if people think generalizing half the population is acceptable they need to take a step back.

"Setting a friend up with someone you believe to be a sexual predator is an unusual way to treat a friend. It is not something I would do to any friend of mine." yeah that's a good point

I'm left in that I like welfare and free healthcare, environment protection, limiting monopolies, workers rights. I'm progressive, I believe in drug decriminalization and gay marriage.

they are clearly transphobic and sexist. I don't think their words will have any effect on the equality act

Hopefully america doesn't go down the same path as japan. Look at how much they work and how many of them are single, and look at how unhappy and lonely they are.

Well in general in our society is much more progressive then before. Being anti lgbt regardless of being left or right would still be going against the grain.

You do realize this subreddit was literally created to be free of these issues, right? I mean it's called left wing male advocates. These problems plague r/mensrights and that's why we're here. Because we don't agree with the many hateful opinions over there.

They take the women, maybe let them go or rape them, but for men it's always torture, death, or both

Nobody seems to think of a draft like the human rights violation it is. If it's a mass killing it's murder, but sending innocent people to their death in the name of "freedom" is still killing.

Toxic masculinity is real, but no one seems to talk about actual toxic masculinity. Toxic masculinity, (to me, anyways) is shown in things like saying boys don't cry and that men should have to protect women, above themselves. In my opinion toxic masculinity hurts men more than women. In some ways toxic masculinity actually benefits women as they use it as a method of control. Both women and men can use toxic masculinity to shame men into doing things they don't want to do by saying man up.

What about father's pressuring their son about being strong and doing sports? Something in our society is causing alienation of men and boy from being sensitive and showing emotions. Men avoid reporting rape because of the small chance of winning a court argument but also because of stigma caused by other men.

I believe in toxic masculinity. It sounds like a sexist term, but when you think about it there's a lot more men telling other men to "man up". Toxic masculinity is also not necessarily only encouraged by men. It makes up the structure of our society and hurts men more often than women.

In my opinion, yes. Some people may say no because you did technically consent. However, you only consented under pressure, which in my opinion can still be rape. However it is undeniable that she coerced you into sex by making you feel bad and emotionally abusing you. I'm sorry you had to be in an abusive relationship like this.

Women legally hold one of the biggest reasons for men not to leave abusive relationships. Children. If you leave an abusive wife you risk leaving your children to be abused and messed up. You don't want that. And if you love your kids, your wife can turn that around by saying you abused her. And don't forget child support.

Canada is far from full. I believe that we should keep out illegal immigrants but if they can't get in legally, what do they do? I think its better to let more in so that they can be legal. I believe the wage gap exists but Is much smaller than many "feminists" make it out to be. There are many men that run companies and decide to pay women less based on their sexist beliefs. I just don't think it's the cause of the evil patriarchy that EVERY man is a part of that's "oppressing" women

You can't "encourage" a mental illness. What does it matter to you personally if someone else identifies with the gender they aren't born with? Not "encouraging" their mental illness can lead them to commit suicide because of it. Treating mentally unstable people poorly regardless of your beliefs is dangerous for them.

Foreskin exists as a natural barrier and shield for your glans and entrance to your urethra. The glans without a foreskin will dry up and keratinize, therefore leading to reduced sensitivity and much reduced sexual pleasure.
