This is the most useless dating advice for men, it trivilalizes our struggles and gaslights us. It's this lack of answers that pushes men to find actual (but wrong) answers in groups that at least validate our struggles like RP does. What does "human being" mean? Straight en are human beings and you can just ask them for sex or a date and they will say yes (even in the street, research on sexual offers from strangers proves it). Straight men are humans and are thrilled when a female friend wants…

You are talking about it as it is a bad thing. Most straight men are in heaven when a female friend ask them to date or for sex, gay men usually have hookups or date most of their male friends. Research show we men would say yes to a date or sex to a random woman asking us in public even if the woman is considered unattractive, women of course say no usually (RP claims hypergamy, feminiss claim strangher threat) but it seems that the difference persists even when the woman feels safe. Aren't wom…

That's not the point, you said this happens very often to most women - not just you - which means there's a huge assymentry in attraction even in the context of a friend when the woman feels safe. I'm sure this happened to you even before you had a boyfriend, tons of male friends wanting to date you and you feeling smothered by the attention even though you felt safe around most of these men (not all of course) as they weren't street harassers. Meanwhile not even ONCE in my life has a woman show…

Why is it weird to make sexual or romantic advances on friends? You women say you are attracted to men you feel safe around, then you should consider it normal ONLY to feel attracton towards friends (as you can't feel safe around strangers). We gay and straight men are attracted to most people our age but we understand women feel unsafe around strangers, so we don't offer sex to strange women (except for the sociopath who catcall women). We forget about our sexual desire and make female friends,…

Don't you have that vibe with your best friends? What you expressed perfectly describes my relationshp with my best friends through life, we see each and understand each other immediately. I also have that with my brothers, my best friends are almost like my brothers anyway so it makes sense that I would feel the same. Have you ever had a best male friend? Didn/t you have that vibe? What is the difference then?

I edited the comment, now it better represents what I meant. What are the differences behaviors and traits that trigger romantic chemistry as opposed to platonic chemistry in you? At least for me there's no such difference, a good friendship personality plus being physically attractive trigger chemistry. This is apretty common form of attraction in men, men usually want to date seriously women they can be friends with. This is why many men love a woman who likes videogames (or plays soccer where…

I was with you until you said your experience applied to most women. Sorry, but if that was the case friend-zone wouldn’t be such a widespread issue. So many women complain that their close male friends too often end up also wanting a FWB or a committed romantic relationship, often these women feel hurt because they feel a deep connection with these men but don’t feel attraction, if deep connections mattered more than looks we would expect these women at least feeling some sort of attraction mos…

There are some male users who have thrown the same figure here. I think some people here - male and female - are just trying to shoot down the opposite sex here. I can't imagine finding less than 5% of people physically attractive.

It depends on what they say. Do they compliment more your looks? Do the make many sexual references? They have sexual feelings for you. Do they seek an emotional connection? Do they compliment more your character despite finding you attractive? They have romantic and sexual feelings for you which is at the basis of pair-bonding, the evolutionary strategy humans have developed to raise children.

This is not based on failing at dating, if anything it’s the experience of men ”falling” very easily and wanting to be in relationships immediately. Why don't you just talk to the men who have romantic feelings for you? You have men who want a relationship with you, just date them. What should I say? No woman has ever found me attractive unless I use pictures of hot men, only gay men have not judged me for my low attractiveness level. I went into the RP because I had no irl proof of women actual…

I try to at least remain acquintance despite the pain, I've never had a verbal fight with a female friend or acquaintance in my life, I don't hold hate against the women who reject me, it's just pain/sadness and I'm glad you can understand me, sometimes it feels like women can't experience unrequited love. What truly hurts me is that no woman has ever shown the slight romantic interest in me. It's cool to have drinks together with a female or male friend but I crave deep intimacy, romantic gestu…

Yes, I do see woman as humans but I see many women having a different idea of "humanity". One example among many, I've been told by a woman in this very sub that not remaining close to a female friend you want to be in a romantic relationship with after rejection means seeing women as "love objects", by that logic does the woman see the man as a"platonic object" in such a scenario? I would totally accept a woman taking distance from me after rejecting her romantic feelings, I don't see it as an …

