I understand where men who fudge their numbers come from. My decision came down to the trust I lost as a result of his inaction and the way I found out. Thank you for your thoughts!

Thank you. I have considered all your questions and it was good food for thought. Though I made my decision already, I will certainly keep these questions in mind as part of the vetting process going forward!

His age was on his profile, and I asked a question that let me calculate his age. I would be more inclined to believe that it was a mistake if it were 1-3 years older/younger, but he is 8 years older than what was on his profile. Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I did think about your comments about distinguishing between the intention during my decision making process.

Thank your for your thoughts! It helped me calm down and re-examine myself. Though I will be cutting it off with him, your advice has offered me a new perspective to consider in future vetting.

Oh, definitely not ghosting him, but after thinking about what everyone said the past few days, I don’t think it is worth it to go on another date with him just to confront him. Thank you for your advice!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. These past few days, I definitely considered asking him and seeing how he responds, but I am like 80% sure I no longer want to continue seeing him and 20% open to hearing his reasoning. I guess at this point, I don’t feel it’s worth my time to hear him out. Thank you again for your advice!

Based on his answer to my question related to his age, he is nowhere near what he stated on his profile. As in he is like 8 years older than what was stated. Thank you for your cautioning me and the food for thought!

Congratulations! I am glad it worked out for you. Ultimately, I decided that I do not want to waste more of my time with someone I feel I can no longer trust. Thank you for sharing your experience, though. It helped me think about this circumstance in a different point of view as well.

Thank you for your thoughts. I definitely do need to start believing I am the prize and improve the way I view and hold myself. If you do not mind me asking, how did you do it?

I am absolutely not okay being lied to, but I feel that I shouldn’t be this angry about the lie and that I am being unfair... Thank you for the advice about the second chance. Definitely a better way of phrasing it.

I am so glad to hear that! We met on Coffee Meets Bagel. I met my ex-boyfriend on there and have met some other solid Christian guys on there as well. Always have been a thing. Seeing as how “sexually abstinent” doesn’t seem to imply virginity by the number of questions about my virginity...is there another term you would use? Also, thank you for your input. Some others here have also mentioned that, and it helps strengthen my conviction. Thank you!
/r/RedPillWomen08/06/19 12:44 AM
1

Thank you for your answer! Hm...I do see your point about it being awkward and fast to mention it, but at the same time, it is a non-negotiable for me and I am pretty sure it is for a majority of guys out there too. If the date is going well, isn’t it courtesy to let him know, and for my benefit as well, to make that clear so we don’t waste our times? I feel like I’d just be more crushed if I fall for him more, and he rejects me because of my boundary. Maybe I’m reading too many online articles …

Firstly, I love how both of you are here and giving to the community. Secondly, I think that’s great advice from you two about about being a jack of all trades. Do you have any more recommendations on which areas I should start learning more about? Some things I can think of in addition to the ones you mentioned are movies, TV shows, sports, exercising, games, technology, music....any other major ones? Finance/investing maybe?

Thanks for your thoughtful answer. Hm...that is a great point you bring up about straddling having a personality and being pleasant to the point of being boring. It’s something I’ve been struggling with since I’ve tried to be less sarcastic, critical, naggy, etc. I guess I’ve used those things as a crutch and now I’m lost on how to be humorous, etc. and be myself. It’s almost like I lost a piece of myself as bad as that part of myself was. I’ll work to listen more on our upcoming date and any ot…

I guess I am having a hard time balancing letting the man lead and bringing up those straightforward topics myself. I’ll keep an eye out for the rebounds. Didn’t even consider it. & I admire how you protected your time and energy, by the way! Will take your advice and bring it up as a question! Do you think something like, “Btw, just curious, how many girlfriends/girls have you had in the past?” in a semi-playful way would be an okay lead in?

Dating App (known for being used more for something more serious rather than casual). I filter out for people of my religion. I usually give people 2 dates (1 if I am really not feeling it) before deciding whether it will work out or not.

