This. Do EVERYTHING this man says. I had something extremely similar happen to me earlier this year and the pictures, plus getting reasonable cops made a big difference. If you have an android phone download a free app called Total Recall as well; it automatically records every incoming and outgoing call to your phone and archives them. I'd be suprised if there wasn't such a thing for apple phones too. Stick to your story for the police ONCE, but shut up and lawyer up immediately if this becomes…

Those really are HUGE declines. It'll be interesting to see just how far they plummeting the next 10-20 years.

This. I really, truly think that we're going to see less men choosing marriage until the justice system gets it's shit together. The insane risk you take getting married is getting less and less worth it the more attitudes like the one illustrated here become more prevalent. I'm not saying plenty of men won't still get married, but I'm expecting the rate (especially amongst educated men) to plummet over the next few decades.

Again, the Court knows who did and didn't sign the paperwork, we don't know anything for sure. Anything beyond that is speculation based on a few lines in an article.

Ah, got it. Camwhore is a better term. When I hear pornstar I think actual set, a page on xvideos, and a production company in the Valley with a budget.

I don't know what you mean by "unsubstantiated" about the claim that the defendant signed paperwork. The court will presumably be able to determine through the documents themselves, testimony, or inference if he actually signed the papers. I don't think that making that determination is the issue here. The article also doesn't attribute the line about "helping" as a quote from the mother, so we don't even know if that in fact is a claim she is making; it could be the defendant's claim. I also do…

I completely agree. As to the reasons why she isn't looking at fraud charges, my only thought is that she stopped getting checks when the kid turned 18, and maybe there is a statute of limitations that has run. I kind of doubt it though, as the government always has mechanisms to get paid when it feels like it is due money. To be completely fair though, we don't actually know that she isn't facing charges in a separate case as well; we only know what the article(s) are telling us, which isn't mu…

Alexander’s ex had a baby and didn’t know who was the child’s father. She reportedly needed state assistance, so the case worker demanded that she name a Father for the child. Alexander, who only went up to the eighth grade education-wise, decided to help his ex so that she could receive state assistance. Again, we have incomplete and nebulous facts, but I'm taking that to mean that he proactively signed paperwork identifying himself as the father for the purposes of getting his girlfriend state…

As far as I can tell this woman has NO porn vids attached to her name, so I don't know how or why they are calling her a "porn star."

You have to appreciate the two sides of the story here, because the case isn't as cut and dry as the article linked in the OP. The second article linked in this thread seems to elaborate some. From what I've been able to glean, this is more or less the situation: On one hand you have the State, who has been paying welfare benefits to a woman on a pretense that a father, who this man apparently at some point held himself out to be, would be contributing. Because this "father" never paid support, …

This. The article linked is trash, it is hard to believe that it got through an editor.. It doesn't even attribute the last quote, making it confusing as hell to read. It also leaves out some HUGE facts. A few of the other articles go into slightly more depth, but the fact is that trying to sum up a confusing and complicated situation in ~100 words is bad journalism.

Intentions often matter in a court of law, just maybe not here. Both good faith and actual malice are very well established legal principles. Unfortunately, if he signed paperwork identifying himself as the father, that might very well establish his intent to act as the father in the eyes of the court.

This. The case should have been dismissed for lack of service fight off the bat; I'd be very, very surprised if it still wasn't dismissed at his next hearing. This guy also has clear claim against the State in my opinion. Unfortunately, I doubt it will be pursued.

29 year old lawyer here. Every one of my friends is either in a very serious relationship or married. I have to say that my perception is that not a single one is as happy overall as I am. ALL the married ones are in the process of divorce or miserable, and the rest are on such short chains they act more like slaves than partners. If you are single you have a super power that most don't; the ability to do whatever the fuck you want whenever the fuck you want. The amount of freedom I have is some…

Good luck! One easy way to maybe get a "roadmap" or at least a feel for what topics you want to teach would be to either find a family law syllabus or pre-prepared law school outline and go from there. Both should be fairly easy to get online, scribid.com is where I get some of my outlines and they are either super cheap (~$10) or free. Teaching a whole outline would probably be too much, but it would give you a sense of the major, most prevalent topics. Wikipedia is also actually really awesome…

I have no idea what the parents of high school girls would do, but it is possible to teach a family law course without being divisive. Like I said, I'm in one now with 60+ (male and female) students and it isn't a daily shitstorm of outrage in the least. It would not be terribly difficult to grab ~5 statutes from the relevant state that relate to parenting time, 3rd party custody seekers, prerequisites for marriage, legal parent status etc. and explain the concepts in an objective way to young k…

If you get a woman pregnant because she lied to you about a fake test and then stopped using birth control on the premise that she's already pregnant, you'll 100% still be paying for that kid. Plus good luck proving those false pretenses. Marriage or no marriage you are still screwed. In most states annulment is limited to things like lack of capacity to consent, duress, and fraud- fraud is usually limited to things like using a false identity or already being married and lying about it. Marriag…

I think the family law portion of sex ed is a great idea, even if its just a couple day primer for high school students. I'm taking family law in law school and it really isn't that complicated for the most part; and the broad strokes could be taught to high schoolers in less than a week. Considering most people will have to deal with it in some way at some point in their lives, a few lessons could really help the public as a whole.

When women hold men to impossible standards like this I don't feel bad holding them to similar impossible standards. I know that isn't a good way to solve some of the problems men or women have, but at least it can be a two way street.

Right on, that is a good point. I think the answer then is to group that kind of stuff by default into a different area for new people. The tendency to resort to petty language still needs to be addressed.