I'd say go for it, don't let others judge you. Asian women genuinely find white men more attractive if we look at the evidence. Unless there's a large age gap I think there's little chance they find you unattracitve and are only using you. Of course you will have higher quality encounters in a rich asian country like South Korea since women aren't desperate there and will be more culturally similar to you. Korean women won't offer you marriage at first sight but that's not something you should l…

Because white men are considered as more conventionally attractive than asian men in Asia (well, it's the same in the West according to OLD data). A below average white man is equivalent to an above average asian man looks-wise in Asia, add that Western men are generally wealthier than asian men living in Asia and you are basically prince charming for those women. Money is only part of the explanation, whoever thinks that's the only reason behind the trend doesn't understand women's beauty stand…

I read that your data concerns sexual behaviors in 2021, during the lockdown. Could the reversal in the distribution of sex between men and women be a consequence of women taking the lockdown more seriously? Studies show women are less risk-taker than men and took social distancing and the lockdown more seriosuly than men did, the fact that after years of women having more sex than men with the gap becoming larger and larger over the years, was reversed exactly during the quarantine is suspiciou…

How is he a RPer? He didn't subscribe to any RP tenet: hypergamy, 80/20 rule, female serial monogamy, AF/BB, PUA/Game etc. He is a sexist hyper-masculine guy with low impulse control and mental health problems, I know plenty of guys like him who don't even know what RP is, guys like this are often involved in criminal behavior and substance abuse. Calling him RedPiller is like calling a gym bro who sees himself as an "alpha male" for vlogging his PRs a RedPiller.

I really do not see a counter to this argument. In the casual sex world, any woman can sleep with most guys but only hot or rich men can sleep with many women. People have a problem when this mindset is applied to relationships but, from what I've also read on this sub, it is generally agreed upon that consistent casual sex with many people is a privilege that only women - regardless of looks - and attractive men have.

With friednzone I only mean asking out a female acquaintance or friend and she telling you "I only see you as a friend", I don't mean hanging around afterwards with the hope that she will change her mind. It's basically the most common form of rejection in social circles and since cold approching is not allowed and dating apps do not work for men, friendzone is the most common form of rejection for the average man.

i've just checked and 110 upvotes for 1.7k views is A LOT. I can get 100 upvotes every 25k views at best with high-effort threads in communities that are also biased in my favour. Because FDS is a significantly more recent community, Reddit's mods ban communities only after these reach a certain level of negative fame and reports unless a community seriously breaks important sitewide rules. TRP and MGTOW have been out there for many years without problems, it took them a lot of time to get quarantined and banned in MGTOW case. One of the main reasons why FDS moved outside of Reddit was because they didn't trust Reddit mods to keep their community unbanned and for good rea…

I see. By the way, even if you had been a FDS poster it wouldn't have been a problem to me as I find their takes interesting even though I think their community is as toxic as RP if not more as they refer to men with more dehumanizing terms similarly to how incels operate (without the violence and self-harm, fortunately). Men are more likely to face violent crime, men are more likely to be homeless. On the other hand, men are more likely to commit violent crime, men are more likely to be billionaires. I believe men are over-represented in both the most oppressed and most priviliged groups, you can't really make an "average".

"I didn't choose to have tons of money so it's not my fault if poor people treat me better. The problem is poor people" Just because you didn't choose a privilege it doesn't mean that it's not real. Besides, do men really desire women more than the other way around? Or, maybe, men just desire more casual sex than the other way around? If it's the latter, it's not a dating advantage for women since most women do not want casual sex.

I don't believe men are privileged, some men and some women are. Once feminists stop saying that men are priviliged maybe more men will be open to join the feminist discourse.

