Well that was my problem. I stayed 11 year for the kids. I realized that I was only allowing my kids to see me miserable and mistreated by their mother. They had to listen to her scream at me. It was breaking them and I could not stand what we were putting them through. That is when I decided enough was enough. When you hit the bottom you always have a choice to get up.

I am not 100% against it as I know it can work. However, I do not plan on getting married again. I am still young and it could happen but definitely not untill my kids are grown.

You do not have to take the journey alone but you do need to remember that you are doing it for you and not someone else. You are the captain of your ship. It is always nice to have support when you can.

I am what wondering what are you looking for from this post? Were you looking for comfort and/or understanding? It seems like you need to work on you and improve your mindset. Don't get caught up on things you cannot control. It will drag you down in life.

She keep mine. I think she did it to have the same last name as the kids, followed by not wanting to do all the paperwork. I personally would have perfered she not but that was not my choice to make. Just live your life and move on is the best thing you can do.

I do not think he was joking. He had a surprised look on his face after I responded. It never came up again.

You are not the only one. My mediator actually asked me If I was going to get married again soon after everything was finalized. My response was "Not any time in the foreseeable future. " I no longer see the value of Marriage unless I am going to treat it like a business. Most things in our life are conditional and divorce was the final nail.

I 100% agree with this. That line is you determining your self worth. It is also what you are willing to accept and put up with.

I was looking at their rules and apparently you can not be a member if you are not a mom. Really not the type of group I would want to be part of anyways.

I am not a lawyer so like others have advised, you should talk to a lawyer to know your options. I think it comes down to your state and what has been decided between both parties. We are going through a mediator. We have the option to have the house appraised to determine the equity. From here the person staying would refinance the house with 50% of the equity added to what is owed. The person leaving will then receive their portion of the equity. From my understanding your name would temporari…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
