Dude, telling men to “dominate sometimes” if they’re dating a good-looking woman is dangerous. Tell them to instigate honest conversations about sexual desires, theirs and hers. If some guy made that assumption with me, I’d call the cops. No second chances. Editing to add this: if they’re sexually dominant, they probably already know that about themselves. Let’s not convince men they ALL have to be dominant! Variety is the spice of life.

You probably share physical characteristics (or it could be the way you dress/accessorize/cut your hair) with people that person knows and would call fuckboys. “Fuckboy” could mean a lot of things, but think of a guy who makes passes at a lot of women without actually valuing them as people or being willing to put any effort into a relationship. There’s also a connotation of not having one’s life together.

Creep. Good for you, not letting that go anywhere.

Prospect 1 kept asking whether you were enjoying yourself, but now he’s leaving you wondering about how HE felt. He also said he’d call, so it’s his responsibility to follow up by calling. I don’t think you need to put in any effort there; it was definitely his turn, so not reaching out is ok. Also, it seems like he felt insecure about not knowing what you thought and wanted to have more information than you, so maybe he’s manipulative (in which case reaching out for closure couldn’t help), but …

Poor or frugal. I totally agree that you don’t have to be able to afford a massive party to get legally married, so if you can’t afford it, don’t worry. Hopefully I won’t be that poor when I someday get married, and hopefully the guy won’t either, but . . . I can’t imagine wanting to spend what some people spend on a dress.

Yeah, I wish somebody’d mentioned those to me years ago!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