By the same logic, women shouldn't have close friendships with men where they share their emotions because men always catch feelings. So why do many women blame men who complain about being friendzoned? Are they brainwashed by FemalePill propaganda like I am? Why do women value flirting without making a move? Gay men value honesty, if you like someone just tell them, Why do women value dishonesty? What are the social/biological reasons behind that? I'm confident when I ask out women in my social circle and when I make friends., I guess the problem is not being flirty enough. What do you mean with confidence? I don't have social anxiety, I can make friends. I don't see how not valuing her friendship after rejection means he only see her as a sexual object, making friends before asking someone out is the basis of using social circles for finding dates and relationships. Most people I know do not have close friends of the opposite sex yet they got into relationships and look for relationships, it has nothing to do with seeing other people as sexual objects.

ou are assuming. We are in a time that loneliness is growing in our generation. In every movie/tv show you see friendless or low friend characters and lonely folks are portrayed as deviants, even in romance movies the main character always has a bestie because friendship is taken as a given. I base my arguments on what women say, notice how I didn't say anything about what straight men and RP say. RP is based on many wrong beliefs and misinterpreations of data, still rejecting RP doesn't mean I reject my ongoing quest for truth. Attraction starts with looks but it's not the only factor. One way to think my question is this: sexual object - someone who hits on you in the streets or tells you sexual comments at a bar non-sexual object - someone from your social circle who asks you out, a person at a bar who makes a move on you after having got to know you through conversation.

https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/shameless-woman/201301/cracking-the-code-female-sexual-desire tl;dr while men get aroused sponteneously, women get aroused by being desired. I've never heard a RedPiller saying that attraction in men is rooted in the need for validation, I've heard RedPillers saying this about women. This comment is completely absurd. Women always say that they do NOT want to be approached bymen they do not know men, thus men try to be friendly first but you say that's wrong now? Like, they are literally doing what women say. Don't women find most men attractive like straight and gay men do? It should be noted that black RPers usually talk badly about black women, not RPers of other races. The reason is probably because black RPers interact more with women who belong to their own race than other women, the same way white RPers and asian RPers talk badly more about women who belong to their own race,

There's no girlfriend-zoned or friend-zoned because real relationships involve respect and reciprocity. It's telling about women's relationship options, average men don't have plenty of women wanting to be their girlfriend, this shows women also have TONS of relationship options. it's simply untrue that women only have more sexual options which debunks your previous statement. Doesn't this thread prove that women get a girlfreidnzoned a lot too? Not just "f***-zoned"? Half of the comments are women saying they have been girlfriend-zoned and they do not report scary situation, just uncomfortable ones. Maybe, just maybe, you develop feelings over time? You don't just want sex from somoene you have liked for two years, you also like their personality but it takes time to like someone's personality. The rejection from someone you love is also 1000x more painful because she is rejecting the real you (not just a picture on a dating app) and you really like her, this is why many guys need space after rejection.

No, dating apps mean 0 matches for average men, they are literally not a viable option for us, don't try to make it looklike it's equal for everyone. Cold approches are wrong too from what you say, now you are saying that making friends first to make the woman feel is safe is also wrong to find relationship. I'm shocked to be honest.

People in this sub often say that cold approaches and dating apps don't work, that one should make friendship with women at least a little bit first before showing attraction. is this wrong now? Situations like this often happen because of advice like that.

Romantic attraction is not something one chooses, it doesn't have to be justified by rational reasons. You can't lie to yourself to feel acrush towards someone as people can't choose whom they are attracted to. Not compatible people can love (it happens often), bad people can love, good people can love.

TRP is not alt-right but many RPers are into the alt-right, this is probably because both groups share a zero-sum game view of group dynamics - gender in TRP case - due to TRP transactional view of relationships. Men vary in physical taste, I'm more attracted to overweight women, it's not because I'm less shallow that other men, it's just how my body reacts to them. I think "turned on" is too ambiguous as a term, it can refer to attraction in general, be it romantic or sexual. "Horny" is better but it wasn't allowed by the subreddit anti-spam filter. Something like "What traits make you sexually desire someone?" would be a perfect question to make.