Would you still recommend being upfront about it? I am thinking during second date might be best and the least weird/awkward. Also, what kind of woman would be worth it? How do I become that kind of woman? I have been working on shutting up, not nagging, not arguing, not criticizing, less complaining, exercising more (on the skinny-average side but could be more fit), dressing more femininely, and being vulnerable based on what I have read on this sub, but I still feel kind of lost/hopeless.
/r/RedPillWomen07/06/19 07:27 PM
2

Thank you. Never considered that perspective. I guess I was also considering the incompatibility portion of it as well (religious convictions, view of life, expectations, etc.). I’ll keep an eye out for men who readily agree too!
/r/RedPillWomen07/06/19 04:56 PM
2

That is what I am afraid of...losing the really good men because of abstinence, but since I made this choice because of my religious beliefs, I will just have to bear what comes. Thank you for your honesty!!
/r/RedPillWomen07/06/19 04:54 PM

I will think about it a bit more! I would love to go on the second date, but considering the day and age and how young he is, I am not too optimistic about the outcome. I don’t want to come off as a manipulator or wasting his time, etc. either so am a bit hesitant on going on the second date. But I may be getting ahead of myself. Perhaps second date won’t be bad...haha I’m like running around in circles in my head. Anyway, thank you for your advice! I’ll definitely take it into consideration.

Thank you for the encouraging words! I know I need to tell him, but I guess I am confused on when and how to tell him. Haha I did filter out for Christians on the dating app and matched with him. 😅

It seems coffee before the second date looks to be the best choice...thank you! Do you have any idea how to bring this up if we were to meet up for cofffee? It just seems so awkward to just be like, “Btw, I really like you, but I’m sexually abstinent and thought I should let you know before we progressed further.”

In regards to "[shoving them] towards red pill," would something simple like, "I like that your confidence" or "I like how easily you can do X, Y, Z" be sufficient? Wow. Didn't think it should be that straightforward. Interesting! & I'll check out those speakers. Thanks again!

And i would say consistent volunteering is a good idea too. It helps you build stronger relationships so that people can truly give you good recommendations regarding single men but its a numbers game. If you feel the people at the volunteering thing dont know any single men or aren't single men....... dont volunteer there consistently :P Oops. Just saw your comment. Thank you! Oh, I'm not looking for someone who makes $500k....that would be pretty unrealistic. It's more of a "it would be nice if I could have that in the future" wish/daydream, which is what I thought she meant? As long as the guy has some sort of ambition/plan for his future and works hard to achieve that goal, I would be happy. I would rather be with someone who has a goal in mind and works hard towards it making less than the average income rather than someone who makes 6 figures who doesn't.

Combining responses! Gosh. Wake up call...I knew 24 was close, but hearing it from someone else is like, "Bam!" Hm...in 20 years, I would love to have several children, be married happily, and be successful in my career and have the ability to work part-time. Someone who makes enough so that I can be a STAHM if for the first half of our children's lives without needing to worry about money....I'm guessing at least $500k then (gosh...that's a lot of money...)? Could be. I know I want to pursue this dream and am spending a lot of resources on chasing it. I know I want to get married. What kind of guy I want, I am not too sure yet. Whether I want to date right now? Mixed feelings. Based on my last attempt in trying to date, I felt I wasn’t ready, but at the same time, I want to date? You could very well be right. Could you please elaborate?

Thank you! I did try online dating about a month ago, and it just didn't feel right at the time. I wanted to wait a few more months before trying again. Do you think this is just a phase I need to get over? I figured it was due to the fact that I may not be completely over the break up (not that I want to get back together with my ex though). I just don't think I can go on a date without feeling...down? Not sure how to put it into words. When I do start again, I will cast a wider net at first as…

I could be humble bragging, but I do want to hear other ways to better use my time, hence the detailed post. Hm...that is a good question! I would say I am a good person and a good listener. I look for the good things in people and try to actively compliment them and make them feel comfortable. To attract men, I would say my legs are pretty nice as is my smile! I have been told I am sweet and think I generally make a good first impression. Thank you for your answer! Combining my reply for your other comment into this one. The priority point you made is something that I have been struggling with. The industry I am trying to enter highly favors the youth, but at the same time, so do men. The hobby I am trying to turn into a career is a dream that I finally had the courage to work towards in the past few years. It is so important to me. I know you cannot answer for me, but I am torn.