You are right, all it is is a reddit sub on one lonely corner of the internet. Next time we have a modpost about how we just passed 40k subscribers, and how that is more than /r/feminism, make sure to tell the mods the same thing you just told me. EDIT: why can't it be a movement? Feminism was a movement that greatly benefited women; Can't (and shouldn't) men have the same thing?

I'm not sure what the solution is, other than to have the mods set some new guidelines in the rules, and enforce them with an iron fist. That probably isn't going to happen. Another option would be to have some sort of improved system of filtering out the worthless / openly hateful / openly juvenile posts and archiving them somewhere else; some kind of sub sub. I think a lot of the articles posted here could more appropriately be moved to /r/MensRights.

I'm talking median. I know absolutely zero girls (who aren't hugely gross) who have ever told me their number and are below 20. I'm talking sluts, church girls, rich, poor, black, white, asian, hispanic, educated, uneducated- doesn't matter. I think you'd be very surprised. Observe what you see at schools, bars, clubs, restaurants, parties etc. The rule is that if you see a halfway decent looking girl anywhere, she is getting sex from somewhere. The ones that aren't are the exception. For someon…

30-40 is average these days, 10 is still considered a "good girl." I hear what you are saying, 30-40 is a lot, but good luck finding any that have significantly less. Not saying its right, but this is the world we live in..

Yeah, I can actually see a lot of benefit to this, as you have the girl who is great in bed locked down. The trick is actually locking them down. These women are used to variety, and are used to getting sex a lot. If you think you can settle one down, congrats, and I hope you do. However, these are also the types of women who are going to split the second things don't go their way, because they know for sure they have other options out there.

Kills a man's sex drive too. This Isn't the worst part though, the "brain zaps" described in the "SSRI discontinuation syndrome" wiki above are the worst. It literally feels like a short electric current is shocking your brain, followed by a total shift in the outside perception of the world. (I know that doesn't make sense, but it is the best description I have.) SSRIs are weird stuff, but infinitely valuable if prescribed correctly to somebody who really needs them. Despite the shitty side eff…

What is this post even about? So you saw a post about a woman on the front page who was going to kill herself, then you put an often quoted line from another RP poster at the bottom. Is anyone else confused? EDIT: Can the mods delete this garbage? It really is only serving to make this sub look bad, and is doing NOTHING to add to the RP message or conversation.

I had that happen to me too, I'm not picky about numbers so it didn't matter to me, but it was interesting how she seemed to want me to know. We were talking about an acquaintance who is 25 and has slept with 200+ guys, my GF at the time threw it out there (I think) to show me that her number was only a fraction of this.

I've posted this before, and I know it isn't a popular opinion here but I'm going to give my take on this. Look at my post history if you think I'm whiteknighting, I'm not. My preference is for girls that have some experience. The talent of lots of girls in bed is pretty poor; give me one who knows what shes doing. I don't want to be teaching someone how to be decent in bed, or one who is afraid of a dick. I'd much rather be with someone who has been with 30 guys than 3. I'd say anything over 40…

Like I said, understand the divorce system in your state. Most states won't "just throw out" a prenup. It is a legal document and the court will respect it if it is prepared properly and is fair. That being said, I suspect some judges (especially in the South) might look at them unfavorably in some very limited situations. Do your research and see how courts in your local area have treated similar documents in the past. I think the Gene Simmons route could be workable, but if things go bad you w…

I'm not sure. I guess my best advice would be to ask yourself what kind of family you want. If you tell yourself you want a lifelong commitment from a woman, kids, a white picket fence, and the American Dream I'd caution you that you are probably not going to get it. If you want a woman who will give you children that you can be a father to, you can probably find that. Lots of married women do stick around, but lots don't. Marriages fail more often than they work, even the ones that don't end in…

This is what MGTOW is to me: a man who has weighed the cost/benefit of dealing with women in a romantic sort of way, and realized it just isn't worth it. I completely understand the appeal of MGTOW, and I'm almost there. As for #1 and #4; MGTOW men are NOT losers, virgins, or necessarily old. I'll use myself as an example: I'm not a basement dweller or a virgin; I've been with scores of women and all save maybe 2 or 3 would have been able to make a living based solely on their looks. If an objec…

EXACTLY. All women do this, the one in this story is crazy, but not in any special way. She wanted to cheat: perhaps her subconscious wasn't able to devise a shit test he couldn't pass, so she simply found any reason her stupid brain could. Women do this ALL THE TIME. Stop being surprised or incredulous and move on.

I hate how not surprised I am at this kind of stuff. I hate how this has become "normal" female behavior to me. I hate how 99% of the world doesn't see how often shit just like this happens, how women are the ones doing it 99% of the time, and don't call women out on it. I hate how this kind of behavior is CONSTANTLY shoved under the rug with the phrase "oh well, not all women are like that!" Like it somehow makes things better, or excuses how widespread things like this are.

Agreed. Height is a huge advantage, but not a deal breaker if you have a decent mindset. I've fucked plenty of really beautiful women being 5'10. Have a positive mindset and get good at talking to girls and you WILL get laid. I think most guys worry about height more than most women do. Don't let women dictate what they want to you; get some game and SHOW them that they want you. Regardless of height.

Question on the sleep thing: I lift, but keep crazy hours because of school/work. I sleep on average 8 hours a night, but that might be like 3am to 11am half the days. I get plenty of rest, but my circadian rhythms are pretty screwed up. Is this OK?

There ARE plenty of women who will never be the least bit attractive to men. That being said, your rest of your statement is spot on. I'll also say that at least where I'm from, the amount of good looking, in shape men with their shit together financially and mentally VASTLY outnumbers the amount of women with the same traits. I'd say the number is 6-8 to 1. This means that the lower quality women have VASTLY more options and can afford to get fat, act like children, and generally let themselves…