I'm replying here because your last comments has been removed from the anti-spam filter, it's probably the Amazon link. PLATONIC VALIDATION As I said, yes we men can get platonic validation as easily as women, just making friends with our fellow men is an example. By definition, friendships and platonic validation (ie. being recognized as a good cook, good athlete, smart etc.) don't involve attraction, you can get them outside of dating as attraction and your sexuality are not factors. Men and w…

TYPES OF VALIDATION Can't you get that type of validation outside of dating and men? I'm more flattered when my professor says I'm smart than when an attractive woman does it, I'm more flattered when a guy into sports says I'm good at sports than when a attractive woman says it, I'm more flattered when a chef says I'm good at cooking than when an attractive woman does it. This is platonic validation, you can get it from friends and by definition friendships don't involve attraction so you can ge…

Why is Mystery the best PUA? Because he claims to be and says he is? Your question should really be "Why does manipulation appear to work in the courses sold to me by my favorite PUA, but not in the real world? What is the disconnect?" I thought about this a lot, I couldn't believe that seduction could be learnt. Not knowing any PUA in person I decided to make my own reserach (I'm still doing ti). I meant that there's no such thing as a common PUA belief, there's only a common purpose: get women seuxally attracted to you and bed them. Boxing is different from BJJ, they have nothing in common but both have the same purpose: fighting, which is what defines martial arts. This is what I meant.

I don't use social scripts on men because I don't need to. if I want to have sex with a gay man I only have to ask (I'm not into men unfortunately), if I want to befriend men I just do activities with them. Doing acitivities with women has never led one to show any romantic interest in me, they just behave like straight men around me, no interest aside of platonic one. Yes, I would be creeped out if a guy approached me like that. And, as I said, there's no such thing as "what pickup artists say". For example, Mystery, arguably the best PUA, is explicitly against approaching women from the front side. According to Mystery you should approach women from the side, not only that but according to the Mystery's method you shouldn't approach a woman alone, instead you should approach her group as a whole and only after a while focus on the woman you are interested in…

None of the people he mocks in the video is a recognized PUA. PUA means any dating tactic used to bed womenà, it's not a commom set of strategies. I also see this tendency to associate anyone who commits mass shootings or is mysognistic to incels. A biased question attracts biased answers, particularly because these are self-selected samples. Asexual men exist, demisexual men exist, men with particular submissive fetishes exist. Yes, we can take these men in consideration but their contribution is statistically small. On average allosexual men, a talent adds on romantic attraction and very little to nothing to lust/sexual desire. Humans are complex, maybe talent and confidence add 1% to male sexual desire? I don't know, Of course having s…

Yes, it would be interesting to include talent and confidence in such experiments. That study is very limited. If you want to differentiate between sexual attraction and sexual desire (which to me equals lust), I find most women my age sexually attractive by defautl so just existing is neough. After all, multiple replicated studies show that more than 70% of men would say yes to a random woman asking them in public to have sex even if the woman is rated as unattractive by the researchers (if she…

No, I'm talking about sexual desire here, not LTR. You can replace willigness to have casual sex with sexual desire if you think casual sex holds too many barriers to women and thus doesn't allow for a fair comparison, I want to understand what turns men and women on. I'm focusing on gender differences in sexual attraction, not LTR. In the studies I've seen intelligence and status are factors in men's attraction but their relative value is way lower than the value they hold to women, their relev…

That was an example of talent, I used it because Mystery - the best PUA according to most - was a magician and used magic tricks to meet the talent sexual switch, it was a reference to him. You can replace magic with knowing how to play an instrument if magic is not considered a talent in your circles.
/r/ExRedPill08/06/22 01:03 AM

Talent and confidence do not trigger sexual attraction in men. A woman doing magic tricks doesn't appear more sexually attractive to men, she would be definitely interesting but her talent won't inspire desire. The same applies to confidence, a woman being he leader of the group doesn't trigger sexual attraction in men, it might even lead to the opposite as the man might end up thinking he's not enough for her and thus invest more time on a lower level woman in the group who triggers just as muc…

The reason usually given for why women are more selective is safety, non inherent piciness. From this premise it is a non-sequitur that PUA tactics would work as they have little to do with making oneself appear safe, they also include that but it's such a small part of the whole strategy. PUA tactics aim at highlighting qualities that are very far from what would turn on a man, thus this question can help in understanding gender and sex differences. As a man, it's bizarre to me that a frame wou…

