I like it too. It's good to have spaces where saying left winged ideas and being mindful of the plight of men doesn't get you dog piled and banned. Left of center. I care more for their ideas than what they call themselves in this context. If someone expresses prejudice or ignores classic left winged philosophy then I wouldn't consider them left winged regardless if they told me they were until they were blue in the face. This does get harder on the extremes because we can no true scottsmen people this way but at least that general vibe. Plenty of far left people are openly bigoted so the definition does sorta breakdown at that point.

I agree, I think this space is good. What prompted me was just the diversity of opinions. It's so incredibly diverse, which I'm not necessarily against. Maybe it's good to have a space looking at mens issues that's moderated by left winged people so it doesn't get out of hand. To me it feels more like mens advocacy group rather than a strictly left winged group, though one like you said that's run very well.

I'm pro conscription but Its obviously a common left position to be against. Ironically I wouldn't classify myself as a leftist or left winged. I don't have a problem with anything. There's just a lot of support for opinions that are regressive or conservative. It seems like there's a large section of the subreddit that is here specifically to discuss male issues but don't necessarily take a left winged angle. It's is certainly less though their rights are still on the chopping block. They've recently lost their constitutional right to an abortion and certain aspects of healthcare related to abortion procedures are getting increasingly difficult. In foreign countries that face extreme oppression of women there's definitely more room for feminist movements.

Same. I guess from your take we aren't losing leftist because they aren't and never had been leftist; it's all aesthetics and larp. That's a part of the problem right, what do we do. The part of the left that hates men is poisoning the rest of us and dragging us down. I agree on some groups of the left compared to the right. The male hating groups scare me, if they had a serious road to power I'd oppose them as strongly as I do maga. I can't be a right winger, I'm still convinced of my left winged positions. I use the word convinced because I'm extremely open to changing my mind on things as long as it's supported by data. That's a principle I take pride in and doesn't come naturally, it's like putting duck tape on my leg and ripping the hairs out. I think you might be conflating the left with Democrats. The far left is actually pretty small but extremely loud. One thing that makes them super small is they'll take almost any reason to not vote. The overwhelming majority of Democrats don't hate white people or men. A lot of them are a bit clueless on mens issues but it'd be possible to talk to them and have support around the topic. One thing about the video that is interesting and not a waste of time is how crazy members of the left took it. Even this super minor video that barely scratches the surface of mens issues has been extremely disruptive. Most of the left hate men which makes this video stand out.

Omg, LWA. You're referring to LWA or left winged authoritarian. I was just reading about that. I've always been a leftist though I don't think I'll use that term anymore, but there's been a ton of studies on it. A huge section of the left has basically formed into something like a political cult. Like maga they've lost most of their ability to critically think, self awareness, or introspection. It's spooky that it exists on both sides of the spectrum.
