I'm using I Ching as a therapeutic tool for stress. There are many recourses in this you can look into it. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/more-light/201611/the-i-ching-facilitator-in-psychotherapy
I took an interest in the technique while researching the various therapy styles available: I was introduced to Ursula Brasch, M.A. she studied sinology, history, and politics in Freiburg and Tübingen, in Germany. She is a training analyst and supervisor at the C.G. Jung Institutes of Zürich and Stuttgart, as well as a member of the Curatorium of the C.G. Jung Institute Zürich. She has engaged in many years of teaching and lecturing on analytical psychology, clinical psychology, and the I Ching.
After doing a little research of my own I started using it, not for divination, but simply as a tool that will help me to create personal and inner restoration.
I had a few stressful days recently and got some pretty good advice. Today I just had general anxiety about my anxiety 😔 so I asked how should I deal with stress . A very open ended question. I got hexagram 2, "the receptive" symbolised by 坤 which means feminine. Even someone not familiar with the philosophy behind I Ching, can understand what being receptive and feminine means. The answer to my question was brutally clear. To stop stressing I must stop trying to lead and control, to lean into the feminine and receptive side and accept guidance.
I just wanted to share with you, some wisdom from Chinese philosophy and a system that is accepted among Jungian analysts, that has truly helped me in my efforts to heal, self improve, and live a less stressful life.
What are your successful tools and your advice on managing stress?