No PUA tactic involves promising a woman a LTR or buying her dinner. PUA involves tactics like negging, canned DHVs, push/pull, fake frames, micro-tactics like conspiracies et similia. PUAs bed women the same night with these tactics, they inspire sexual attraction through this. I've found dating advice from women often useless, I think it's because a) Women assume finding dates is as easy for men as it is for them. For example, most women think most men get a good amount of matches on dating apps just like they do unless they purposedly learn about the men's experience. So, let put things clear, you had men falling in love with you constantly? What happened exactly? How is that hurtul as being rejected by your love? Romantic love implies both liking someone personality and attractivness, sexual loves implies only the latter, platonic love implies only the former. Romantic love is thus more flattering. How can someone be hurt because one literally loves them? How can you hate someone who felt so hurt? They really like you and need time and space to recharge Seei…

I don't have studies but I constalty see them mourning that their life doesn't make sense and feel worthless, to me there's a direct link between rejection, feeling unattractive and depression but I respect your opinion.

In the threads I've quoted, men didn't want only sex from women in ther life, they fall for them or "girlfriend-zoned" them, or otherwise asked out on romantic dates. This is what the women report, it's not my interepretation. I know women have an adversion to casual sex and that's why these threads struck me. Again, entitlemetn alone doesn't lead to depression, in Muslim theocracies women are also forced to marry and face the death penalty if they commit adultery, the state has basically ownership of female bodies in these places yet men don't have higher depression symptoms in these countries. Entitlement doesn't lead to depression, it's a complete non-sequitur. Mutliple replicated studiesall over the world show that more than 70% of men would say yes to a random woman asking them in public to have sex even when the woman is classified as unattractive. It's hypergamy because average women date up if they have so many options for sex and relationships (high SMV and RMV) but average men do not, average women have a similar SMV and RMV to top-tier men who are the only men who have so many options and women coming after them. Average men have way less pursuers than average women for both sex and relationship so most women are aiming above these guys, otherwise these average men would have as many people falling for them as average women but in rea…

A black guy, asian guy, indian guy, a non-white latino guy won't get the same results. In the US, dating apps stats show that Asian women have a preference for white men and asian men while dislike other races. Asian men are instead significantly less discriminatory and basically like every race.

Physical factors are significantly important, though probably not as as they are for men. Women respond to visual stimuli as well, in fact in sexology tests women showed physical arousal to a wider variety of sexual images than men. Are you referring to this study? Women responding to a wider variety of sexual stimuli doesn't mean they are as visually aroused as men. To give you an example, bisexual people aren't more sexually visual because they find more genders attractive.Women respond even t…

Maybe you misread the article but Vox is saying that marriage is not bad for women, it was the Guardian that said marriage is bad for women and then such notion was refuted by Vox. Vox even included a link to the Guardian article to badmount them. Yes, Vox is leftist but their journalism is very good - unlike with The Guardian. The Guardian has a good news section but their opinion section is a mess.

My experience matches yours. I have a lot of former "incel" friends (not actual incels, just guys who were virgin, not by choice and insecure about it), once they got into relationships they all ended up complaining about the neediness and clinginess of their partners at some point. There was a very "incel" friend of mine who even hated just spending 15 minutes at the phone with his girlfriend every day, I remember telling him that's part of being in a relationship and he replied by saying that …

Well, PPD is not a very representative sample for average guys. For example, according to PPD surveys 75-80% of guys here are single while only 50% of men aged 18-30 are single (Pew Research data) and only 30% of men aged 30-40 are single. 40% of PPD men identify as incel but only 22% of guys aged 18-35 didn't have sex in 2021 (GCC data) and even less among older men. I think insecure and thus men with anxiety-attachment styles are over-represented in this sub, thus why they seem to prefer needy…

What makes an attractive man at a bar attractive? What makes an appealing man appealing?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/22 10:29 PM

That's very interesting. If I may ask, do you fall in the asexual-demisexual spectrum? Your way ot feeling attraction is almost unique even among women. Things would be easier if traits we consider compatibie were the same as the traits we find attractive like it seems to happen in your case, unfortunately for most people compatibility and attraction are different things. For example, the second guy you didn't like due to the behavorial traits I assigned to him has been used on multiple Tinder e…

