When I was in a bad relationship I felt alone, unhappy, and depressed. Being single I'm happy, can freely spend time with my friends and enjoy my hobbies. Why on earth would any sane person choose to be with a lv/ nv man and be unhappy just to say I'm in a relationship. Almost 50, single, with no kids, and living my best life. I'm open to being in a relationship with the right person but not going to settle just to be lonely and unhappy. Once you wake up and realize how little you gain from bein…

Also, research has been done verifying that men are happier and live longer when they are married. So, we women benefit men in alot of areas of life. This post is an awesome reminder to us that we have the power and shouldn't accept less then what we deserve.

My ex would have sex with me too while I was sleeping but he was also physically, mentally, and emotionally abusive. I'm just glad I finally stopped believing his lies that he would change and ended the relationship. It's sickening what some men will do to the person that they "love". That just because you are married they own your body. And the laws for so long supported rape in marriage. It doesn't even surprise me because some men have no respect for women and see us as just someone to be use…

This is a very interesting question and something I really have not thought about. Do I enjoy giving oral sex, yes as a part of foreplay with a partner that treats me with love and respect both inside and outside the bedroom. I believe it should be something we choose to do, rather then something we are forced too do. I feel like society has made it seem like it's something we should do to please our partners even if we don't like it. But for those who don't like it, you shouldn't do it.

Most people who are crtizing this site are low and no value men and their cohorts. Just imagine if their were a revolution and all women stopped catering to these people who add no value to our lives. Thank you mods for providing a platform for women to come together to vent and provide support to each other. It's much needed in a sea of sites that push for us to accept any kind of behavior and be mistreated simply to say I have a "man". Like that's some kind of reward. Every woman needs to be a…

It's a great list and something that all adults should do. Which is basically have something to offer a woman besides some average sex.

Even if it's not a red flag to anyone else, it's a red flag to you. I personally would weigh the pros and cons of a relationship with him. But if it's a deal breaker for you, then you should not date him because I can only see this being an issue in the future. Do what you feel is the right thing for you.

From my experience with old men only want to talk about and do one thing...and that's sex. They should change the name from dating site to hook up site.

I agree, we are all naive in the beginning of dating and some people are really good at manipulating others as well. It's not the woman's fault that some men are manipulative and take advantage of our naivety. The blame should rest solely on the manipulator. That's one of the things I like about fds, this site uplifts women. Society lots of times tells us we have to lower our standards or cater to men to be in a relationship. Fds shows us that we don't have to lower our standards nor should we c…

Congrats that you broke free of an abusive relationship. Good luck with life; being happy and free to live life on your terms.

Unfortunately alot of men do this. They lie and play the role of devoted boyfriend until they get what they want which is sex. And if they succeed in having sex with you then all of a sudden they have to much going on with work or personal life to be in serious relationship but they have time to have sex with you when they are in the mood for sex. On the flip side when you don't fall for their charade they usually get upset or continue with the charade hoping they can convince you to change your…

If he is balking over spending money on a ring that symbolizes their commitment to each other I bet he is cheap with her in other areas as well and if he is not valuing her now it will only get worse once they are married. People spend time and money on the things they value and that are important to them. Sounds like the only thing he values is himself and hopefully she sees that now and refuses to marry him.

Maybe some people do change but from my personal experience they usually don't. They might treat you right for a period of time but it doesn't last. I wasted 5 years of my life in an abusive relationship hoping he would change. Never again will I put myself in that position! If you do give a NV or LV man a second chance then let that be his only chance. Or you will just end up wasting years on a guy that never changes.

I agree 1000%. It doesn't matter why he treats you bad, what matters is whether or not you accept how he treats you or leave him and eventually meet someone that will treat you the way you deserve to be treated.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
