Agreed, for a more top heavy girl stick with your lifting belt until you've really hammered your core with some heavy front squats.

Getting close to a 2 Coolio 1RM, but right now probably around 1.8 Coolios.

For our more advanced lifting visitors from r/fitness, if you can keep her stable with a grip around her knees that is also acceptable. Just be careful because it's a much less stable hold and a mistake could lead to a missed lift.

If you are with a guy friend, dance with him… Really, it is not homo. I want to emphasize this. I suck at closing and can't give any advice at escalation in clubs (in part due to the fact that I've never lived within reasonable distance from an even halfway decent club, so my experiences are mostly learning while traveling) but I can get attention and interest really well. Dancing and having fun with other guys has been by far the most effective thing I've ever done. Even if you don't know the g…

I'm in a similar spot and really both of us should probably read the sidebar more and realize that the big thing is going to be just doing something about it and dealing with being uncomfortable. Being physically attractive is awesome for that first step, we get a little bit of attraction because of what we've already done before the girl even sees us, but other than drunk college aged girls at parties there's still more to be done. Being a sexy man gets your foot in the door, like you're seeing…

Glad you like it. The freeze-out was something I saw talked about here all the time a few months back and this was the first chance I really got to use it. You'll have to make sure what you pick matches with the situation (I was basically being a goof for the past few hours which is why this was completely appropriate) but yeah, chances are if you disengage a little when she puts up LMR, she'll pull you back in and you won't have to worry that you're the one pressuring her.

I think you're right that routines and canned material aren't necessary, but I think there's something in between inner game and canned material that can still be helpful. Detailed scripts can be found anywhere, but I think (especially on reddit) that a lot of people just don't know some of the basics like where to start with kino and how to appropriately turn conversation sexual. My inner game could certainly get better, but what's held me back until recently was knowing I had to escalate and j…

So I'll comment on two things. The more important one is your friend. I disagree with people saying to just tell him to fuck right off. Definitely ask/tell him not to do that shit again, tell him why it's fucked up, but I don't think one girl is worth losing a good friend. Second, with the girl, the best way I've found to get past that is just playing it off as your friend can say what you want, the reality is none of his, or her concern. I've got a friend who's been saying that about me for a w…

I love the idea of the "bro disqualifier." If you get a chance to field test it more when you get back to the US I'd love to hear how it works. Gonna try it myself when I get back someplace I speak the same language as the people.

Sometimes it'll just fall into your lap, and you won't have to do anything. Most of the time it doesn't work that way. It's entirely possible to be successful by accident, and sometimes a girl will do that. It shouldn't do damage to your idea of game, because you'll notice that one girl did that, not every girl in the club, nor did someone do that to you last time you were out. It's not going to happen with any kind of consistency.

I'm pretty sure it's because the way that the community is portrayed in common media is kinda sketchy, and often just too different for someone who is a frequenter of reddit to accept. I had a friend recommend some book to me once, when I was just not doing anything, and I couldn't read it. I scanned a few chapters and everything I read was things about basically making it your #1 and maybe even only goal, things where the only goal was bedding girls. Seddit has a good mix of people who will be …

If it's not okay to you, don't do it. Everyone has their own set of morals on this and they'll vary a bit. ThrowawayPUA is right, this isn't a place for discussing the morality of it. Everyone will have their own different rules with different shades of gray, and that's the way it is.

It happens because guys read fairy tales too. It's not until you realize that you can't just be there, be only a nice guy, and then get lucky and meet someone perfect for you that you can make the change. I had a friend send me a pick up book a while ago. I looked at a few chapters and felt it seemed to skeevy, and just didn't think it would help me find what I really wanted. Now, from what I remember of the book, that one was probably not a good match for me (either that or I skipped the founda…

I'm still a newbie, but I used a variation of it on this girl I hooked up with on a recent vacation. We were out at one of the touristy places and she drops some really blatant sexually charged comment (the challenge with this one was that she had a BF back home) and I didn't really have a good tease for it and said something along the lines of "this is the part where I make some crude joke about helping you out with that." rather than actually making the joke. And like I said, I hooked up with …

I definitely agree with Tofu that a lot of these are straight up what you want when you are still afraid of offending people, but I love #s 7 and 9. 7 is almost exactly what the community recommends for dealing with things like "how old are you?" and "what do you do?" when they're done as interview questions or shit tests. 9 is a personal favorite when I can't think of something clever fast enough. The others are all good for people who need to get past the fear of offending people too. It can d…

Yeah, I've been there hardcore in the past so I know what it's like. It's just good to make sure you are aware of it when you do it and don't end up chalking the entire thing up to the engagement, and making the change. Sounds like you're on the right track.

