Money questionYou’re right in a sense I am starting to think dollars on hand more valuable than restricted dollars. I’m 32 (I’ll build my retirement back). It would be anywhere from 50-100k in equity as my portion of the house. She will get my best and final offer soon. It sounds crazy but that equity is my biggest chip. She wants the house and wants the equity. I need to work backwards from there. | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/11/25 10:43 AM
No one cares about menWish I could up vote this 100 times. I do not regret my marriage because I have two kids. Did I think I was different my wife and I were special? Marriage has been draining moved away no friends I have my job and my kids and now I sleep in the basement. You prioritize your kids now that’s what I have been doing every free moment is a bonding moment for me with them. Will I ever get married again .. not a chance in the world | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/10/25 09:57 AM
NY CSMeeting with one Thursday but I’ve consulted with 2 others they just say the cap (3k) plus a little but my wife is saying I “made an expensive mistake” and already told me she’s looking for more | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/10/25 01:38 AM
NY CSI’m with you 100% I can accept the money if it’s going to my children. 100% no questions asked. But all the bills on this house (mortgage electric trash water) add up to 2600 a month. Even if in theory I have to pay 100% of those bills a month plus 200 a week to feed the kids that’s 3k. Other basic needs per month let’s say 500 total (seems high) that’s 3500 and that’s me paying all the bills. I can live with 3500. It’s not set in stone so I don’t have a number but she is “coming after me” I “ma… | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/10/25 01:37 AM
6 months in and still can't believe itGet some help man. Go talk to someone it’s not easy and it used to be taboo or whatever, but therapy has done wonders for me. It’s at least allowed me to look inward and my faults and try to become a better person and father. It’s helped me accept change and not feel bitter. Your allowed to live a happy life you have many years left don’t waste it | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/10/25 11:09 AM

Hardest part is the kids?Haven’t brought up the other stuff, I’ve already come to terms with my actions. The affair was a a while ago and ended a while ago. The marriage wasn’t good before during or after. She even says to our counselor she remembers me communicating my unhappiness before the affair | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/10/25 01:15 PM
