It takes two to be in a relationship. You have to rewire your brain. Take time to grieve. Make sure you’re eating and do something to take your mind off it. Walk, workout, see friends, work on hobbies. Find a healthy outlet. It all just takes time, everyone is different, you’re still young. Hang in there and be kind to yourself.

Never easy, hang in there man. Focus on your kids and yourself. Be civil when meeting them, you want them to be nice to your kids as well, no one will ever replace you as your children’s father.

Once they check out man it’s the beginning of the end. If you do try to make it work, and I’m all for it because this process fucking sucks. But if you have to sacrifice your happiness and walk on eggshells you’ll always have that doubt in the back of your mind that she’ll just pack up and leave again when things get tough. There are plenty of wonderful women out there, life is too short to not be happy. Hang in there man.

I’m choosing not to, not until it’s final and I move out. To me it feels like cheating even though I know it’s over. Just a mental thing for me I guess. Plus I’m not even close to being in the right headspace to date, wouldn’t be fair to the other person.

Fight like hell, rekindle the love man. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy.

Hang in there man, the first stage is fucking rough. No way to sugarcoat it. If she’s not willing to work on the marriage, you need to shift your focus from her to yourself and your son. Don’t do anything to jeopardize that. Don’t look to drugs or alcohol. Reach out to friends or family, find and build a support system. Use the services available to you within the military, there should be counselors or therapists available, use them. It’s a lot to process, take things one day at a time. Eat and…

I’m glad you’re doing better. It takes a long time to heal, be kind to yourself. You’re welcome, I’m always available!

Hang in there, you got this. Just one foot in front of the other, one day at a time. Reach out if you need someone to talk to.

If I had the chance to fight like hell for my marriage I would do it every time. I wouldn’t wish this shit on my worst enemy. Plan something fun and focus on each other now that the kids are older.

I know the feeling, and it’s awful. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. Find a healthy escape, go for a walk and put on some calming music. Find a project or task that you’ve been wanting to do and just take your mind off it just even for a little bit. It goes in waves but it does get better. I have a hard time trying to stop my mind from racing too worrying about the same stuff. Just focus and be there for your kids always. Everything will work out. I’m a month in and I’m still a fucking me…

Cheating is for weak minded people. Either work on your problems together or split up before you move on.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
