Talking about trauma and tarot is indeed a bit weird, at least for the type of person who isn't a hippie dippey type.

Ballet, Pilates, acting classes preferably physical theatre, and theatre therapy. Maybe even public speaking classes could help you.

It will not hurt you to cook a meal yourself, or pay for cinema and popcorn. Pay for a gym membership to spend time together. The title baffles me successful MEN suggests it's more than one guy that has made the same observation. Are all your dates dinner? It could be a red flag for him that you are with him for free meals, so can save your money.

Hannah Öberg is very knowledgeable, her husband also is a lifter, she has been around forever and she has released several guides, older ones are printable.. I recommend her because she truly has a program for everyone. She does show her body a lot, but personally I don't mind. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnfJ41uKdI9/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

I have the most unpopular opinion in the matter. I'm all for matchmaking and arranged marriage. You might not be familiar with matchmaking process but it's like a job interview and there is also meeting the people, see if you vibe with them, courtship phase where you test your chemistry. It's not like you get married without ever talking to the other person. The biggest difficulty is if you have to move in another country, you have to fully uproot your life and it's a big decision. I was married…

Mary Harrington's book Feminism Against Progress and interviews. From her book's overview: "Feminism" has been captured by well-off white-collar women, who use it to advance their own economic and political interests under the pretense that these are the interests of all women—all the while wielding the term like a club against anyone, male or female, who dissents. For me personally, I'm the old timey suffragette type of feminist, that believes in equal rights to education, property, voting, acc…

Super cute 💖 my uncle and aunt met like this!!! They lived in the same building my uncle in the top floor my aunt the floor below. The both owned their homes, and when they married they moved in the smaller apartment and turned the bigger one to an entertainment and work space.

I've never been anywhere without letting my parents or my husband know where I'm going 😸 that's common sense. When I have to leave my home, even if no-one is here to say it in person I will message my family where I'm going, it's simply a practical thing we all do but it's so common it's not emphasized explicitly, obviously certain groups imagine it doesn't happen out of imaginary unhinged behaviours since western people don't treat it to be the absolute pilar of morality. It's just human normal…

Not to cause more drama here but consent and justification for big decisions that involve a married couple or a family are things that are being treated very seriously in the west too. Abandoning and failing to provide care for a dependent spouse or minor children is considered criminal spousal abandonment. A spouse is also not free to refuse to support any children from the marriage. Legally, minor children must be provided for. Providing means a clean and safe home, healthy food, education, a …

Romantic at home early dinner & movie, as it's weeknight and we have a very early morning the next day. I'm making heart shaped gnocchi, I got chocolate truffles, I'm getting a bottle of rosé and we are watching Wong Kar-Wai’s In the Mood for Love.

Tannins from tea and red wine make me violently sick. For me it's plain coffee, energy drinks, and electrolytes. 👍🏻 A caffeine alternative is Guarana which is a natural stimulant.

I don't think men can actually perceive women as ugly if they are slim, well groomed with nice hair and clothes. It's probably your own personal insecurity that's talking now, not reality. Even a classically beautiful person has their bad days that they might not fix their hair, they don't do their makeup, they have chipping nails, and wear old sweats. In my experience the efforts a person puts in themselves is always well received by society.

I met my husband at work, same company, he was a manager in another building, I was in headquarters. Previous relationships, I dated seriously my surgeon who I met when he operated on me (tonsils), and a friend of a friend also from work. And a couple of insignificant dates, again friends of friends. I'm an older millennial, I don't know much about meeting a partner online. I have good female friends that I met online though, our values and lives are very similar.

My first boyfriend 🤣 He cheated as soon as I got mono. It could be I got mono because he was cheating but I didn't investigate further. The day we met after I got better he broke up with me. To be honest there were many red flags, and I resisted the relationship in the beginning. For instance he romanticised his father's cheating. His mom was passive aggressive about it, and she wouldn't divorce but would passive aggressively do stuff to hurt everyone. It was a really bad situation and I should …

Do you feel you have to win her over? If so, why? In every environment we might come across people who we will not get along with well. It's ok. If she isn't your friend, politely ignore her. Be nice and neutral like any other stranger. She might need time to warm up. No reason to do or say something. No need for grand gestures or drama. If you say anything your common friend will not like it, and she will avoid you. I wanted to add something. In kindergarten teacher would drill it on us to get …

Good for you for working out it's very important for your health. Losing weight is 80% what you eat so your main focus must be your intake in foods and drink. Don't drink your calories, only drink water, black coffee and herbal tea, and plenty of it as thirst is sometimes perceived as hunger. Drinks with calories will only add calories without the benefit of keeping you full. You will be hungry soon. No alcohol. Search volume eating here in Reddit, it's basically filling up with lower calorie bu…

Humans survive and thrive in groups,we are social animals and we do better in a group than alone. Small groups like a family or larger like a country. So the idea that everyone MUST BE INDEPENDENT as if it's a normal and expected human trait, it's kind of crazy and in all honesty dangerous. Social isolation leads to vulnerability and affects health and well being. Never forget misery loves company, and miserable lonely people want everyone around them to be lonely and miserable. Take care!

