is properly educating people about what rape actually is will prevent most rape from occurring, or at least most rape where someone feels like a victim. 1	Because Rape doesn't have to be violent. They could give consent before they get drunk. they could also have an agreement that they can rape each other. You can have consensual nonconsent. Such as rape roleplay in the bedroom, where a couple agrees one will rape the other. It doesn't mean that they need to be prosecuted. Rapists' intoxication is already used against victims. 1	Because Rape doesn't have to be violent. As a country we think that legal contacts don't count if you aren't mentally competent. Large quantities of alcohol make you Mentally incompetent: ex you get drunk and sell your house to me for beer money. So having sex with a blacked out drunk person could be likened to having sex with someone who has the mind of a child say below the iq of 60. I far as what legality would result from it I have no idea. Though id say your coercion would make you the one that gets prosecuted.