I'm not condoning cheating, I would advise the female coworker to leave their partner if she felt the need to pursue something outside the relationship - even with me - due to lack of attraction towards their partner. If my partner no longer felt attraction in the relatiosnhip and felt the need to confide this to others, I'd conside the latter the lesser of the two problems. Maybe a good time to end the relationship. The point is, people are talking about attraction in this thread. No man here i…

Do you realise this post is about attraction? Not making friends. In all your examples, the men confiding to you their vulenrabilities in order to attract you repulssed you instead which kinda proves OP's point. If a female boss or female coworker confided me her probles to build sexual intimacy, I wouldn't be repulsed.

We are absolutely capable of carnal desire from an emotional connection, just like you. No, we are not. Would you be more turned on by a woman with the same body of you favorite pornstar and who's a lot into you but only sexually or a plain Jane with whom you an emotional connection? Emotional connection is definitely an appreciated plus but the bulk of sexual desire is detrmined by physical appearance for us. We know immediately if a woman turns us on or not, it's like a light switch.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 01:56 AM

Like you I don't actively think about it if we're not in a relationship, still it doesn't take me much to get turned on by passive inputs when I'm sexually attracted to someone - including a female friend. For example when I see them at the beach I feel aroused, if they sit on my lap I feel aroused, if they post a sexy picture on social media I feel aroused by looking at it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 11:58 PM

I wanted to point that out too, thanks for reminding me that. The data from the study does indeed shows that women feel more romantic attraction than sexual attractio towards their opposite-sex friend while it's the opposite for men as they feel more sexual attraciton than romantic attraction towards their opposite-sex friend. The confusion is mutual, as a man I can't fathom having romantic feelings for someone wihtout sexual desire but this seems to be common among women instead.

The vast majority of crimes are committed against men, try being a short man: women are repulsed by you and you can't defend yourself fromviolent crime which, as a man, you are more likely to face - murder especially. So no, men face both problems, especially some categories like short men.

Then you are less visual and horny than men. If I see a pair of big tits I get aroused, I don't have to actively want it, the same applies to gay men and my dick.

Exactly, many dating apps have even gender ratios if not more womes. These apps often do not have the classic swipe format and are targeted more towards people looking for more serious relationships. Tinder is mainly a hook-up app, I don't think it's a coincidence that it has one of the worst gender ratios (4:1 men to women).

No, I'm not. From the APA dictionary of psychology: romantic love: a type of love in which intimacy and passion are prominent features. Although the loved party is often idealized, research indicates that the lover’s sexual arousal is an especially important component of this type of love. In some taxonomies of love, romantic love is identified with passionate love and distinguished from companionate love; in others, it is seen as involving elements of both. It's just an hypothesis like your hypothesis, you can't prove either that lack of emotional support explains higher infiammation rates in single men or men after a break up. I find my hypothesis more convicing than yours because lack of emotional support - unlike diet - should also predict higher depression among single men than single women but this is not true. Most studies show that women are more likely to have depression, of course these studies suffer what what every cross-sectional study …

Coupled men are more likely to eat what women eat and thus cook, it makes sense that on average they would eat less healthy after a break up or when they are single. I'm talking about eating healthy and it's not just an hypothesis that women do this better than men. Studies show that women tend to have higher intakes of fruit and vegetables, higher intakes of dietary fiber and lower intakes of fat. This is the definition of eating healthy. Several studies have described remarkable differences in…

I'm not self-sacrificial towards women, if one punched me I'd punch her back just like I would do against a man (unless he's way bigger than me). I don't sacrifice myself for women. The only thing I need more from the opposite sex due to biology is sex, the thirst is strong.

I think this is more of an advantage when you get older, like +35. I have 5-6 steps daily skin care routine plus weekly exfoliation as I'm into skin care since I was 12. Yes, my skin is good but at my age (mid 20s) a lot of guys naturally have good skin thanks to their young age. The average guy in his 20s won't get casual sex from this, I've never even had sex and not by choice lol. Skin care is a good way to be more attractive 20 years from now though.
