No matter what you choose to do , don’t make any rush moves. Actions based on emotional state are great in situations when your life is in immediate danger. Not so much otherwise (99.999% of your life) Keep your head up, brother. This shit is rough.

Impact to libido is fairly common with traumatic experiences such as divorce. Stay strong.

Endorphins. So far, going back to the gym had the most impact. I also got my motorcycle license and reconnected with a ton of friends. Some days suck. But far fewer now that summer’s upon us. Perhaps a support group to kickstart your motivation? Hang in there. You will handle it.

Get 50/50 custody. Stay civil and apart. You cannot control anything but yourself at this point. It sucks. I am sorry you are going through this bs

Are you romantically involved? Leave now. If he figures out his shit - get back with him. If he doesn't, you'll soon be a 45 yo woman with a 50 year old cry baby to take care of. If you are not romantically involved - enjoy the ride for as long as you would like. But the guy needs therapy and needs to work on himself. You can't help.

21 and in the relationship for 8 years? Go have fun dude. Live a bit. Like for the 15 years. Then get a pre-nup. Then let someone spin your head.

These are my kids. We bought our house for them and you know what - I don't mind if they keep it. I will fight for my kids tooth & nail. But if I can have it w/o the fight, I'd rather. Co-parenting on good terms is a much easier arrangement. I am not 20 anymore and don't need to rack up points from "go get your balls out" crew;)

ok, so my plan would be to go after her business. perhaps then we can find a way to agree. I don't mind leaving the house to her, I just don't what to me entangled in it. It's too much leverage and then the kids. Shit's about to get ugly.

Which is close to the number I gave you. So not a big deal, considering that I am currently paying nearly 2k for her and kids insurance

She is bringing in $400K+, is there a leg for her to stay on? I was told I'd be on the hook for $1200 per month tops.

I have tried everything. Therapy is a fucking joke. Asked back in Nov, she refused. In Feb said we're getting a divorce unless she starts to go to the therapy with me. She agreed and we had a first session where she told me that a. She won't say whether she wants a divorce because it could be used against her. b. She doesn't trust me and c. 2 hours of how abusive I was over the last 17 years and how non-confrontational she was dealing with it "I should have left before we had kids" Yeah? Okay. N…

I'll need some luck for sure. Interviewing my third attorney later today. FML x 100. So sick and tired of asking myself why this is happening.

Easy, you're abusive and need to take this program. We had a fight right before and I thought if I go through it, the punishment would be enough to mend the relationship. No act of physical violence on record but she sent some emails (drafted by legal) alleging there was some. I ignored them. Worried that Lawyers will make this into a huge deal and will kill any relationship we could have as co-parents in addition to sucking us both dry. These are my kids too. Fucking mess, I was already raped, …

I think she is trying to split right down the middle keeping her business and kids in the house. I feel gutted every time when I think about this. It's a bloody mess. You would think it's 20K to get through this BS, but I hear stories of people paying 300K+ before they settle.

She made me sign for DV program and give anecdotal evidence against myself. I was blind. 25 weeks into 40 week program and she knows which program.

That's a problem because I bought into one of the most expensive neighborhoods in metro area. Getting back w/o selling primary residence and splitting equity would not be possible. In fact, I might have an issue affording a place in that area even if we split. But my rental is 20 min away from their school. Striking first is something I think about. But the real question is refi, should I be signing?

Thank you kind sir. Any little bit of support is appreciated. I am getting better. This was the worst winter of my life. I spent it completely isolated in my head. I was hoping to reconcile and didn't tell anyone. Happy to be alive for sure, was not feeling well for a while, life felt like a continuous panic attack with breaks for 2 hour sleep increments. Most macho guy you know, crying in fetal position for 6 months. Last week I told my friends and got a ton of emotional support. Going to visit…

She won't move, her business is tied to a geographic location. Mentioning custody or division of children will likely trigger full blown war now. My thought was to get into a place where I can actually have kids stay with me (current apartment doesn't work) and then start difficult conversation. What I am worried about is her seeing that I am largely over the relationship itself and striking first.

Money: Would it make sense to draft something through mediation services? Are you legally divorced or “amicably” separated? I would not cut anything until agreement is signed or you will deal with her lawyers. Relationship: Try to have “need” driven conversations. Interact mostly via text, keeps emotions out and you can triple take to ensure nothing can be held against you. You: There’s isn’t anyone out there who will make you feel better. Well maybe for a bit. But then you get right back into y…