With illness, babies, different schedules, messed up sleep patterns during covid etc we often play musical beds and we end up sleeping in different beds or couches, bed sharing with babies, someone crashing in a guest bedroom for quiet sake, etc. Intimacy was never a problem. Sleep is different and separate from intimate activity. Sleep is necessary for health and wellbeing, so do whatever works for you.

I would totally take a sabbatical and work at the beach front for fun 😊 Try it on weekends! I actually did help out at a friend's restaurant during my vacation for free, I did a little hosting, waiting and helped a bit in the food prep during his busiest nights, it was hard work, but very satisfying if you like meeting new people all the time. I don't know if it would work long term, not because of the customers, but because I can't handle co-workers drama 🤪 lol

The suicidal thoughts thing is red flag. Let's get into the issue though. Tell me you are in the Netherlands/Germany/Sweden without telling me. I feel for you. The mentality there is very anti feminine, they want to transform all women in neutral non gendered spineless creatures, worse than working bees. As he is your first real boyfriend you probably don't have experience on how to be upfront about some things, and how to actually approach those very fundamental things that make or break a rela…

Realistically speaking who in this time and age is without a past? Even virgins had platonic boyfriends and crushes that the next boyfriend or husband might be jealous of. My friend was a virgin when she was married and her husband is jealous of everyone... I don't have a big body count (less than 5 people), as I was working full time and didn't really have time to hook up, I had a couple of proper relationships (both proposed, and I turned down), and a couple of not serious dates. You can enjoy the next few months to the fullest. Go to parties, travel, do crazy things you both want. Or not. It's up to the individual. By 30 I was kinda tired of going to parties to be honest, and we started getting in bed early hahaha so it was a good indicator we were very ready to be parents. Btw the baby didn't stop us from travelling, he is a good travel buddy to be honest and it's a beautiful experience to revisit favourite places with our child.

Clapping back with such comments is just being an insecure busybody who is the actual misogynist. Only they attack women's choice to be feminine. What was for many years truly internal misogyny was the vilifying of hyper femininity, attacking the girly girls, hating the women who were very feminine, and wouldn't change to comply with society's pressure to become a neutral, spineless hybrid of a person.

We got married when I was 23 and had our baby at 32, by choice. Both of us wanted to be 100% secure, financially and emotionally before a child, and I knew I wanted to stay at home to be a full time parent. I wanted to finish my studies, see where my career was going, save money, enjoy a couple's life, do as much travel and partying (with my husband) as possible. I don't regret anything.

ALSO the fact that he takes care of you is a sign of masculinity. Masculine men take joy in taking care of their partners and making them feel relaxed. Insecure a holes who are not comfortable in their own masculinity play cat and mouse games, push pull, create chaos just for their amusement. Push pull is a (dark) feminine feature , not masculine.

You are conditioned to be pushed and pulled by the narcissist that you confuse torture with attraction. It's how the sadists trap you and demean you for their own pleasure. Don't let your guy go. Get therapy, treasure what you have, and heal.

You can be a good person without being a doormat. Saying no, setting healthy boundaries, needing your own time, having high standards etc is not being a bad person, just a healthy, balanced person. A good relationship is not servitude. It's cooperation. The imbalanced people will not stick around when you set your boundaries.

Join female groups of your special interest, preferably in your area. Get together with them for meet ups, and be kind and generous to eachother. I agree to some extent with the OP, she has a point. However not everyone has the same opportunities to come from money, be in good private schools, to continue with an expensive post graduate, and get to know these people from inside their circle. In that case you work twice as hard to educate yourself more than average. Personally I met my husband at work, I studied finance, and worked in finance. I didn't go to a private school, my dad had a mediocre government job, and my family was in debt,…

I'm sorry it didn't work out. You are not too old to restart, and you already have a lot of experience in life and work. Being a hard worker is always a plus. Most people, regardless of their gender, don't have a career. A job that pays the bills is not a career. It's still honourable and respectful to work for a living. How else are you going to survive? Not everyone makes it big time on their path. I was literally killing myself in my sector and it never became a career that I would be proud o…

Of course it's possible. I got married to a HVM when I was 23. However it will not just happen because you simply wish it. Most possibly you will start networking soon through work. You must be very VERY involved in every social aspect of your work, and not waste your energy with irrelevant things. You mentioned YouTube... This will not go well with HVM. As someone said be more private and more "professional" on your social media. So curate your public image, keep a LinkedIn and an Instagram acc…

I hate micromanaging. At work or at home. I like people taking initiative. I will teach/coach and then they are in their own. With a man it's even more risky to micromanage him. If he is a little softer he will soon surrender to you mothering him and telling him what to do. You are his partner, not his mom. STFU is far more used by men because they understand the value of it. I think it's fair game for everyone to once in a while utilize. Not out of malice, but out of strategy. If you don't let …