Okay, people are right that it may be true that nothing would have happened either way because she had a fiance. However, both your review adn HoodCardigan's seem accurate before that. You might have ended up in the same place without the fiance for those reasons. You were extremely available when this started. It took no convincing to get you to stay, you went to the play thing with her family, saw her almost every day for 2 weeks... While really, if she didn't have the fiance you might have go…

I believe it's supposed to change and become natural. It's eventually not going to be pick up lines (in fact, pick up lines are usually not recommended here from what I've seen) but rather just showing that you're having fun and in control of the situation. Acting alpha and having fun doesn't mean using canned phrases, the step by step actions and conversations are just to get people started until they can do it on their own.

Yeah, doesn't necessarily have to be a kiss though either. There are those who recommend you avoid the kiss until you're isolated and ready to push for the f-close, it builds sexual tension. Just was probably a good point for some more serious escalation, letting them do the little bit of groping, etc.

On the London girls, it sounds like they were basically trying to grope you and you shot them down over and over. Absolutely a great call on the first time, show them you aren't going to fall apart over them touching you. But at some point, if they clearly want to do that, I think you should find some way to escalate there. Be it teasing them for it but allowing it, doing a rapid escalation (into kiss close for example), or something like that. Social proof could have got them back, but from you…

I think what he's saying is that you hadn't built any attraction really at that point. You maybe made a clever comment on the name thing, but hadn't really gone anywhere from there. Your calling her out on dancing could be viewed as a "put up or shut up" kind of challenge. It could work if she's already attracted to you and she's now trying to qualify herself by showing you that she really is good at it, but without the attraction it's just calling her out to see if she's telling the truth. She …

Yeah, this is one of the things that I always kinda subconsciously knew, and instantly regretted it when it came up. Was the kind of thing where I was in a new town for 1 year for school, had made no efforts to do anything since I was focusing on school, then over the summer, the situation falls into my lap and I was totally unprepared. The mechanics of good ways to do it are also helpful for me. Even in my hometown I'm a bit too limited because I haven't tried out as many things as I should hav…

I really like the second one if they word it that way (and not "Hey, can you take a picture of us?") but man, seems like a fun challenge to try to do that straight faced and completely deadpan.

Thanks for not only the tip, but a good explanation of why it's important and how's a good way to go around doing it. I actually ran into exactly this problem with the last girl I dated. I was in school and didn't know ANYTHING in the area, and ended up having to ask her for suggestions for places. Super awful to end up doing. I plan on doing exactly this a lot in the near future, thanks!

Not an expert, but depending on which "techniques" you're using, there may not be anything that shows you are necessarily using pick-up methods. If you tease instead of neg (which from what I gather is usually the way to go) then you're just being fun. If you're confident and assertive, you're confident and assertive. The DiCarlo Escalation Ladder for kino isn't anything special in terms of a technique, it's just touching a person in a way that is unlikely to make them feel uncomfortable. Not an…

If you're concerned about the naturalness of your smile, I can actually give a suggestion. Find something that thinking about makes you smile. Be it a smirk, a full on smile, whatever you're aiming for. Always be ready with that. My forced smiles are TERRIBLE. Completely obvious that it's forced. For years all of my pictures were like that and my parents would tell me about it. Now, I still can't fake a smile, but if I can think of something, or just force myself a little laugh for no reason, th…

Thanks, that actually tells me exactly what I was curious on. I was talking with one of the girls at the hostel here who was with me on Tuesday night and I realized I probably should have not let her move on the third approach, or else on the fourth, turned around, flipped her around and basically grabbed her in. It was the quick escalation that I was missing.

Yeah, I'm not overly worried about it, I was playing the game that way because I had no expectations for that night (since they all seemed to be flakes) but I think you're right, the third she really wanted it and I should have probably gone all in there, and the fourth, if she had still pulled back on the third I probably should have really upped it. Thanks for the advice.

Fair enough, I was guessing that I probably should have gone all in and just pulled her in completely on the third or, failing that, definitely on the fourth.

Sounds good for me, I'm pretty bad at the cave man approach, having been a quiet guy for most of my life, but I'm picking it up a little bit, so perfect information for me. I'm thinking of trying some of the other places that are better than Gaspanic, where if I had thought fast enough to lie about what I did (I was a student at the time) I would have had a girl just cause she walked in and I was the first white guy she saw.

So I'm going to be between Tokyo and Kyoto for a few weeks coming up. Last time I was there I was about 45 pounds heavier and totally lacking in confidence, still got a few leads but was acting to beta to close. That said, now that I'm coming back, you have any super obvious tips I should know about Japanese girls besides the whole "it's easy?" Places to go besides Gaspanic, and specifically on weekdays would be particularly helpful.
